My dad went to college with David Howard Thornton (Art) at montevallo while he was in education and was part of his fraternity, my dad didn’t know this until we saw the movie and he realized Art looked familiar, that was definitely an unexpected surprise!

These are all great tips if we're talking about a normal human stalker. But Art is immortal, can teleport, can survive (apparently) any injury, etc. If Art has marked you as prey, there's nothing you can do about it. Unless you're good friends with an Angel or something...

thats wrong... teleporting is wrong u cant prove that he got obviosly hurt and feel pain when getting attacked and he has no overwhelming strengh the only supernatural things he does is keeping his targets alive while torture them and survivng more then a normal human but not everything we see his body or face dosent start moving after he got his head cut off in end of second movie so yeah from this point the tips are working u just have get him before he gets u in a surprise attack

All fine and good, BUT, unfortunately, it's almost an unwinnable battle. Art is a supernatural being with super-abilities, such as heightened senses, teleportation, immortality, etc. Therefore, defeating him would be too hard of a job to handle for unprepared humans. Feels bad to become his target, I guess

I don't know. In both movies Art hasn't shown any ability to flat out beat a capable opponent hand to hand or using a melee weapon. Even in this film, when he faces possibly his most daunting opponents in the exterminator guys, he takes them out from behind and gets whooped whenever he ends up fighting them. When you fight well enough, you can actually stun and put Art down temporarily, it's just that killing him for good is not an option. The best you can do is survive

@@mayrithaps The resurrection is never instantaneous and usually the victim has enough time to run away, hide or prepare themselves for another encounter, find weapons and regroup. Throughout two movies Art's only considerable melee showings are against young women. That's not to say he couldn't kill a grown man, it's just that he rarely takes one out in a fight. Whenever he faces a grown man in good physical shape he usually utilizes advantages such as having grievously injured them and them trying to flee or killing them from behind while their guard is down. When his victims actually bring the fight back to him, Art usually struggles. That being said, when they pull their punches, they get smoked. The best strategy of dealing with Art is still to never encounter him or to treat him nice and play along with his antics, hope he won't get pissed at you or consider you rude. If he is trying to kill you, your best odds, based on both Terrifier movies, are still to fight back and give him hell. In a way, Art is like a Saw trap - you have to come at him without any restraint or fear for your own life and never stop coming at him, or you will definitely get butchered in some of the worst ways in modern cinema

Tara didn't do anything wrong. Personally the only thing I'd have done differently in the first place after spotting a stalker clown is I'd drive home while drunk... Illegal perhaps, but I'd rather get a fine than end up in the news as having disappeared. I'd make sure to drive as carefully and focused as possible, especially since the two girls seem only to be tipsy, and while that's bad enough I still would have taken that chance over staying around a weirdo like that.

@@rizkiramadhan9266 The scene where Art shows one of the girls the middle finger was funny, how he tries to kill her with this incredibly thin plastic and then wonders why it didn't work was funny, how she shouts at him to get up for like a minute instead of beating him or escaping was funny and overall the sometimes bad acting was also funny. It's obviously up to you if you find that funny but I really had to laugh qiete a few times. If you aren't to shocked by the gore this movie looks like a over the top parody of normal slasher movies and I really liked that

staying in a large group where there are alot of witnesses, stay away from secluded areas, and stick to very busy areas that have alot of lights and visibility which makes it harder to be singled out and ensure that all of my friends have enough charge on their phones to call for help and set a fall back point if things go bad and also message other friends and family members updating them on everything having available rides on stand by if anything goes wrong

That one part where Arrt saws a woman in half starting from between her legs was brutal. I mean, this character is brutal in general, but that one was particularly brutal. You usually don't see that kind of violence in movies, especially not towards women. This movie was not afraid to push the envelope. We've got to respect it. Edit: I meant to spell Art, not Arrt.

Yea, I’m thankful that movies/media aren’t too too harsh on women characters nowadays like they used to be cuz they rly used to go over the line with it, but sometimes nowadays they kinda stray too far away to the point where they never wanna involve female characters like they involve male characters especially in horrors, where ig they’re nervous to subject women to those kinds of situations cause of the stigma/stereotypes. But movies like this where they do push the envelope as u said, I do respect. ! Wish they included women in more crazy shit like this in movies lol (with of course the limit of not too much discrimination or “tort*re p*rn” a lot of movies subject women to😅). Hopefully these movies inspire it

Three rookie mistakes made by Terra in the parking lot at the hotel. One ALWAYS keep your eyes on the IT ripoff, two when you knife the clown, you don't just stab and run. You keep stabbing in the head the heart and jewels. Three stop yelling at the maintence worker and suck it up and walk over to them.

I find it crazy how much of this is actual advice on dealing with a real stalker before it goes into the fantastic horror.

I think the only way to ever really have Art not kill you or harm you is if you're just nice to him, I'm somehow convinced of this lol

Worth mentioning, with Art creeping them out and finding the slashed tire, it might be worth just driving on the flat. The main two reasons to avoid driving on flats is safety (but driving slow, just faster than on foot should be ok) and because the tire might be patched back up, however a slashed tire just can't be fixed.

I wonder how many horror movies would be cut short if the victims carried a firearm.

I dont understand how you give up so many situations to kill the clown. He was defeated at the ground so many times, and they just left instead of killing him.

She could've ended it and killed art all she had to do was drive the knife through his head after he stabbed him in the arm even if it was a mild cut or stab it still would've stunned him giving her the opportunity to finish it

At what point did they become his target? Like when the Tara first saw him, when don was taunting him or in the pizza restaurant

I think the moment he realized that Tara was also drunk and they wouldn't be able to leave the situation. He was ignoring them up until that moment

Girl your car doesn't have tires.

This movie and its sequel are nothing more than torture porn. I’m a big fan of practical effects and this series excels at it at the cost of everything else. The graphic practical effects are the the only reasons to watch these movies because it’s damn sure not the story. The most disappointing aspect of the films is that Art is the worst type of clown and that’s a mime.

When someone is acting suspicious. The best way to keep yourself safe is to keep tabs on them. The second the clown intentionally touched me in the pizza place without my consent, I'd consider it attempted assault and confirmed stalking. The police would be quickly notified soon after.

Anyone notice in one of the scenes in that garage with the cars, you can see 'ART' written on the door? It's half obscured by the person standing in front of it, but it says 'SALES xxxxx'ART'. Not sure what the full word would be, but it's a cool little detail.

I think art is the Id of Terrifier 2's female protagonist's father. That her father was on hard times, and was desperate enough to seek a magical cure, thus giving life to Art.

Dude art is insanely scary. He just enjoys what he's doing. Like with other slashers you could argue that they themselves are tortured by something. Art is just literally out there having the time of his life while going out of his way to torture people before killing them.
