    Phil winning 5 events in a row in the final the year he won will forever go down as one of the most DOMINANT finals performance by an athlete EVER. What a beast of a man.

    @@williamkelly5689 actually also in 2007 , when mariusz lost Phil the year before . Before the atlas stones mariusz won WSM before the final event even happened .

    I was going to say this. My favourite final because he looks like he's done after the first 2 events, then just turns it on. What's more amazing is he did exactly the same in the heats that year. What a champ.

    Watching Mariusz' reactions to Phil's performance was great. He could not believe how well Phil did, especially on the car carry. Such an impressive performance.

    I feel like most athletes and viewers want to see more natural stones. It's just the most iconic thing for strength sport in general imo.historically man vs stone has something very special about it and I hope to see more of it in the future. A raw test of strength and creativity, with a lot of potential surprises in the results

    Wanted this interview for a while, other interviews I'd like to see and I'm sure others would: Andy Bolton Glenn Ross Darren Sadler Peter Bremner Dale, 3d strength Rob Frampton Dan Hipkiss Tom Hibbert Great channel Loz, been a god send in 2020 for all us stuck at home and I don't think you even realise how much of a positive impact this content has had in what's been a hard year.

    I loved that Hercules Hold moment. Absolute legend of the sport! Big Phil is the nicest and most genuine person and he seems like a good guy to be around.

    5 straight wins in the 06 finals to win the title. Such dominance. Never see that dominance again ever. Sure guys can win by a lot of points, but to win 5 straight finals events out of 7. Totally awesome. Cheers to you and Liz on your channel.

    I couldn't wait for this. One of best memorys.. Phil Fister winning WSM is one of them. I do BB but love Strongman and watching it too. Beating unbelievable competition too and bringing the title back to the USA after a long time.

    Nice hearing these stories about Brian Siders, he was always great fun to watch at the Arnolds. You had your strongmen powerhouses like Zydrunas and Vasyl, then someone like Brian would compete or Glenn Ross would press overhead with zero leg drive and turn the odd event into a spectacle. Brian probably would've made a great armwrestler too had he chosen too, I remember him being interviewed by Greg Valentino and Greg's hand just disappears into Brian's when they shake.

    I am still hero struck by Phil. 2006 was the first time in my life I got to see an American win WSM. His declaration in the heats during the Hercules Hold as awe inspiring, and he delivered. God Bless you Phil. 2006 still a personal favorite.

    Absolutely love and appreciate these talks with previous generations of strength athletes. You are the only one who gives these athletes form whom we all owe so much a platform. Would love to see the Gillingham brothers who have got to be one of the strongest families in history. Thanks again

    I've gotten much enjoyment watching his era, and Kaz', and Cleve, and Stefan, and Magnus, and Raimonds, and Mariusz, and Big Z, and Loz, and Brian, and Eddie, and so on, just a captivating sport that hasn't yet gotten it's due. The cost/prize ratio is ridiculously low

    Phil, you're a true legend of the sport. You're authentic, down-to-earth, highly intelligent/articulate, easy going and funny. People might have mistaken your confidence for arrogance back when you competed, but the truth is, you just believed in yourself, which unfortunately is a rare trait.     Awesome stuff Loz. The way this sport has grown over the years I think Phil Pfister coming out and being a part of the new generation stuff would be awesome even if its holding a mic and talking to folks. There really isn't enough coverage of the sport and bringing back the older Athletes would be awesome. Your voice and relevance is just important today as it was back when you were competing.

    Wow! What an awesome interview. As an American and a strongman fan since the late 70s, there was a long drought to endure of American winners of WSM. Phil seemed to be the catalyst for a resurgence of American wins. His 2006 win was incredible and came against a competitor in Marius who seemed unbeatable. Please have Kaz on and thanks for what you’re doing.
