I always thought that cheating is a sign that he doesn't give a damn about her anymore. If a man is immature weak and selfish surely the woman stupid enough to form a relationship with such a man must have been aware of all these flaws beforehand and chose to bond with him regardless.

If someone has a pattern of continually “misunderstanding” you, there’s a good chance you’re getting manipulated. You could end up talking yourself in circles which will be draining, harm your mental health, and make you too emotional so that you can’t think clearly. People who cheat, regardless of their sex, do so for one reason - because they choose to. There is no excuse. If you aren't getting what you want/need from your spouse, then SAY SO. If s/he can't/won't provide it, then LEAVE and pursue it with someone else. Don't just go knocking boots with someone else on the side.

I trusted my husband 100%, gave him everything and went through a lot for him and yet he cheated on me. He was even planning on marrying this woman and eloping with her. When I asked,he denied denied denied a thousand times till I told him I have the messages between them ,then he apologized. 50% of my trust was gone and I told him that. Then I caught him again cheated on me the second time. Then the other 50% is gone. Now I'm only with him sake of my kids. Nothing more. No love. No trust. Nothing.

The worst mistake I can make is not to say “Thank You” . But I’m not such kind of fool who doesn’t have the eyes to see the progress and more importantly “Not An Ingrate”. I broke up with a girl bc I was gonna start to cheat and told her the reason she still didnt understand. I ran into her later in life and found out me dumping her led to her going through depression and self committing herself to a hospital for a month.

Probably if you are dating (but that is not a guarantee). I do not think it matters if you are married. It will hurt if you cheat or not--especially if it is long-term marriage and you are leaving them because you want someone else or you simply do not want to be with that person anymore. Rejection hurts and it hurts even more the longer you are with that person. Actually, even if you break up before you get physical with your new love interest, you have already cheated because you gave energy and time to someone else that you should have been given to your lover or spouse.

@Grace Some things as bad as they are in the moment: are a blessing in disguise. Some people stay in relationships that they are not happy way too long. It sucks to have to go through that but your new found understanding will make things better for you to attract someone who appreciates the way you deserve to be instead of trying to change you.

Men cheat because they choose to .I just got out of a 6 years relationship because he cheated when i confronted him with the woman he said he didnt know me. i slap him infront of her and we had the worst fight i left him she went to the carribbean with him he then cheated on her within 2 months he came back to me i told him keep walking.he apologise but to late the trust is broken now he is sorry but i dont want him back its 6 months and am doing better than i expected.

I'll tell you ladies a story once upon a time there was a scorpion that wanted to get across the river, so he asks the Fox to help him get across, then the fox says, but you will sting me, then the scorpion says why would i do that we will both drown in the river. So fox puts the scorpion on his back but once they are half way across the river, the scorpion stings the fox, then the fox says why did you do that now we will both drown in the river, then the scorpion says to the fox, it is my nature! Avery Smith yes they do thinking they can fix the relationship they ruined, but they can't because you done let it all go, all the lying and cheating over and over can wear you out, and get tired then you give up on him and let him go be with the woman/girl he was seeing. He sees that you've changed and misses you, but it's to late. So he just sticks around and doesn't take no for an answer, so he's basically a stalker and finally See's there's nothing he can do to get you back and he can't move on because he doesn't want anyone but you so now he's depressed even more than how he was before he met you and wants to end his life because he's tired of hurting.

I had the same situation. I was in a 5 year relationship with my ex and we had wonderful years and so many happy memories. Unfortunately at the end o the relationship I started to notice a lot of Thing changes with him. I had many suspicions that he was cheating on me . He never admitted to it and that’s the worst part , but he decided to end our relationship saying he didn’t love me anymore and he didn’t want us to ever go back. Cheating is a sign that your partner does not genuinely love you. A partner who truly loves you will prioritise you and remain genuinely faithful. Falling in love and falling in lust are two very different things. Acting upon your physical attraction to a third or more parties when you're in a serious, long term relationship is a sign that you are not in love with the primary partner but seriously using them and abusing their trust. If you cannot commit emotionally or physically to your primary partner then make the honorable choice and let them go so they can find a loyal partner deserving of their love because it's wasted on you. Wanting your cake and to eat it too, is narcissistic, self entitled and utterly selfish behaviour. It is also cruel and manipulative because it involves lying, denials and gaslighting all of which can cause serious emotional trauma in the primary partner. End the primary relationship before seeking other partners. There's a saying- Past behaviour is a predictor of future behaviour.

I feel that it's even worse when people say, "They meant nothing to me! It was a one time thing! There were no feelings involved! They don't compare to you!" Let's analyze that: So... You're basically saying that you destroyed a relationship, affianced status, or marriage with or without kids, all for someone who meant nothing to you? So, someone who means nothing to you means more to you than the feelings of your wife. Someone who means nothing to you was enough to get you to cheat on your wife or husband? So, that means your partner meant less than nothing, if that nothing was enough of nothing for you to completely ruin your relationship for. Some people don't think about the stupid excuses they make when they cheat.

Women like you think that men cheat more, how can this happen. There should be woman involved to cheat. If x number of men cheat , then there should be x number of women who cheat. Keylow 89 that is a cop out for women so they never have to take any responsibility for when men cheat. When a man has to beg for sex it's like him coming home to an empty fridge he will either leave the women or cheat, unfortunately many times a man will cheat. Women are 40% more likely to cheat than 30 years ago, lots of men know this. Women nowadays are usually the one to get bored of the relationship first, Also there is some women groups that the government is afraid of but instead of these women's groups trying to make things equal for men and women which would be great, but instead they're fighting for more rights for women than men, one example is if a man after 3 years finds out he's not the real dad he still has to pay for child support until that child is 18 years old, why because he never requested a dna test when the child is born. Most places or all places in the United States there is no punishment for a woman lying about who is the father is and women don't have the same morals that they did 30 years ago, Lots of women start gaining weight and stop caring as much about their health and then expect the man they are with to just love them for who they are being ignorant to why it would bother him, also lots don't treat there man with respect they are disrespectful to man there with. So even though i never cheated on a women lots of men are tired of how women treat men, there's a small percentage of women that treat their man good i'm hoping to marry this rare kind of women which my odds are not good, i will treat her with the same respect as i would want a man to treat my mom with. Lots of women are attracted to men that treat them bad and find men that treat them good boring lots of those bad boys will cheat on those women.

wise man I have to disagree with you on some of of what your saying. I do not think the woman or man that was cheated on needs to take any responsibility for what their partner did. It is NOT the faithful partners fault that made someone cheat and they should NEVER feel like it was. It doesn't matter if they are a sloppy fat ass and let themselves go. You should love your spouse no matter what and work together to get things back on track. There are no excuses. If anyone , man or woman, wants to cheat, then end the relationship 1st. Dont be a sneaky . When trust is broken its very hard to get back if ever for the one who has been hurt. Even in future relationahips. No one deserves that betrayal!!!

Alright. First of all- There are a number of reasons why anyone cheats. It's certainly not only men who do it. And I do believe that the saying "Oh, all men cheat" IS a cop out. There is a societal expectation that men will be always sexually active, always "hunting". And that simply isn't true. The whole idea that for men, sex is JUST sex is BS. Women aren't the only ones capable of forming emotional attachment- but men are told by society that they aren't allowed to feel that way (that's a whole 'nother issue). Someone cheats if they don't respect the other person. "If someone flirts with me, how do I respond?" You tell them nicely to back off! Men don't have a "predator" reflex- that's perpetuating the idea that men are all "animals", who can't control themselves when they see an inch of skin. I totally agree that when a man and woman are truly in love, there is no cheating. However, when people are unhappy in a marriage, they look for an outlet for their unhappiness. I was cheated on 10 years ago. I really loved him and hoped we'd have a future together. After I got pregnant, things started to change. I figured it was due to his schedule, working full-time and going to school. I thought perhaps I was paranoid. But I felt it in my gut, something was wrong. I brought it up and tried to get him to talk to me. He denied it, over and over. Saying he was going out alot because he just needed to "chill', so he'd go out with his "boys". I checked his email, and got into his phone records. Started calling every number I didn't recognize. Sure, i started to feel crazy, until SHE PICKED UP. Then I found out what he didn't have the decency to tell me. Go figure, he didn't even feel sorry or apologize once he found out i knew, because she told him. No, in fact, he blamed me... he said I "ruined this for him". Who says that??? Luckily for me, I believe in Karma... what ever you do, comes back to you. In his case, it definitely did. I made sure of it.
