The moment I understood that I never lacked a father because my Heavenly Father came through EVERYTIME I understood that i lacked nothing. Of course I wanted my actual dad to get it together but I was 28 years old when I put that together and I'm so thankful for that. Jesus is so good! 🙌🏾

That's exactly what ended up getting me to take my eldest to leave my ex husband. I stayed because I thought it was what was best for him. One day I looked at him and realized he was going to think this is how a relationship should be and how he should treat a future partner in life. I decided that was it then.

I met my dad as a teenager and we had some good time together then he disappeared shortly after. When I was in my late 20s (unmarried ), I started yearning for him and I had relocated to another country and didn't know how to get hold of him. I was very sad about it and there's this one day when I was crying and praying and got in a foetal position on the floor crying. A gentleman I knew called me to their family home and told me that as he was praying, he saw me while praying and narrated the foetal position and he said God told him to tell me that He (God) was my father. Since then, I believed that and I've never looked back. I started my healing journey and I've been very okay without my dad in my life and have never desired even to look for him. That's almost 20 years ago.

Message to Stormy: Some things you have to accept in life. Like, who gave birth to you, and who raised you. Who abused you. You don’t have to accept the abuse, but you must acknowledge it happened, to heal. And look at who you believe to be responsible. Sometimes it's not the people around who are responsible. They are simply picking up the pieces. Trying to cover the abuser. And if they are doing that, then, they are to blame as well. •But the main thing I want to tell you is that you are beautiful. And I know you know that. Pimples, or weight, or hair, have nothing to do with the woman you become. The choices you make as a woman are what define you in your lifestyle. •You can choose to be like the women you’ve seen. Or you can choose to be something else. And whatever you choose, its okay. It's your life. •And by now you know that the choices you make, also come with repercussions. So keep that in mind. •One thing I learned, early on, about myself, stormy, is that I didn’t like confinement, bail, or vicious cycles of domestic problems. •So every decision I make in my life keeps me free from those things. Because for me, those are the things that a lady should not have to endure. •As far as you having a failed marriage, or a bad marriage. Stop trying to define it. It just didn’t work. Be okay with that answer. Think like a woman, and stop keeping Tally of how many times you have to restart. •One thing I have found in life is that everyday is a new and fresh start, if you are blessed. And if starting over brings you down, you will be down all your life. Just ask the artist around you. The only reason they are “famous” is because they are always making adjustments and restarting. •And in relationships, it doesn’t seem that, is what is going on. People are restarting. But it is. Either you restart in your love, on a daily basis, with the same person, or you realize why you need to remove yourself, and start over with another. •So starting over can't be the issue. Because starting over is a part of life. Not a part of your history that makes you a “bad person”, “Negligent person”, or “irresponsible”. •Starting over sometimes, means you are healthy. It means you saw danger, and you averted it. You loved yourself, you moved to a healthier place in life. How can managing your health be bad? •The thing is you just don’t want to end wrong, or start wrong. You never want to damage another on your way out. Or you're coming in. •But you always want to make sure your life, is what you want it to be. But make a rule never to sacrifice the health, safety, or peace of another to achieve that. •Dog or be dogged, should never be the mentality of a lady. So don’t let it be your mentality. Dress like you want. Wash like you want. Sex like you want. Eat like you want. Work like you want. House like you want. But remember each choice you make, has some level of consequence that comes with it. •Decide who you are, and become the best you you can be. There is no right or wrong answer, unless you have a moral book, judging you, and holding you accountable to a standard, you have chosen for yourself. •And one more thing, trying to understand the line by line, of why it didn’t work, is okay. But thinking that using the changed answer on another man, won't. So understand it, but don’t obsess. Usually when you see one roach, there are ten thousand behind it, hiding. So one problem, is not just one problem. It’s a series of issues, that are hidden, in both of you.

At this point in my life, I'm where you're at Steve. I have had about 3 "adult" conversation with my father to try to figure out 'WHY'. I have a pretty clear perspective of the type of man that he is and I have decided that in this chapter of my life I do not require communication with him. This does not make me any less of a person. I will be 30 years old in a few months. I am healthy, joyful, educated, and thriving while living on my own in LA. I can attribute much of my success to my diligent mom, my grandparents and my Heavenly Father. I am more than enough. 💜

Man this was therapeutic! And also when she said '5' that was an IMMEDIATE response. She didn't waste no time saying that, which is a pretty good indication (and her friend also telling her) that she needs to leave him. I have daddy issues myself and also come from a very broken home. Your kids can definitely tell when you're unhappy. You're not doing them a favor by keeping a clearly toxic and dysfunctional family dynamic together. Society's idea is to raise you kids with both parents, stay married and live happily ever after..but you're not happy. And if you're not happy, deep down, your kids aren't either. So what's the point? You're NEVER alone in this life and like Steve said, you ALWAYS have God. Do what you need to do to be happy because when you're truly happy and at peace, your kids will be too ❤️

I love you so much because my mother also experienced the same thing. One thing I will say is if it cost your peace then is expensive. I don't know where you are and your economical standard there yet if you put your trust in God and pray, make your mind that you are going to make it on your own without any man you can do it. It will not be easy sis yet you will conquer. My mother was stack in a toxic marriage with my father and we where even three siblings. She worked her ass off to make us who we are. Now she is the most happiest lady in the world to make that decision to take up a father and a mother role. Sis you can do it without him.Ask yourself, what can I do if I am not afraid. Pray and ask God for strength and guidance and you will be lead because of the kids. Hugs and kisses.

I love how down to earth Steve is. He is no psychologist but he just makes sense and especially with this, he is able to offer a male perspective. I no longer talk with my dad and my two older sisters and two younger brothers were raised by our mother after she and my father divorced when I was nine. It still amazes me to see the differences between me and my sisters with how we turned out. My oldest sister really held onto the faith we were raised in, living by the bible as much as she could and she is still together with her very first boyfriend. The second sister was the complete opposite. She was that very insecure type who would attract jerks who'd only go for the booty call and no commitment. Seriously, all of them were just plain creepy and give me those stares when she would bring them home (after all, I was basically a six year younger and skinnier version than my sister). She ended up married to the last jerk and now she is in the midst of a huge divorce where the guy has even threatened harming their kids if she won't come back to him. I was more left in between. I went out more than my oldest sister, but I did not date every guy that approached me like my other sister. My mother always taught me to stand up for myself if a guy did anything I did not want or like and this was something I emitted. If a guy bothered me I gave him one fair warning and if he wouldn't stop I'd punch him in the face. Simple as that. Before my now husband I have had 3 boyfriends and only the last of those was more serious (the other two were just me and them figuring out the definision of a relationship and simply not being compatible). I never put up with any jerk-behaviors from guys and all of the men I know among my husband and I's mutual friends are extremely respectful and kind.

Proud2310vlogs, Sis you are still young and have so many prime years of your life to heal little by little with God and therapy(Christian therapist exist if you prefer.) I think eventually in time you will like dating the opposite sex again once you really, REALLY(yeah I said it twice) enough of the ins and outs of how they operate. I only wished I could be 22 again to learn these hard lessons due to not setting spiritual, emotional and sexual boundaries(just to make him love me) with my past situationships that you're leaning much younger instead of many years older like me having to play speedy Gonzales to catch up.

You must work on yourself before jumping into another relationship. Date yourself, understand your deep rooted issues, discover yourself and become self aware. This was the best thing I could have ever learned. My biological father is a narc and he lived a double life between my mother as his now wife for many years. I longed for my fathers love and the moment I opened up to it, he stole from me and our last conversation he hung up on me. I cried, but my personal relationship with my father in heaven kept me through this. Had that happened before my deliverance I would have never been the same. Here I am today with an amazing husband who genuinely loves me and the 3 children I came with. I love me! I am love! I produce what I have not been given. I don't need a man, my man is a bonus too who I already am! I wrote a book called releasing the enemy from within! Release ladies!!!!!💪🏾🥰❤️🙌🏽

U can have the best man in the world & tragedy strikes. Then u have to be able to stand on your own 2 feet, provide for your children & teach them by example. God had a plan for your life & I think it was so rough in the beginning to strengthen you and give you wisdom to teach all of us. Bless u sir & ur family. I wish u many more years of health and the desire to keep teaching w/o preaching. I believe that that is the style that attract so many in your audience and take your advice to heart. I thank you for all u have instilled in me. Kind regards, Ani
