Bill is a great storyteller and he would have stories for hours and hours. Here's hoping for a sequel! Also excellent that you managed to also get a live talk with him, works better than a video call.
Would have won way more than three titles if he wasn't banned back in the day! What a legend! :D

So true. None where as dominant and such raw strength back then. And he would have the record for most time winning for sure

Yeah, wish he wasn't notorious asshole who almost killed his teammate and verbally abused everyone around him, he could have more titles

He probably could have yeah, but it's his own fault they stopped inviting him. He was such a a**hole to officials, fellow competitors, and even fans. Not to mention that he was violent and dangerous and nearly killed a fellow competitor (OD Wilson) . It was a very good choice not having him around. "Four objects were carried simultaneously by teammates up a hill inside a castle and loaded onto a platform. The United States was disqualified in this event when Kazmaier attempted to block Magnusson from getting up the hill. As Kaz bumped into Magnusson, the Icelander lost control of the barrel he was carrying and it fell off a ledge, landing on O.D. Wilson and nearly killing him. He recovered and continued in the competition."

@@russwhaley2618 not condoning this event as I know exactly when you mean watched the footage not long ago, but Kaz was blocking the Icelandic team member as the previous Icelandic guy had tried blocking Kaz’s team mate, so Kaz effectively tried the same thing though more aggressively but ended up with dire almost fatal consequences.

@@jamesprynne1422 yup, two wrongs do not make a right. They're many other competitors that have said he was a jerk, and dangerous. It was his he wasn't around.
925 sqaut, 660 bench in the 80s, he was wayy ahead. 90% of strongmen dont have that number
This is absolute GOLD. Let Big Kaz talk long enough and he will talk about telekinesis if you let him. 🤣
Kaz is so interesting, could sit here and listen to that man for hours. One of the best interviews you have done 👍

totally agree and i like his voice... easy on the ears
You could take Bill Kazmaier from early eighties and with todays training he would be right up there, so far ahead of his time
Kaz coming up to my table at the 1999 Mr. Olympia and asking if he could sit down and eat with me was one of the coolest moments of my life. Such a great guy.

Very cool moment !!
Despite the poor tv coverage with your records peddled over to another. Despite all the set backs and the injuries we never knew about. You shone through. We all see you, Kaz. You may not have figured out how to move objects with you mind, but you certainly moved the future generations of Strongmen with your heart.
You know, one of the marks of a really good interviewer is the ability to let your subject talk, and to find their own space and rhythm. Nicely done. Very nicely done :)
Mr. Bill Kazmaier never got the credit he deserved especially here in the US. His story is an inspirational tale to say the least. Legendary.
Kaz just looked like he was chiselled out of stone and was so far ahead of the competition
This was so interesting, it was like hearing my grandpa talking about the good old days
A true gentleman, hero & legend.
I could listen to bill for days
I loved listening to Bill. I could listen to 10 more hours.

Yeah this could easily be a monthly thing and I would watch it!
Quite possibly the strongest man that's lived, relative to his time. Kaz would have upped his game for today.
Bill has had a hard and long life. He is fucking truly a bad ass
Bill is such a great speaker
Big kaz has so many stories you could do a 3hr interview and i would still watch it twice 👍
Sandow, Cyr, Saxon, Alexeyev... he literally named all of my favorite childhood strongmen that I read in a 1976 World Book of Records from my father

Really loved that light shone on the great strongmen of the past, if you haven't already you should read Arthur Saxon's book on strength and muscle building, you'll be amazed how accurate their techniques were over 100 years ago, perhaps in some ways even better! Really fun read :)

@@LambClone I will certainly look into it! I believe that many of the older techniques are far superior because they used primitive ropes and chains and everything was pure raw animal strength. No suits or enhancers.

Human strength. Raw human strength. We are our own category.
I really love the Rogue Invitational set up. So happy you are doing commentary.👍
That was absolutely awesome Loz! Made my day. Kaz is the reason I started lifting as a 13 year old in 1980 and subscribed to Powerlifting USA instead of Muscle & Fitness. Got a chance to meet Kaz at WSM in Bradenton. He couldn’t have been more gracious. Thanks so much for what you do!
Would love to see bill and loz interviewing people at strongman events together like eddie hall does now
That was the most engaging 76 minutes I've experienced in a while - Kaz is such an amazing athlete and has such a sharp mind! Had time permitted and the questions gone that way, it would have been worthwhile to hear Kaz recount the story of Pure Strength 1989 where he nearly caused O.D. Wilson's death. From the tape of the show, you can see Kaz's guilt and shame when the reporter asks him about it afterwards. If any broadcast moment showed the depth of Kaz's heart, it had to be then. There's no doubt that the Lord saved O.D.'s life in that moment and humbled Kaz more than anything or anyone else could. Yet... "[Kaz] waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined unto him, and heard his cry. He brought [Kaz] up out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set his feet upon a rock, and established his goings. And He had put a new song in Kaz's mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord." (Psalm 40:1-3) Well done, Kaz - and thank you and well done, Loz, for your kindness to the world by sharing these interviews!
My favorite interview so far. Loz and Liz bring the best every single time. Kaz is my all time favorite, I could listen to that dude for days.
Hell yeah lozzy lozbourne. Great interview with a great legend of strongman.
Please like this video. It transcends Strongman, and is a lesson of inspiration for others about "Life", and "Inner Strength" made flesh
Perfect video to watch while waiting between the events at Rogue
Fly with the eagles and condors stay away from chicken's and turkey's. Gr8 line from Bill the legend kazmaier. 💪👏
I smiled the whole hour and a bit of this interview. What a great interview! I don't care what anyone says about Bill's commentary at the shows, he's alright by me!
I really enjoyed this one, back in the day when I was a kid didn't like Kaz thought he was a big head. But he's my favorite strongman always find his stories interesting. The numbers he did nearly 40 years ago, 300kg bench. Thanks Loz.
This was everything I had hoped it would be, and more. An absolute legend 👏 thank you for bringing more of Kaz's story to light Uncle Loz. You're the man 👊
Great interview, wow, what a journey for Bill, one of the greatest ever 💪💥
Bill has to be the most humble man in existence
Such a great motivated. Kaz is a true legend a also shows how unfair life can be.
AWESOME interview. Think it's the best one I've ever found of Bill. I think he owes it to himself to spend some time intentionally reliving the highs.
I say it every time about Kaz, Dave Webster said he was the strongest at the time of (his) writing. Had he been competing now, I wouldn’t bet against him. Big thanks to big big men.
Now I can officially say Thanks for this big Loz!! I love Kaz!! I appreciate this! So happy hearing you at the Rogue invitational as well. Really refining your skills!!
Bill is the best ever by far! Your best interview ever. Thanks Loz
I think he’s right. It would be more interesting to go back in time, when the guys were just naturally strong from hard graft
I could listen to Kaz for hours, thank you Loz for a great interview, knowing when to jump in, and knowing when to let the man speak
Kaz, the WSM all WSMen want to be ! Loz what a great interviewing skill displayed, exceptional!
Thank you to both of you guys for getting together in a nice spot to do this talk. I would also like to thank both of you for choosing to be strong men with your lives. I've enjoyed following your playing days and your professional commentary after your careers were over immensely. Bravo gentlemen. Job well done!
What a man! What a past! What a legend! Amazing man 💪🏼
Imagine if Bill had all the benefits of nutrition and training so many have today? He would have put the ceiling on the limits of human performance. Inspiring to hear Bill quote scripture as something that helped him focus and find his strength.
Kaz was an absolute BEAST! Would love to have seen him vs today’s greats, especially Big Z, Brian, Matins. Much respect to Big Bill! 💪🏾
What an insightful and inspirational 76 minutes. Thanks Liz and Loz and of course Mr Kazmaier.
Bill is a great motivator and without a doubt, my favorite of all the strongmen from over the years! The video was an hour and 16 minutes, but it still felt like it was over way too soon. Hearing his words and the intelligence behind them, not to mention the spiritual side, blessed my soul! Thank you Bill and thank you Loz!
Good Upload Lizzy😃🙌 great timing
Been waiting for this😌
Thanks to all involved. Appreciate this one.
Kaz is my all time favorite followed by Mariusz and Brian Shaw. He's the one that got me interested in strongman years ago.
It's finally here, thank you for this Uncle Larry.
Can't get much better than this 💪
Great interview! Thanks for doing this!
