Even "entertaining" these questions, shows what a joke the "Supreme" Court is. The answer to all of these questions, is NOOOOOOOOOO!! PERIOD! FULL STOP! There are no exceptions!!!

One would think there would be no exceptions under law true. But with a stacked deck of hand picked cronies posing as judges put into those chambers by the very person wishing to overthrow it and all of democracy & destroy the constitution -hypothetically- does it really inspire anyone to support a system so corrupt and clearly fractured. I'm most curious as to Whatever happened to "together we stand / divided we fall"

Agree that Supreme Court is a TOTALLY corrupt, moral lacking, wet blanket so deep into the pockets of"powerful" people that they can't even look at issues with common sense. This is the dumbest use of their time.

Oddly their only task is to rule on the case in front of them. They are not concocting new legislation to cover future scenarios. NOT their job.

Having a politically appointed judiciary with life terms is what has led to this naked corruption. The need for an independent judiciary appointed solely on legal merit, as exists in most developed countries has never been clearer.

George W Bush made a ton of mistakes. But perhaps the biggest was appointing Roberts Chief Justice. The Supreme Court has become so corrupt under him. He's done nothing about it.

Sadly they didn't really discuss the direct issue of Jan 6th. Lawrence O'Donnell, had Laurence tribe, law professor, Weissman & Neil Katel. They explained there is a possible chance for judge Roberts to make the ultimate decision. That he can do that if he chose to. That would be the proper thing to do sit in precedent for the future. The Supreme Court truly needs to be so SERIOUS play making this decision! It's really sad that they took so long to address this and may push it back down to a lower court. Yes, another delay. It's so VERY WRONG! TY Rachel & ALL host, you are all phenomenal you presented after hearing, I did tune into. Thanks TRULY!

Their argument that it's too crazy of a hypothetical belies the question of why are you seeking immunity if it's hypothetical and unlikely? He did attempt a coup. It's not hypothetical.

No attempted coup. Reality -- Trump won 2020. The Jan 6 protest rally was infiltrated and hijacked by anti-Trump people, including FBI operatives, who were at the Capitol to help foment a riot,.. a riot which would then be used in an 'Attack on the Capitol' disinformation campaign. It was a set-up, a trap laid. This is the evil we face.

Completely downplaying...not even mentioning Jan 6th or Trump was the conservative Justices whole strategy. Delaying this DC court case until after election a complete sham miscarriage of justice and denial of their oaths to The Constitution.

I wish some other leaders felt that way about one particular human.
