On the first year of dating, my husband lost his job and got into a depression after being unable to get re-employed. I supported him emotionally and financially for almost a year while he struggle in getting his licence as a registered dialysis nurse (career change). He eventually passed and got a job. Then I had to go back to school later on and he supported me. Now, we both have good paying jobs. Be patient with each other. Building life together does not happen overnight.

Both have to be committed to the marriage for his to work. Much respect that you both were able to support each other. I married too young didn't know myself or may husband. I didn't even know he has a pretty severe disability undiagnosed he wasn't able to read and comprehend what he was trying to read. He needed to learn NFPA codes in order to keep his job and gain his certifications. I sat reading every code that was required reading ao boring 14 hours of non stop reading codes into a tape recorder so he could listen in his truck while driving to calls. He passed his test first try. I guess he also sold the tapes to friends so they could pass the tests too. Once his carers took off he began cheating feeling like this options were open.

The value of expert mentorship cannot be overstated. Without proper mentoring, people tend to exit the market too soon after losing money. She decided to study, so I paid for that as well. Now she just started working, and even thought she's no making tons a money, she receives a rent allowance from her job to cover rent as a tax-free money deal. She asked me for the rental agreement we have so she could prove she was paying rent to access the benefit. This money gets deposited directly to her bank account. I honestly thought she was going to pay for the rent, now that I am struggling a bit with work. After she asked for the document, she said she was going to pay half of the rent only. I still pay for all bills, groceries and all else. 😂

Been married twice. 15 years first one 10 the second. Always made good money, first wife did work but said it was because she wanted to. I didn't want her to but eventually gave in. She eventually 'met someone' on the job and split with him leaving me with our son to care for. Seven years later I met another woman who was a bit younger but never married and no kids. She never had to work and avoided it like plague. About 8-9 years in SHE 'met someone' online on the computer and left to run off with that guy. Both their relationships crashed after and I got the I'm so sorry phone calls but I had moved on. Doubt I'll re-marry. But after all of it I have this observation to share: A woman is like a passenger on a ship (the man) on the deep ocean. She may jump onto another passing ship but she will rarely to never jump off in the middle of the ocean.

Wow, Sorry to hear that. My husband and I are traditional people. Old school of the sort. I'm a homemaker and gave up nursing to care, nurture, and support my husband and our children. It has its UPS and downs. One thing I can say whatever money I brought in was "Ours" not mine. I guess some modern women do not understand what it means to let a man be a man, and women need to be women. Smh. I don't know. I pray you will meet a woman who is very very different from the last two.

@@ladymarrero617 Thank you for that. I thought my first wife and I (15 years) were the old school type too. In those days (early 80's) everyone we knew was a two paycheck family. Like I said though I did not want her to work I wanted the thing I grew up with, guy goes to work woman takes care of the house and kids. But about 2 years in she started saying she was bored. And after her kinda beating on me like that a few months I gave in. She had a standing offer of a job since we married as a secretary. So she went. BTW whatever we made was always "our' money. I always brought my check home and gave it to her and I understood MY check went first to pay the bills. She held the checkbook and I just got one when I needed it. We had a son at the three year mark but by the time she'd been working 8-9 years I started hearing the opposite: I'm tired, I don't want to get up at 6 am etc. So I began to get things set up so she could just come home. a year or so later her side squeeze on that job got fired. he was just a dolt that worked on a loading dock. I was a deputy sheriff at this point and came home from night shift and half the house was gone. Couldn't live without him she said. I had never failed, never did her wrong, did not drink smoke or run around and never went to bars and stuff. Always just came home. Took me 7 years to meet another but it crashed because of the internet. One thing I noticed both of them worried themselves sick about what they were afraid I was doing the first five years or so. By the time they figured out I really wasn't up to anything that's when they started going wrong. Thanks for your thoughts but I don't think I can do all that again. Good luck to yours. When Marriage works it's the greatest thing on earth.

@@loveoneanother133 Yeah, they were both gorgeous. Ever hear of the old Dr. Hook song "When you're in love with a Beautiful woman"? Well the axiom is true. You have to watch everyone else because they are constantly getting hit on from the outside. If it goes on long enough I think they wonder if something is better elsewhere. The first one, I NEVER thought she'd do such a thing. The second grew up about 17 years after me so she came from the more current generation and I have to say they are freer than the ones I grew up with. I guess it was inevitable. Not a shrink but I think a lot of women have this internal clock that tells them they have like from 18-33 or so to sell to the highest bidder. And even if the other offer is not necessarily better by 28-29 they start to think is this all there is? And jump. All I know is I never abused, hurt or cheated on either. All I ever wanted was to be happily married. I loved being married. When it works its a gift from God. Thank you for your comment.

I think many times men absolutely do lash out when they are struggling financially and that absolutely can be the reason moreso than the finances for why they leave. But some women absolutely leave a man because of the financial situation. My father dated my stepmom for over 2 years before they got married. After 6 months of dating, the company she worked for folded and she struggled to find work again. My father helped her pay her bills but after a couple months, the money just wasn't there. Shed gone through her savings and my father was a single dad with 3 kids to take care of. So when she got an eviction notice, he was like you know what, why don't you move in? The kids love you, I love you and it'd be nice to have a woman in the house again not just for me but my kids, my daughter especially. So she moved in and for the next year, my dad provided for all of us while she struggled to find work. She got a couple jobs that didn't last very long because they either were too many hours for too little pay or, one time, her boss was an A-hole. But eventually, she landed a fantastic job with a great company. They ended up getting married shortly after in a beach destination wedding that my father paid for, not only for all of us and the wedding costs, but he also paid for several of her family members and friends who could not afford the trip. Which, cool, if you have a destination wedding then you should be willing to pay for a couple rooms and travel for some of your close relatives that are tight on money. But she was the one that wanted this wedding and he was happy to do this. Well, they are married for 6 years and everything is great. And then my dad got sick and it disabled him to where he couldn't work like he used to. By this point, my stepmother was the second highest boss in her company right under the owner. Money wasn't an issue, they were able to handle it. He tried to continue working full time but he suffered a severe relapse and that was it. He started applying for disability but that takes a long time, especially for a man in his mid 40s. So all of the sudden, she was the only person working and making money. Well, long story short, she got more and more stingy, she tried to refuse to have a normal Christmas even though they could easily afford it so my dad went and got himself a job just so he could give us kids a normal Christmas, she started staying out at bars all night and eventually, she left. And no, my father was not snapping at her, he actually started doing all the housework, the yardwork, took care of everything to where all she had to do was work, come home and eat a hot meal ready for her on the table every night. But when she left, she had the nerve to suggest my father was faking the severity of his disability (the man had only 55% lung function) and taking advantage of HER...I love her still, she was the woman who helped raise me from the time I was 8 til I was 18. But that really changed everybody's relationship with, and opinion of, her except for maybe her father and the few people she could convince that she wasnt the problem. She even tried to take my father's house that he bought with his dead wife (my mother), took half of everything in the house when much of it was actually my mother's stuff and make no mistake, she didn't pay a single mortgage payment until the last few months of their relationship and certainly didn't pay for nothing except her own vehicle. My father died about 10 years after their divorce and it was hard for me to forgive her. But I have seen firsthand men that snap on women when they aren't the breadwinner so I know this isn't always the case.

People in general are sympathetic and patient with the ones they love. In case of betrayal due to finance issues, it could be due to lack of love. Also, financial stability is something that attracts female instincts, just like how beauty attracts male. So people acting on their instincts and not being patient would end up betraying the ones they love or once loved.

Love is just a Medieval concept that now only children get hooked on, as mythical as Santa Claus. But women continue to either truely believe in it (they never emotionally grow up) or they use it as entrapment. All healthy, mature relationships are built as a civil partnership - there is no place for 'love'. Respect, yes, love, no.

'We need to approve of what you are doing' 71%! wow. since when did being someones girlfriend turn into being someones mother lol. I can never imagine a man asking me what I'm doing and telling me to prove it with a photo or a quick FaceTime, how can you actually open your mouth to ask that lol. And to the whole over 50% say when a man's financial busted he lashes out at us that's why we run away. I don't agree with that. As my dad would say 'a woman's loyalty is tested when a man has nothing. A man's loyalty is tested when he has everything'. Great food for thought in this video though x

Thank you Mr Fierce :-) and in response to your statement i can say that the media doesn't help. It always tends to portray the woman that was there when the man had nothing as the first to go when the money comes. Which is indirectly telling women not to waste time investing in men who are up and coming because your loyalty will never be rewarded, which is a shame as that's not always the case.

I asked her about this new personality she's been displaying bc it's fn weird. Where's the person she showed me before. That says I'M 100% REAL, THIS IS MEEE, WHAT U SEE IS WHAT U GET ...where they at.. She says " in don't care about that, that was then this is now, I'm not that person" from the horses mouth, they invented a whole person to get my attention and to retain it..pathetic and sad.

Really puts things into perspective. We 'lash out' not because you're willing to financially support us,but because you're not giving us the opportunity to try and figure something out for ourselves. Men don't do well with taking handouts without earning what we got. That's just how we're made.

Half of them are lying through there teeth on this. They want to know if there man is cheating cause of the type of friends they may have or individuals they hang out with. And for financies, if the man had money in the beginning to provide and all of a sudden a hame changer habppens and he losses, if not all, half of his income, they tend to start drifting cause they were use to that lifestyle and only think of that. Now I'm not saying all women are like that but you have a good number that are and it is shameful.

In the end everything we both worked hard for has rewarded us greatly and now we are financially stable and connected like one. She decided to be a stay home mom and a provide for my family, not one complaint.. I know if I fall she will be beside me and pick me up as I will do the same for her.

I got laid off nine days before my wedding date, and when I told my then-fiancee and asked her what she wanted to do it was, "I'm taking you to Vegas for our honeymoon, so you can go to The Strip and see the old mobster casinos." That was 14 years ago. If she'd run, I'd have understood. She didn't. I won't soon forget that.
