@@jsims1617 im not sure what your point is?? Arm wrestling is a spealist strength sport that he is dabbling in.
The most impressive thing is that Andrey doesnt even train powerlifting that much.
Im a bit late to this video, but after doing some research on Andrey, he's the strongest guy I've ever seen. Although he holds no "outright" records etc. He is world class in virtually any lifting/strength sport. The guy is 120kg body weight and can do 1 arm pull ups, +160kg pull ups, 270kg bench presses, and look like a bodybuilder at the same time. On top of that, the guy has limited resources available given his financial position in a Russian village. If Andrey had as much support as Larry, I honestly believe he would be significantly stronger than him; bear in mind Andrey is only like 23 years old as well, Larry is like 28 now, therefore we are yet to see a fraction of Andrey's prime. This is no disrespect at all to Larry; the guy is an absolute 1 in 100 million monster, but theres something about Andrey that makes him so special in the lifting scene. Perhaps its his versatility in all sports, but I really hope someone takes him to the west and gets his name out there.
@PeterListov
10 ай бұрын
A lot of people (me included) would love to see Andrey travelling to the West and featuring in Larry's videos. This is unlikely, however, as he lives and works in a closed town Sarov, one the Russian nuclear research centers. This means essentially that even as a Russian you cannot go visit him. Hence, most of the videos with other people are actually made in neighbouring towns and villages (or Moscow), at least 50-100 km from where he lives. On top of that, Andrey probably has some sort of security clearance as he works at a nuclear research facility (as a locksmith but still).
@ruslan_nurgaleev

It’s unlikely that anyone will be able to take it to the west. Even in Russia they cannot drag him out of his village. He refuses to sign contracts, refuses to go to famous bloggers in larger cities. Many bloggers in the Russian media space hate him for his lack of business sense, unwillingness to leave his village and realize his potential
@donegal7

@@ruslan_nurgaleev i feel like thats a bit of an arbitrary reason to hate someone though. I think its actually a testament/lesson in humility. Andrey is not the first freakshow out there who doesn't care about records and just wants to have fun; if hes documented, think of all the others like him who are undocumented and don't want the social media life. lesson is we should always stay humble, theres always a guy out there whos crazier.

This is exactly as I would have expected from these two elite level lifters - Larry would dominate powerlifting and Andre would dominate the calisthenics.
I will say Andrey’s curl is significantly better, not only due to what was said, but the grip he’s using is far more difficult.
Larry was not doing full pull ups, The other guy had a dip belt on and he was getting much higher.
In my humble opinion this world needs to see this collab
Can we all agree that Strengh in general is a very specific skill, you can be super strong and move alot of weight in certain lifts, but on others you will move less, even if people who are "weaker" than you will move alot more than you.

Let's go! Been wanting to see this one the most.
In Marine Corps boot camp I did 112 consecutive pull ups at 160lbs. The D.I. made me get off the bar so others could practice. Not a record because it was not during competition. I also did 130 shuttle crunches in 45 seconds. Mike Company 3022 Aug 1996 thru Nov 1996. Look at up. I was a beast at 160. No strength training or the like. Just sports.

what you mean by consecutive pull ups? consecutive to me means non stop, no hanging, if you could do 112 non stop you could do weighted with 200kg plus kilo! most ive seen is 50/60 reps non stop. Ive seen hanging which is incredible grip endurance strength but its still resting at the bottom of the rep. The record for that is ridiculous over 600, not seen the vid for that though but seen a guy do over 100, he was hanging from the bar for 10 mins! which is incredible grip strength but he's not doing them continous.

if Smaev had been abused by Tren, like Larry, he would have become a monster
Проведи сейчас сравнения...
Larry way stronger in static Strenght , 347 kg deadlift ,at lower bw, and after squat and bench (keep in mind) is way way way way more impressive than 306 x 3 with straps lmao . Bench was assisted and squat is INCOMPARABLE , almost 80 kg difference
I was hoping there'd be some video out there showing Larry's weighted chinup or pullup PR to compare Smaev's feats to, but I guess not.
@StrengthUniverse
Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately not
Larry's standard lifts are legendary, no question he wins here. However the dips and pullups form is quite bad by cali standards. Easy win there to Andrey. Also, for strength it the 10+ reps exercises are a weak metric. Andrey's max chin up is 160+ kg added weight. Larry would not be in the same league here. Conversely, Larry's max bench press, deadlift and overhead press are likely out of reach for Andrei for some time.
