Pre Post Routing Mode For Eventide H9 Guitar Pedal

Музыка

Pre/Post routing mode allows you to change where your Eventide H9 guitar pedal sits in your signal chain. For example, some people like to put their wah effect before their distortion, while others like to put it after. If you wanted to do this in a traditional way, you’d have to unhook everything, and hook it back up with a different signal flow. Now this can be done on the Eventide H9 without removing any cables.

Can you give some help in how to make connections using H9 with Roland GR-55? Because, GR-55 is a guitar synth and I need plug guitar in the GR at first. Thanks.

I have set this routing up and I get no output from output 2 to the mixer. The signal is getting to the H9 because the green light comes on. Any ideas? Worked fine outside of pre/post mode.

Hey, this is great! If I rout all my modulation for post and the dirt for pre with my amp with fx loop everything will be fine. But what if I change to my other amp with no FX Loop and just use Input 1 and Output 1? Will the modulation effects then "become pre", even if they are set to post? Or will there be just no signal at all? Thank you in advance!

Then I guess you just switch back to normal routing mode and pre/post option doesn't matter?

Under "General Settings" my H9 Control App does not have a "Routing" option. I have software version 5.4 on my H9 pedal and my H9 Control app is Version 1.6.2.6... Please let me know what I should do! Thanks!

Hi Alex, the latest version of the app is 2.7.4 Download the latest version, update your H9 via the app, and you will have the routing capabilities.

Hi. When I do what is shown in the video, the H9 will come up with OutLvl option , not the Input... I just bought the pedal and I do not know how to properly set up the input level (it is very low level compared to bypassed signal). Please help me. Thanks

To set up the input level, you can either use H9Control or with the pedal using the following steps: 1. Hold down the right Footswitch and the HOTKNOB button simultaneously until the system menu comes up. 2. Using the black encoder wheel, scroll to the right until it reads "UTILS" and click the wheel to enter the utility menu. 3. Scroll to the right to find 'INGAIN". Again, click the black encoder wheel to enter the menu where you can now adjust your input gain (with the encoder wheel). If you accidentally go into the wrong menu, you can click the PRESETS button at any time to go back a page.

H9 only allows one algorithm at a time, so the answer is no; however, many algorithms combine multiple processes.

Well, I'm doing this perfectly with my H9 MAX, but using it in input+fx loop with amp distortion and any digital delay cause high frequency unsustainable high pitch ear breaking noises. In addiction, changing pre/post modes changes the sound totally: different volume and different equalization forcing me to readjust the sound every time. On the other hand, using it "normally", without pre/post mode (thus only in input or only in the fx loop, using the in1-out1) works great. But I spent 700 bucks for this...and I needed this function to work properly. (Oh, my cables are perfect, my guitar is totally noiseless and my fx loop amp is the best I ever had... )

If you hold the Right footswitch & Hotknob button pressed for two seconds you can manually enter System Mode. Use the big black knob to scroll through menu options; turn it until you get to [UTILS]. Then, press the black knob and find [ROUTE]. Scroll to choose between Normal, Pre.Post or Wet.Dry. Exit system mode using the initial step.

@@texasironforge.4913 Awesome. Just another note, when you’re in System Mode and you want to go up the tree, use the “Presets” button to back out. Sometimes if I get lost in the System menu tree, I press “presets” a couple of times to find my bearing before continuing to scroll.
