Hayes: Trump Judges Reminds Us The Rule Of Law Is A 'Human Institution'

Chris Hayes: “With each action she takes, it is harder and harder to conclude anything other than Judge Cannon is fully biased in favor of the man that got her her job, Donald Trump. It's an important reminder, that in the end, the judiciary and the law is ultimately just what a bunch of judges say it is."

I agree with you this incident needs to be investigated. I am thinking Judge Cannon is under some kind of threats from Trump, Trump allies and/or his supporters. She fears the threats to herself and her family. I assume she is smart enough to know her rulings are biased, which has drawn many negative remarks toward her. She has ruined her reputation, but unless a drastic action is taken, she will still stay as a judge, right? Also eventually, the right judicial decision will be made, but not from her, thus she avoids the threats. When the violence is an overwhelming theme of the Trump supporters, not everyone has the courage to stand up, especially family members are also involved. Not to find the excuse for those people who give in, but it’s really sad the violence has affected the behaviors of judge(s) and Congress members.

I work in the legal field. Judges behave with impunity, with no oversight and no accountability. The Judicial Review Board that allegedly oversees judges' behavior has never in its history sanctioned or removed a judge from the bench, no matter how egregious their behavior. The reason for that is because judges move freely from the bench o the Judicial Review Board where they are paid an obscene amount of money to do absolutely nothing, and then move back to the bench again. None of the judges want to rock the boat on this extremely lucrative arrangement, which the taxpayers pay for. It is a grotesque conflict of interest, a complete betrayal of justice, and allows incompetent, biased, racist, and even openly corrupt judges to make unjust and prejudiced decisions with impunity. Every attorney knows this, but nothing can be done about it.

My question is why haven't we heard from THE AMERICAN BAR ASSOCIATION? Isn't it within their realm to DISBAR anyone in the LEGAL PROFESSION who has crossed the line of ethics? Nowadays, it appears the practice of LAW in this country by some people (yes, many who are seated as governors, mayor's, judges, senators and representatives) are prone to believe at times they can "skirt" the very laws they swore under oath to uphold! This scenario has played out by many of the men and women who have been engaged by DJT in the many ongoing court cases he is involved in. The urge to get "a piece of the pie" by many lawmakers, (however. I will stress here..NOT ALL) leads them down the path to criminal activity. Due to this, families are shamed, law partnerships are dissolved, good friends detached, offices closed and ultimately the shame of a lifetime disbarment from the field of law. For what? A conviction, loss of a livelihood, jail sentence? These are things that have occurred lately and caused many Americans to question the country's ENTIRE LEGAL SYSTEM. American Bar Association: Are you listening??
