Bill is a great storyteller and he would have stories for hours and hours. Here's hoping for a sequel! Also excellent that you managed to also get a live talk with him, works better than a video call.

He probably could have yeah, but it's his own fault they stopped inviting him. He was such a a**hole to officials, fellow competitors, and even fans. Not to mention that he was violent and dangerous and nearly killed a fellow competitor (OD Wilson) . It was a very good choice not having him around. "Four objects were carried simultaneously by teammates up a hill inside a castle and loaded onto a platform. The United States was disqualified in this event when Kazmaier attempted to block Magnusson from getting up the hill. As Kaz bumped into Magnusson, the Icelander lost control of the barrel he was carrying and it fell off a ledge, landing on O.D. Wilson and nearly killing him. He recovered and continued in the competition."

@@russwhaley2618 not condoning this event as I know exactly when you mean watched the footage not long ago, but Kaz was blocking the Icelandic team member as the previous Icelandic guy had tried blocking Kaz’s team mate, so Kaz effectively tried the same thing though more aggressively but ended up with dire almost fatal consequences.

Despite the poor tv coverage with your records peddled over to another. Despite all the set backs and the injuries we never knew about. You shone through. We all see you, Kaz. You may not have figured out how to move objects with you mind, but you certainly moved the future generations of Strongmen with your heart.

Really loved that light shone on the great strongmen of the past, if you haven't already you should read Arthur Saxon's book on strength and muscle building, you'll be amazed how accurate their techniques were over 100 years ago, perhaps in some ways even better! Really fun read :)

That was the most engaging 76 minutes I've experienced in a while - Kaz is such an amazing athlete and has such a sharp mind! Had time permitted and the questions gone that way, it would have been worthwhile to hear Kaz recount the story of Pure Strength 1989 where he nearly caused O.D. Wilson's death. From the tape of the show, you can see Kaz's guilt and shame when the reporter asks him about it afterwards. If any broadcast moment showed the depth of Kaz's heart, it had to be then. There's no doubt that the Lord saved O.D.'s life in that moment and humbled Kaz more than anything or anyone else could. Yet... "[Kaz] waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined unto him, and heard his cry. He brought [Kaz] up out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set his feet upon a rock, and established his goings. And He had put a new song in Kaz's mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord." (Psalm 40:1-3) Well done, Kaz - and thank you and well done, Loz, for your kindness to the world by sharing these interviews!
