Your assessment of him in the bathroom in the beginning requires a lot of hindsight, him possibly being delirious from waking up. So, the game was likely to start anyway. As for the first trap he could have just stuck his gun in the gears until he had a chance to look for something to cut the girls hair, though if nothing sharp was available the broken bathroom mirror you brought up is an option.

  • @dimasfahmi510

The whole point of all of his summary is how things could’ve been done better, and that includes using the benefit of hindsight. The only times they are forgiven in this summary is when it’s impossible to know (until the trap is triggered) even in the sharpest state of mind.

Great video Saw IV is often underrated but I liked it. I heard originally Riggs wife Tracy was supposed to been captured and put on the ice block trap but because Donnie Wahlberg decided to return they opted for Matthews to be in the trap instead. But she told her hubby he couldn't save everyone and he ignored her and got his squad buddy Matthews killed not knowing that opening that door under hour 1/2 would be the death of him. Rigg and Hoffman go way back too so that had to be one of the worst onscreen betrayals ever . I'm pretty sure if he wasn't suffering from that gunshot wound he would have given Hoffman the business like that abusive father at the elementary school.

Yes it was a betrayal not just Rigg but the entire police force go back and look at how Rigg reacted when Hoffman got out the chair. Also Eric Matthews never found out that Hoffman was the one who imprisoned him for 6 months and set him up in another game which resulted in Matthews & Rigg basically killing each other.

From all the Saw movies, this one is the less sensical of them all and is the one to starts the downfall of the saw franchise; they completely destroyed Kramer's philosophy of giving a chance to the victims to survive by sending the message of _"let them die"_ in several tests and even the victims reactions like the lady that had her hair pulled out from the machine were not logical at all. For me, only Jig Saw is way worse than this movie in how convoluted and even less sensical it is but that doesn't mean that Saw 4 is not too far from it. Thank God Saw X turned out to be a good release that rescued the franchise as all the movies from Saw 4 onward were pretty bad and lame with the exception of Saw 6.

I don’t know what exactly a gunshot would do to a heavy 1-2 ton gigantic ice block swinging at rapid speeds. One: Eric would miss the block. Two: The bullet might cause a crack in the ice, but wouldn’t smash it in a million pieces Three: there are 2 ice blocks; even if one of them would break, the other one would absolutely crack his neck or spine + not enough time to shoot them both in the matter of 1.5 seconds.

@DinoCrazy15 I don't know about you, and while I've certainly never been hit by one, I would imagine that a giant block of ice hitting me in the head would still do a lot of damage. And as someone else pointed out, even if he had successfully hit one of the blocks with the bullet, it probably wouldn't have completely shattered

Three major oversights 1. Even though his phone was broken he could have used literally any other phone in the city to call for backup 2. The rapist should have pushed the buttons at the same time 3. The woman should not have pulled the spikes through. She would have a better chance of surviving and there is no reason to kill her husband even if he is a POS.

Can we all agree that jigsaws message to rigg was really unclear and undiliberate, If I was rigg I would've been confused to wat jigsaw would've wanted me to do, or it would've been nice if jigsaw deliberately said "all u have to do is let the time run out in order to save eric Maythews.
