I bought this cart 2 years ago after watching BRUCE PENDER mower repai videos. I love it but I did add hydraulic fluid when I got it, the store told me too. Its really a back saver and it lifted a 550lb 13 drawer tool cabinet from my truck bed to the ground like nothing. I added 3/4" marine plywood (24"x40") and a 1" piece of firring strip to prevent my mowers from rolling off. I put it under my bench when not in use and never store it table up or under a load for long periods, you'll blow out the seals.

Harry I like that idea too. When we was growing up in the depression my mommer always said the same thing. Now we didn't have much during the depression but you know it was more than a lot of people had and we was thankful to the good lord for it. Now my daddy couldn't find a lot of work but he did the best he could and mommer would take in washing sometimes to make ends meet and her and daddy growed a garden and so we always had fresh vegetables, sometimes there werent' enough but we was always thankful, even when it was sad and depressing. That's what I remember about the depression, it was always sad and depressing. but we would invited family and friends over when we had enough and setting there at that table with all our friends around us we knowed everthang was gone be alright. We didn't want there to be no war because we loved everbody but then thangs got so bad that Franklin D. Roosevelt decided he was gone fight the depression for his people even though he was rich and the depression didn't hurt him he loved his people and everbody else enough he wanted everbody to overcome the depression and so he fought the depression and then he got together with Winston churchill and Joseph Stalin, two other great men and Winston Churchill had said that it weren't right for the Germans to be doing so well and not be in a depression because Hitler had put his people to work building and planting and so Winston Churchill decided he was gone kill the Notsies and Franklin D. Roosevelt decided he would kill the Notsies so they joined Joseph Stalin and started the war. Now that was bad but you know what. They was able to build a bomb plant and my daddy got him a job there making bombs for Winston Churchill to drop and burn up Notsy childern. And we was happy cause we was fightin evil people but not Joseph Stalin all them people he had killed deserved it. And all them Indians and Irish poeple Churchill had killed was evil. They was probably racists or something. And then Franklin D. Roosevelt finally defeated the Notsies and made the world safe for Jews and thats why America is such a happy place today. Thank you. I bought the 500lb table and had the problem of the table not going down when the handle was squeezed. Being familiar with hydraulic pumps and rams, I did not read their instructions on bleeding, merely added fluid and bled the air out. But the table would barely creep down when the handle was depressed. Me and a friend picked the table up and placed it on my workbench. I put the table up and locked the release handle to the full down position. Next was to check how far the swivel mechanism was depressing the plunger when the handle was depressed. I then pushed a common screw driver between the swivel and plunger and levered the plunger further down. The table top started coming down at a very nice rate. I then adjusted the cable ends to the extreme out position and the top comes down at a rapid rate (just fast enough for me). I have also heard (and experienced) about models with the rubber plug on the oil fill being extremely hard to get back in. When I had the table on the bench, the plug was removed and the level checked. Afterwards I took some sandpaper and rounded the very bottom edge where in would just fit in the hole. As I was reinstalling the plug, I noticed inside the whole there appeared to be two of three threads. I then put the plug into the hole and instead of trying pushing it in, I screwed it in and it went right in with no hassles. I think the manufacturer would have a lot less returns if they would just go over possible problems in the manual (and have an english speaking engineer write them), as most are easy fixes. Of course you are paying for it to perform properly out of the box, but, in many cases fixing small problems are easier that a return and possible wait for another one.

I think you'll loke the lift. Glad youwere able to get it.

I used one of these lift tables to do single handed installs on 40 and 50 gal gas water heaters onto the raised platforms. This helped me towards the end of my 38 year plumbing career, but it was too late and my back gave out at 54 years old.

I used mine (one I've had for years) to do just that. I couldn't have done it any other way.

Good thing to know about the 25% coupon thanks that certainly makes a big difference the entire cart seams like it is pretty decent I looked into building a scissor lift table / cart to use but this one with some modifications wil be a easier way to go btw I am a Woodworker (retired) and I have compressed air throughout my shop so I might install a air assist on the hydraulics to make raising it faster thank you for the review and unboxing

I have one. The two brackets underneath will hold the table at full height. Safety feature. I even used mine to help a friend put a small safe up on a table and installed a large window a/c by myself.

The two bars you said you won't use are safety stops. Like jackstands, they prevent the table from collapsing if the hydraulic ram fails. I suggest you use the stops when the table is raised and in use. Best to you and yours.

Wow, you got a great deal. I just paid the Post-COVID inflation price of $230 today. So relieved to see that there isn't much assembly required.

As tool and die maker used die carts for years moving heavy dies around shop,they had a wider stance to prevent tipping.

I picked up one of these a while back for small engine repair, works great but absolutely requires you to add a large piece of flat steel to the top. The table tops way too small. I added a 3 ft by 3 ft piece of plate steel to mine before I replaced it with a 37x73" table.

To work on mowers and snow blowers i found it easy but more stable to just roll them onto a table or saw horse platform.

Good job, don’t listen to the jerks, obviously, they don’t have one!

About 11 years ago someone put that same mower on the side of the road and of course me being me thinking I can fix anything I grabbed it. It sat for about 2-3 years but nonetheless I got it going and I will say that thing is a tank of a lawnmower. The last batch of when things got built right I guess.

I think the purpose of those stop bars is so you can do maintenance on the cylinder.

I need to single handedly install 7 foot cultured marble vanity tops. This would work.

What’s the minimum height of the table? I’m looking to move heavy rocks to make a retaining wall. If I lay plywood on the ground, I should be able to use this to move them.

Dumb question..but when the wheels are locked does it move or have a little give? putting a heat press on it and the heat press auto opens so shakes and moves my current table

I have a lift table I made a ramp fo lawnmowers and snowblowers. So i wheel the table under the ramp and lift both.

How do you like the HF welding table?

I think those bars are a safety feature if the hydraulic piston fails.

If you put a wooden platform on you won’t be able to remove wheels easily if necessary. I would leave it as is and rest the mower on the deck. Doesn’t stop you from working on anything but the blade, which you would tip it up on the ground to work on anyway?

Did you ever mod this and is there a video of it after mods?

I have to build a rear for my car in my apartment so I’m really gonna need this to get it out the door…😳 I hope this is as good as you say.

It's a really great cart I opted for the thousand pound and the handle folds on that one but overall they are very handy I learned about mine from the den of tools the tool bear LOL they are great for working on lawn mowers appliances and taking things out of the back of a pickup would highly recommend either one

Mine simply will not lift up. I tried putting the air out and it was a real pain to get the plug back in, but still, it would not lift. There was NO hydraulic oil in it what so ever. I filled the thing and let the air out again and still nothing.

What does it mean to "bleed it". What does that do?

How high does it go.

So, I was wondering if I could use one of these to remove and reinstall my John Deere backhoe from/to the tractor, since hooking it up is a royal pain! The problem is that the base of the backhoe is definitely longer and maybe a little wider than the platform of this table. Love3boat92 (or anybody!), do you have any suggestions on how to make this work, or maybe another tool that will do an even better job? Looking for a reasonably priced solution, since I don't weld. (BTW, the backhoe weighs about 775 lbs., so I'd definitely be looking at the 1K table, and I'd be VERY nervous about having much of the weight of the backhoe go over the edge of the platform itself.) Thoughts?

You could put a larger top on it like I did on mine. Just make it out of thick wood and get the 1000 lb. Capacity table like you said. Build it strong.

He didn't show the important part: how did he get the mower on the platform? Did he have to pick it up with his hands?

Cracks me up. "needs to be bled." No kidding, there are instructions right on the side "Bleeding Important" @ 17:03.

I thank you for putting this up and reviewing the Harbor Freight hydraulic cart. But man . . . . . 18 minutes to review what could have taken maybe 5 minutes. Edit out the screwing in the bolt for the foot pedal we don't want to see that. Assembly could have been explained in 45 seconds. And the rest of the features like the table size and pumping it up to 29" height could have used a timed hair cut. I like reviews that are cold simple and all about facts. Thank heavens for fast forwarding.

Why the hell were you removing the wrench when tightening the bolt for the foot pedal? It's a RATCHETING wrench for a reason.

Too much small talk and unnecessary over explaining -- just get to the point(s), otherwise I can't watch.

Amazing that people make these videos with so little knowledge of what they're doing. I had to stop it at the 5:00 mark - it was hard to watch. FIRST: those "straps" you immediately cut off have a purpose, both for those who get the product TO you, and also FOR YOU. They allow an easy way to lift the product in a fairly stable and convenient way (use of gloves recommended). The straps are set back off the edges to give you a tighter lift point for awkward sized boxes. Use them! You may call yourself "long arm" but it's no way to work. In your case, you should have put the product on a bench or table (I keep cheap folding tables in my shop for this purpose, although my favorite is one I made from cheap town dump hinges and 2x4's that is a perfect 2' high). At that 4:45 mark, you reach to the floor, spread your arms in an unbalanced & terribly awkward position (back completely bent and knees almost straight - DO THE OPPOSITE when lifting!), and try lifting the unit from the box. Your predictable "OHHHH man!" as the strain hits you and the short remark about how heavy it is followed quickly. Now if you do this in your own shop, that's ok. Don't care how badly you hurt yourself in the privacy of your own home. But - I can't understand why anyone who does this type of careless work would record and post for other to see. Before this lift table purchase, did you work on those push mowers the same way??? Owww. At least bend your knees a little. I wish folks posting these homemade videos would spend a couple bucks and buy some video editing software. LOOK at your video and spot all the bad habits, then re-record those segments and create a better product. IMHO a LOT of the babble in the beginning could have hit the cutting room floor too but that's just me. The killer was at 4:59 when you said "the handles are attached". They aren't. C'mon. Maybe I worked too long with "post" crews (post production) and are jaded, but these things make me crazy. Hard to imagine 59k people (as of this date) have watched this.

Thats exactly what I bought it for

I've got the larger one. The mgr at HF told me to add hydraulic oil to the cylinder; they don't ship them full. I did, and the table goes up to full height much easier. it's messy, but doable. Also, I think those two stops are "fail-safes" to keep it from slamming to the floor in a blowout. Mine does not have them. You should be able to work at full "pumped" height. I made a plywood top for it, and added a strip to the plywood front that sticks up about two inches to prevent roll-offs. it's awesome to work on, you'll love it.

I got one for christmas, raised a 65 pound welding rotator , and noticed it feels if you were to bump into it from the side, that it would fall over. Also, it will not reach the height of your truck tail gate. I read that the 1000 lb rated one will. I'm probably gonna take it back and buy the 1000 lb one, or weld on two stabilizers to the bottom and add bigger castors, so it will reach my tail gate.

I have had the 1000 pound one for a couple of years. I use it regularly in my shop with no problems. I recommend the 1000 pound model over the 500 pound one if you can afford the extra cost. I also use it for loading and unloading heavy items (furniture, etc.) from my truck. The 1000 pound model will lift right up to the level of my tail gate which is super helpful.

I’ve had the 500 pound version for two years. I use it in a small engine repair shop to lift mowers and other things like tillers, generators, etc. I love it. Works great.

Could probably just screw on a little triangle cut 2x4 as a ramp

so it should work right out of the box? I wasnt sure about the bleeding process and how to do it
