Leon Todd is a SUPERSTAR in so many ways I cannot say: * His music knowledge is exceptional. * He knows how to dial ANY tone. * He is an awesome guitar player (his band, Ragdoll, is just brilliant!) * He is a great human being (I had troubles connecting my Eventide H9 to my Fractal audio AX8 and he created a diagram for me so i could better understand the cable connections!)

Awesome to hear that worked!
I just purchased my H9 Max thanks to this video. It definitely doesn’t disappoint in person. I’ve been looking for that clean tone effect for years. Finally found it thanks to this video.
This guy. Tone and Talent and genuinely decent. Tri Chorus is life. Tri Chorus is love.
Bravo Leon, amazing demo and great playing! Thumbs up for Eventide, this chorus algo sounds inspiring
Great demo Leon, sounds great, i love the sound of the Tri Chorus.......80's heaven.

That's Really Cool Leon! Thanks for sharing brother! Be Well!
Chorus is a lot of fun! Here’s a spatial effect that can widen a mix without needing dominant levels. Like salt, a little is all you need.
Great video Leon.
That thing is pretty damn awesome man! Great video and awesome playing as always my friend

Cheers mate. Definitely gotten my money's worth with this little thing over the years.
4:46 - that...is Schmo. Been listening to Dann Huff's GIANT lately. If you haven't checked out 'Time to Burn', do. It's the last of the 80's hard rock that GIANT produced. Lots of Schmo in there. As always, great demo job LT!

That Dan Huff instructional video floating around KZread with him in the studio showing us how "it's done" is phenomenal. When he shows that "Jangle" part with chorus and delay in "Stay", that gets me every time I watch it.

Giant are amazing. Dan is a true legend of the guitar.
H9 used with AXEFX 3= World Domination :) Really dug the Tribrato and @ 7:28 instant Pat Travers. Well done Leon!!
You are the maestro master of effects and modelling, not to count guitar instruction and many other music related endeavours. 👍💝👍

Leon thank you!
I saw a rumour that Eventide was going to release a new algo for NAMM 2020 and was hoping it was going to be a univibe, but this chorus looks pretty cool. H9 is an amazing pedal, and any new algos at this stage is a bonus.
Love it - helped me decide to sink my teeth into an H9 Max. Definitely not disappointed, quite the opposite! Love the stereo outs.
That is some !!!!! KILLER !!!! playing, Leon! The tone is amazing, but your playing... only multiple exclamation points can do it justice!!!! I find myself jamming to that first "Def Leppard" like composition in the very beginning, it's just so damn good! Could you upload the backing track to it?
This is good news. My H9 hasn’t been getting much love lately. I use a ch1 for a split in my loop. I wonder if this will dry out one side? Gonna have to check this out!! Great vid as always!!!

Great demos of an amazing chorus. I have been using the UAD plugin of the dimension and it's great. I just bought a H9 Max off eBay for a silly price. I am soooo excited by what it can do, and the APP is the key to what was a very complex process with Eventide rack stuff I did have at one time.

@@jmd12331 £470 they are regularly near that now as opening prices. Some people just don’t get how they are designed to be used I think.
So many of the presets for this just blur together. They're just all that indispensable sound that can turn a clean tone into the Police, or turn a distortion that makes you want to play "Battery" into one that makes you want to play "Barracuda".
I have to admit, up till now, I haven't been super thrilled with the cost/usage ratio of my H9. But this algorithm is simply awesome. I'm finding ways to use it everywhere - possibly too much!

Good Killer of giants tone.
You should describe your signal path in these videos. H9 is sometimes best stereo post amp and sometimes best mono before the amp.
Well done with the Dann Huff reference

Looking to purchase a H9. I have one question.Can it do the Aerosol flanger of Lexicon fame?
Can we please get the same demo with a single coil split style Les Paul?? There’s nobody that I’ve seen demo tri-stereo chorus with a Les Paul! I’m really curious haha!
That's hot
Chris DeGarmo called. He wants you to give me his sound. lol
great job as always man! i just have one question....do you connect your h9 with pre/post routing or normal? (for example: your tri-chorus presets are in front of amp and delay in loop or everything goes in the loop ?) thanks in advance for your time:)
@LeonTodd
2 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate. I usually use in normal for stereo routing, especially for something like tricera.
That Dimension E Preset didn't make the cut, can you share the settings?
@halfbakedschemes

Yes please!
I noticed a preset called Dimension E. Is that something you created? Or is that an Eventide preset?
Leon, a question - how much time did it take for you to actually understand and get to the bottom of the H9? I got it a few days back and it's pretty much option paralysis as of now lol. Any advice? Also, what MIDI controller would you recommend to go with the H9?

@mdask99

If you buy the max, all new features are free. To save money, you can buy a less featured one and buy just what you want. If you buy a 2nd pedal, all effects are available on both.

Great Vid Leon !, in my opinion the best stereo chorus ( and I mean without the actual modulation part ) image ever was the Rockman Stereo Chorus kzread.info/dash/bejne/dYh-sq-DnrTFkag.html, did you ever have the pleasure of trying one ?, I did, The Tricerachorus sounds to match it and beat it as well, look How many years and high tech it took for this to happen, special mention the Boss CE-20 firing on all burners was also mind blowing.
@LeonTodd

Ah the good old Rockman! Definitely an absolute classic, would love to find one of the rack units.
Not a huge fan of the layout and vibe of the H9. And a longtime Eventide user here. Have the H8000FW, the eclipse, and some factor pedals.... as well as all the plug-ins. I really don't know what it is... just the look, the layout of the app, the very basic form, the lower grade power supply.... it just doesn't do it for me. It doesnt have the vibe of any of the rack units which even the factor pedals had. (and yes I am aware of the fact that the H9 has all the factor sounds.). but it just doesnt have that Eventide nasa-level like vibe of past days. Maybe its just a psychological thing. The app just feels plastic and the need to purchase things for it is not helping either.
