    When I met my man a year ago, he wasn’t making much and was financially unstable but right after we started to date, he changed his job to a better one , trying to pay his debts, and still looking to increase his income .. he is working on getting back to school .. he sat plans and goals that include us .. he never once said that we can’t move forward because of his finances ( with around 30k).. he proposed to me 7 months of our relationship .. it is not a 10 thousands dollar ring but I love it .. even his family said he became a new person.. btw I have never asked him once to change anything in himself for me .. he did it because he loves me .. Girls don’t waste your time chasing and waiting for someone who doesn’t want to be with you or trying hard to be with you

    I have been living with a man for 12yrs, we have 2 children with him. He hates to spend even the least amount of time with me except when we are in bed. He can't pay for house rent and always complain I place myself so high ie I take the kids to very expensive school, I should take a cheaper house if I want him to pay. I tried begging him to just pay a portion of the rent and I will pay the rest which he refused. The guy can't buy even food for the family and complain about everything I do not unless I pay for everything without asking him for anything. I have come to a point where I feel leaving him is the only best solution but I don't know what tell my kids.

    Steve is so right. You give a men 2 options - to treat you right, or leave. Everytime I set those boundaries to some guy I dated, that revealed their true intentions with me. Dear ladies, don't be afraid letting someone leave if it is perfectly right thing to do. As Steve said, some breakups are blessing. It is much healthier to stay single instead of being desperate and investing yourself in guys who are not good for you.

    No ma'am ur incorrect about nobody having time for that at that age. Women don't have time for that ...that's y'all's issue not ours. I would employ men to move at their own pace that biological clock isn't ticking in our heads.

  • @femininityoverfeminism212

    @femininityoverfeminism212

    4 жыл бұрын

    spazz 8469 that’s only partially true. You don’t have a biological clock, but most women in their 20s doesn’t want a substantial age gap. Most women want someone their age to perhaps 5 years older. If a man in his forties wants to date younger women he will find himself with a smaller dating pool. Furthermore, women should never allow themselves to be taken advantage of even if they’re in their early twenties or thirties. It’s not moral for a man to take multiple years from a women’s life without committing.

    My best friend from high school met this guy when she was 24, she spent not 5, not 10 years, but 18 years in love with this guy who never settled down on anything..finally after all those wasted years she moved on continued living her life, working hard, and one day she met a new guy (momma's boy) she spent 5 years dating this unemployed careless guy, she used to pay anytime they went out and finally one day she called me to tell me the good news: the guy finally proposed.. she paid for almost everything for her wedding reception, but she looked so happy at her wedding day that I felt little guilty for being so harsh sometimes about the guy, but only after 6 or 7 months into her marriage the mom's guy kicked her out of the house ( yeap the guy took her to live at his mom's house, with Mom included), the guy continue living with mommy and never tried to go after my friend and live as a couple in their own place. Long story short: she's been waiting on this dude to settle down for a total of 15 years by now...she is 50 years old now and she wasted years and years of her life on men who now are happy married or dating someone else. LADIES believe me this is a real life story.. don't waste time on a man who doesn't wants to commit believe me doesn't worth it. Don't waste your time because that time will never ever came back...

    PREACH! He's speaking truth !!!!! 6 years in, 37 years old and still waiting to be financially stable, not into titles... smh A man claims what is his! No matter if he's broke! If he sees you as a wife material, he will say to the all world you are HIS! Women deserve so much better than some guys like this... I put an ultimatum to an ex boyfriend, I was afraid of doing this because I knew, deep inside, that our relationship will be over. He ran away. He got a new girlfriend the next week. He broke up with her at some point. He tried to get in touch with me less than a year after we broke up. But the thing is, I was so over him. I cried a lot, prayed a lot, and after all this time, I was happy that the universe got rid of this guy from my life. I was working on myself, on my body, on my mental health, on my attitude of gratitude, on my work goals, and so on. Everything happens for a reason. Life doesn't happen to you but for you.

    My husband was 35 yo when we met with low income. But somehow he manage to purchase a house & decent car. That earn my respect when he proposed again in our 10th date. I always have short relationships. 6 months top. Because I’m not affraid to cut a guy who show incompatibility or red flags. People said that’s my red flag. But I’m married for 14 years now and gone through hell & back together. We’re not perfect, but we still dating 😁 The key is commitment. It’s not have to be about your starting point or current condition. Don’t be afraid to cut someone when they not compatible or show future.

    6 years and he can't even call you his girl? 🙄 Sis, miss me with all that. She is way too beautiful to be having some 37 year old boy who can't even call her his girl after nearly a decade. That's insanity. There are plenty of guys who'd be willing to call her their girl after a month or so of dating.

    Jump on to the next one and then collect the bag before jumping on the next one until you can't find anymore good men Girl, get what you deserve and everything owed to you, for real, LOL.

    It's because you think being the same girl would help you attrackt different kinds of men, when in reality you get the same guy in a different skin. Don't ever blame someone else for something in your life you have control over.

    Yeah, it shouldn't take 6 years to figure out. After a couple of years of nothing she should have hit the door. He's a joke for stringing her along. But she has to take some responsibility as well. Six years is a long time.

    I know Steve is making light of the issue but that is an important principle in growth, you've got to get rid of the old to make room for the new - it work for clothes, cars and spouses.
