I don't beleive this. You might have depression, but every day is not a bad day. You don't feel in the dumps every day, and you don't hate life every day. Some days are good days, some days people make you happy, they make you smile, and you can have a good time with them. That is Joy. You might have depression, but you can also have joy. It all depends on your frame of mind and what you are thinking. Change the way you think. REPEAT THAT!

Steve is my dad not blood but this man's words have gave me a path in life that no father has in my life . I never met him but I as a 50 year old man has cried more listening to his words .I pray to God to meet this man I call a father and a friend I never met . I would cry like a baby . Thank you father for your heart and words you supply all the people that are your family. Love you very much .

You've got that right CD. Current culture has kicked men to the curb. I has slurred, defamed, disowned and denigrated us. Too many women are of the notion that they can do it all as a single parent. They can't. They are women, not men. Children need and want a father in their lives. This vid is a great service to society and men. Thank you Steve.

My brothers and I all grew up with a mom and dad but we were a dysfunctional family. Domestic violence was a common thing in the house. Dad was physically and verbally abusive to all of us. He's a narcissist. Nobody dared to oppose him because he's got guns (He's in the military). Then one day our dad finally left us, mom had to raise us all by herself. She worked hard day and night so she can put food on the table and send us all to school. There were times we couldn't even go to school because we couldn't afford the bus fare. It was really tough but all the pain and the struggles didn't stop us from reaching our dreams. My mom was our solid rock and if it weren't because of her, we won't be successful professionals today. Now, she deserves all the love and support in her old age. As for my brothers, despite the childhood trauma caused by our abusive dad, they still managed to work on themselves and be the kind of man they are right now. So proud of them. ♥ Never ever let your bad experiences ruin your dreams. Use it as your motivation. 💪

It is the egg and sperm that miraculously creates another human being how then can we be talking about single parent? He's my baby's father but he's not my husband, she's my baby's mother but she is not my wife. This is the major problem as it relates to the issue of relationships too many persons are not counting the cost, and that moment of pleasure becomes a lifetime of pain and regret.

My husband passed away when my son was 6 (he's the baby) and he missed all that. It hit him hard as a teenager well starting at 12. Stayed in trouble. I was so scared for him the stuff he was doing. He's not 19 now and I'm so incredibly proud of him. He's a good father, goes to school and works. He completely cut all the bad stuff. He learned the power of trusting prayer.

My mom and dad had a pact: he went and played baseball on Friday nights...and on Sunday he had to get up get us out of the house by 8(three girls) we always went for a ride on the merry go roind wentbto parks went to fishbor to the beach in San Diego. It was a perfect arrangement..my mom got to go to a matenee by herswlf in the after noon. The lady who lived accross from us always made coffe and looked out her kitchen window to see my dad with us. She said when he dies...thats what she pictured....years later many people have moved in and out of our house bit she still lives there. She still makes her coffee..and sees him getting us in the car.

@@kardon4996 very true,I stopped caring, why he wasn't around and what not,I refused the turn out of my life to be mediocre, because some human wasn't man enough,I forgave him, Forged on and became who I wanted by the Grace of God,I had a father figure, who raised me but lost my mom at a young age, that's who I miss the most.

Seeing you help that young man you can just see how happy his mama was. ❤️ That's what life is all about helping others whenever you can & to see a group of guys come together this way is awesome. 💙

This was a great show. Steve said, paraphrasing, "If your dad was not in your life or no good, be the opposite of him".

Like anyone else talking SENSE, Steve Harvey leads well (as he always has) and emphasizes the critical NEED for fathers. God bless him for being a guiding light here!! Drives me nuts when politicians ignore the critical importance of the fathers in the community and act as if some PROGRAM or MONEY, etc. will replace the dads. While those things are intended to help, truth is, they're nothing better than a band-aid. NOTHING replaces the dads; the men in the community. So when your politicians aren't discussing that, learn to ignore them. They're only looking out for themselves.
