I know right. I never posted a pic of me and a boy on social media n I'm almost 28. N I don't post anything on social media that much. I only like have 18 friends (I had more but I deleted mad ppl b.c I got stalked). I didn't even post my new job that I start next week Monday. I only use social media (fb) for news, writing experiences and inspiration or looking for inspirations, funny memes n talking to ppl who r long distance from me. (Ex: my sister's fiance). I just recently bought my first car. I didn't even post that. Like call me not text me or see me in person to know how I'm doing. Social media should only be acceptable if you long distance. Other than that it's not that deep.

For all the people who say that not posting about your relationship is better, or that your private life is better kept private. Hate to break it to you, but social media is usually used to share pictures with friends and family and often about the basic emotions of our lives. If you post about your family and friends and even aquaintences, or coworks, yet leave your other half out, that's just weird. Unless you don't use social media at all, or you never share pictures of yourself, or friends, then fine.

I digress. Social media isn’t where my family & friends are. They know where to find me for updates, by picking their phone and calling just like I call them. I have never posted my personal life on SM and my life is richer for it. Most people live fake lives on social media and others get depressed watching that fake life or trying to keep up with that fake life.

The problem I have with this is that everyone is caught up in the all or nothing approach. You don’t have to post/share everything, but nothing at all is suspect. There is a big difference between privacy and secrecy. If you can’t show your partner off to your friends, he/she can’t appear or be heard in any voice/video you share with friends, and you avoid posting anything about/with them but you share most other stuff on social media, you are being disrespectful to your partner. If you allow them to invest their time/energy in your happiness, but you can’t share a small slice of pride with your friends about that person, you’re not treating him/her with the respect they deserve.

That’s smart. I was in a relationship where neither me or my boyfriend was that active on social media so we didn’t post each other and sometimes it would make me feel insecure like why don’t we do that like other couples, but now I’m glad that we didn’t because people break up all the time. Now i’d rather wait until a man becomes my husband to share him publicly to the world Ike that.

@@bharris4517 on this one is a tough one because these are your wishes. I could totally understand when you tell people"no kids" in your wedding (because the $$ obviously is more per plate even though they r kids) but you are talking about pictures in social media. I would say let them just because they are also sharing your happiness with you and they are celebrating and feel proud to share your beautiful event with their friends and family (with the word) let that beautiful day be beautiful in whatever it may be. What is more important is for you to enjoy and not stress about stuff you can't control. Just enjoy the process. Probably people will (highly think so) that they will take pictures and post.. why not give in and get a photo booth where they can take silly and cute pictures of them! Or have disposable cameras in every table so guests can take pictures of you guys and them and after give them to you so you can have memories from different angles in your wedding day! Just some ideas,"If you can't beat them, join them!" 🤷🏽‍♀️ After that... No more social media lol 👍☺️😋

Steve didnt want to further embarrass anyone on camera but that 'pretty good' vs 'great' and that involuntary 'I love him but'.... Yoooo. Maybe he's just not used to her kind of stance.... Her 'a year and some change'...? 'Some change'?! I think she is pulling a him and he is bemused lol. Its also plausible that should she match his enthusiasm he would become a detached as she presently is.

RoyalMasterpiece that’s the problem with young people. They need too much external validation. I can understand he might find it odd that she won’t post him; but to be bothered by it is nothing but ego and insecurity.

If she’s posted her previous relationships on social media, but not her relationship with you, that may be reason for concern. However, if there were problems or backlash from posting pics and information from previous relationships and she wants to avoid a repeat, that’s understandable. Not everyone needs to be in your business.

How can you not like this man

For him to even come on national television and talk about this is not good because he’s feels insecure and something in his gut is telling him something else

He doesn't need to mark his territory, if she can respect him and herself. He shouldn't be worried about being posted on her page. My wife and I aren't on social media, we just look at KZread for videos and news. Facebook is to negative and competitive, "F" it. Valentine's Day will be my 14 year proposal date to her.
