Would love to hear you and Auntie Liz discuss Masters athlete issues - seeing more 50+, could there be a 90+ one day (my goal in 45 yrs), what would that look like, dealing with the struggle of aging but wanting to stay strong & competitive, at some point do we have to give up being competitive in order to maintain longevity & mobility. Would love to hear your thoughts about your experience, and your thoughts on Mark Felix, Kristin Rhodes, Nick Best, and other Masters athletes. Big Loz! We practically eat the same breakfast so i felt magnanimous enough to drop a lazy diet tip - blend everything you put in the porridge into a shake, pour it over the oats then stir it up with a fork and leave it to soak in the fridge overnight! It turns into something resembling pudding and you can make a gang of them up at once but, use a fork instead of a spoon to stir - a fork makes it nice and light whilst a spoon seems to leave dry clumps within the mixture 👍

Loved seeing your easy mince and rice meal. I make a big chilli con carne every Sunday with 2kg of meat, kidney beans, tomatoes, spices. And split that into 10 meals for my lunches during the week. Every meal gets 200g of meat. I have been eating this 2 times a day at work for 5 years. It takes me 20 mins on a Sunday to make and I dont have to think about my lunch for the whole week.

I might try Mark Bell's carnivore protein, but I havent pulled the trigger yet.

Loz, I'm curious how you'll do long-term. My experience has been that I've had no problem losing weight and getting very lean. However, my problem is maintaining that for more than five years at a time. I get to my "ideal" shape and I can stay there for a few years - but multiple times something happens in life and then I realize I've gained 40-50lbs. I've done that a few times over the decades. I find consistency over decades to be the hardest thing - something I'm working on (since I'm fat again). I'm trying to get the right habits again so I can get fit and stay there as I enter my older years.

"but multiple times something happens in life and then I realize I've gained 40-50lbs." Bro, come on. I get that you have demanding phases, but you don't just put on 4-0-50 lbs magically overnight. Seems like you're a stress eater, but I know you'll bust out of it. Best of luck.
