I had to forward this to a buddy who is coming to town to see me this weekend. We were good buddies growing up and he moved away (when we were like 10-ish). Unfortunately that's a world of difference from a lot of other dude's relationship with their best friends and the guys in this skit. You guys actually make an effort to see each other and regularly keep in touch, so I would qualify your relationship and others like it as actual best friends, rather than the nonexistent pseudo acquaintances that most guys unfortunately all too often mistake for real connection
this was a whole movie, it was so nerve wrecking and thought provoking as well as heartfelt.

I have a friend who is like that to everyone else. He’s a great guy. He’s fun and we have some amazing conversations. But all of my other friends basically go “hey, isn’t [guy] weird? When you say he knows nothing, I bet it's about what they do for work, the names of their family members, where they work and where they live. These are not important details to men. These details are painful small talk that men quickly get tired of asking about, and hate being asked about. He knows everything about his friends that matter Have a good day

I didn't understand at first until I realize that my best friend and I mostly just talk about video games and some parts of his life. But I don't know a single member of his family's name. I don't know his girlfriend's name. I don't even think I've ever asked. So he's right on
This actually got me emotional because I just ran, last week, into my best friend since middle school who was also my roommate in college. We had dinner with his wife who was a girl I met maybe 1 in all my time living with him. We hadn't seen each other in 5 years but it didn't matter.
My best friend and I have known each other for 11 years. We have lived together for 3 years. We've discussed the possibility of a relationship together on multiple occasions. I've met his parents and grandparents. I moved halfway across the country to help support him after his ex left and he couldn't afford his own rent anymore. Just trying to help him get out of debt. I know next to nothing about him and that's just the way it is. Granted, he knows ~70% of my life story, but I also talk a LOT. As he puts it, "You're my best friend because you talk enough for the both of us. You let me be social without having to say a word."
This is hilarious on so many levels....

What is it about the 'details' in a friend's life that matter when you can see the soul right in their face?
Lmao BRO this is LIFE, I have only two friends in this life I'm 29 now but hadn't seen them since highschool back then we went through everything jail, fights, betrayals, poverty u name it. They welcomed me with open arms and love after all these years the other day , god bless this life!
Ngl this was so damn relatable. I also got a best friend whom I haven't spoken to for 4-ish years since highschool (I'm in college btw) and if I ever text him we both have a casual convo and then we go on radio silence again. I'm not even sure if he knows that he's my best friend 😂
Deadass how all my male friendships go, every bit of it to a T
What a rollercoaster - got some chills when the verdict dropped
He might have been a killer, but that man had a soul. When he saw the beauty of a true friendship, one that didn't need names or shared interests or even frequent meetings to sustain it he just had to speak up for that friendship. He had to defend it. Because you can take a mans life, but you can't break his friendship. The soul sucking lawyer could never understand.
One of my best friends is a guy who lives on the other side of the country... he swings through every few years and we hang out like no time has passed. Other than that, we don't talk. BFF for life.
When he said lawyers don't have souls that hit deep. Like did they never have one in the first place? Do they lose it along the way?
one of my best friends, we never do anything together but the rare time I see him, we will make eachother laugh nonstop for hours.
Can we appreciate how many costume changes this man went through just for reaction shots. 😂😂😂

I've got best friends I literally only see when I'm hammered at parties. Never see them anywhere else. Don't even know their names. But when I meet up with them at a party it's like we saw each other yesterday
This one was pure 100% gold.
So true. It's like a guy code, thing. Can nod to another man, stick up for them, never know who they are but still be almost friends. Then never see each other again. Even my friends, I hardly ever talk to, fr. Then when we do, we catch up on the last year or so, then go back to doing what we do every day, without talking again. We just understand that we are all going through the same stuff, and no one really cares. "Whatever" as these two guys put it.
As my grandfather always said: "There is nothing wrong with a little homoerotica between friends." 🎉
I have a buddy from college that moved like 4 states away and I just thought about him for the first time in about 6 months because of this video and I would still put him in the best friends category.
I love the pause right before the judge says “that man.” I guess he forgot the defendant’s name too 😂
