Hey Loz, Thank you for making this video. This year myself I've lost 70lbs (238>168 at 5'11") and I found myself grinning from ear to ear this entire video because the process for me was exactly the same and you hit the nail on the head for every piece of advice. I had tried so many times in the past to make the change only to fail due to diving into a super restrictive lifestyle that was unsustainable for me. You are 100% correct about the key being to find a plan that is sustainable and focusing on progress vs perfection and being able to accept it is not an overnight change. And I hope those watching are able to take those words to heart and apply them. It takes time. It takes discipline. And it takes a lifestyle change that you can be consistent with and, most of all, enjoy. I usually don't comment on videos but I truly hope this video reaches as many people like us as it can, so I am.

What you said about changing your relationship with food really hits home for me. Its the thing I have found most difficult with in my journey from over 18 stone in 2019 with slow progress to where I am now at 13 stone. Some days as you said i eat way too much and hate myself for it while putting more food in my mouth. It's my constant struggle. It's strange to say but I'm glad other struggle too and it's not just me. You have done amazing and are a true inspiration. Thank you.

Good morning Loz. Happy New Year to you and Auntie Liz.. I follow and like your channel very much. I’ve commented before but not often. This video caused me to reach out. Thank you for posting it. Mentioning your struggles with food, your mental health, and your discipline and ability to make steady progress was inspiring. I think it’s great to see and hear people who are at the top of their sport express their vulnerabilities, and struggles. I think it inspires others, and can also help others make it through another day. I think many people believe that athletes (especially in the strength game) are invincible. They are human. Years ago I was a respectable armature bodybuilder and dabbled in powerlifting in the off season., Being a chubby child when I began training I lacked confidence, and self worth. Once I became respectable in my disciplines, I still struggled with self confidence. I fully understand what you spoke of regarding looking in the mirror. Anyway. I commend you for this video, (and ALL your great content. I wish you and Liz and your family continued success. I hope to meet you both one day when you are next in the states. Perhaps at the Rogue.

It's very brave you speaking about eating disorders in times of depression. I was 8kg down from my all time heaviest and had gained 25kg from 2020-2022. I'm now back up to that larger weight due to some depressive moments in my life. As you say it's comfort, it feels so good at the time but I'd look at the scale and be more depressed. So well done uncle Loz on your amazing accomplishment mate. Merry Christmas to you and your family ❤️

Well done Loz, that’s an awesome journey. Good on you. I was hoping for some more photos though! I’ve kinda done something opposite- used to be pretty good at running but physically weak and frail. Now I’m strength training and having to bulk up a bit, the running has seriously declined and it sucks. I want to live in an alternative universe in which I can fly up hills whilst being strong and robust.
