500 for 12 is a stretch for me because of his arm length. His form on the smith machine was top notch however. I'd buy 500 for like 6-8 reps and a 1 rep max of 575-600 at his peak. I watched him lift guys with ease in his younger days in WCW, not totally out of the realm of possibility.

I saw the big show once and had no idea who he was. In the early 90s I was waiting in line at a club in Wichita called the Cowboy when another patron waiting in line began mouthing off and out of nowhere this huge giant bouncer confronted him, picked him up by his shirt, walked him out to the street, and sat him down. I couldn't believe what I saw. Still to this day 20+ years later I have never seen anyone so massive as the big show.

Without a doubt he was one of the strongest wrestlers, and maybe one of the strongest people, of all time. Mass moves mass, and he was beyond massive. He used to manhandle Kevin Nash, another 7 footer, like nothing. Not to mention, Big Show was extremely athletic, and could do a kip up and even a missile dropkick in his younger years. He could have been way more popular than he was. But without a doubt, he's still huge, literally and metaphorically.

Yeah The Big Show military pressing Kane in their 1999 match was one of the most amazing awe-inspiring things I have ever seen... No one has ever military pressed Kane other than The Big Show. Got to also give credit to Kane for the remarkable agility in assisting the Big Show for that move despite being a giant himself. That was a great match and displayed the Big Show's strength... The Big Show truly is one of the strongest men to have ever lived, dense hard bone structure and naturally big muscles... Then, at 17, I believe it was, he said he went to a doctor for something and that doctor found it. And, of course, they knew alot more about it than they did when Andre was alive and they stopped it or treated it or whatever they do to keep it from getting worse. And then there was the incident with the 6'6" guy that tried to start some shit with him in Georgia that he hit one time and broke his jaw. Lol. I'm glad that worked out well for him. Not even 'Zydrunus, Brian and Eddie combined' is a match for all his PRs. I don't think there will be another human ever, to have a more impressive résumé of lifts across so many diversed lifts/ events, across every single body part. There are two thoughts normally when someone says either the goat or the strongest man to ever live. People either look at the individual who had the highest peak or the one who has won the most. • @Nirsterkur

@@seanoconnor1188 You are spot on. The Strongest Man ever and the Greatest Strongman ever are two different distinctions. In my research also they are Thor and Z respectively, BUT the mix is also Thor (in my opinion). Let me tell you why: 1. Brian is better than Thor only in terms of longevity (number of years at top only/ Thor has 30 international wins and Brian 26, winning ratios 46% and 41% respectively), and in grip and yoke only (perhaps also Circus DB but it's debatable bothways). Prime Thor is stronger than Prime Brian in everything else. Note: I'm a firm believer that WSM is a namesake competition, and the number of WSM wins alone does not determine the accolades. If the lineup is world class, and if the events are challenging enough, a competition is a competition irrespective of who organizes it. 2. Z has a better eligibility for the mixed title more than Brian (Z is the most decorated and the 3rd statically strongest (following Thor and Ed) and Brian is the 4th most decorated and in my calculations is the 8th Statically Strongest). 3. Thor by the time he retired at the age of 31 had achieved more than both Z and B had, when they were 31 themselves.

Paul was (and still is) quite powerful, but he's never been a noted Strong Man, he works out regularly, especially these days, but he was never a dedicated full-time power trainer, much of his strength came from his size. From what I've heard his trip to OVW in 07 was mandated by McMahon, Paul had let his conditioning slide quite a lot and it was not only affecting his ring work but his general health, so McMahon sent him down to the "minor league" to give him more time to focus on getting back in shape, and when he came back he was about a hundred pounds lighter (did the same thing with Mark Henry). He climbed back up to about 480 over the years, then around the age of 44 he took to getting healthy again in a big way, citing a conversation with John Cena as the chief motivation for this, and dropped to under 400lbs with abs.
