I am not certain if you need it. When I played it, I had the GIP, BUT some had claimed that they used one of the earlier versions and were able to am WITHOUT GIP (ie basic plan). Best way to verify is post on the SGT Discord server and see if they can help.

Thanks for the video. I was following along step by step. When you got to the 3:29 mark saying run anyway my computer did not run. It appears to just do nothing? any suggestions?

So I'm clear, when you try and run the interface file, nothing happens? Its doesn't run? If so, try and right click the file and select run as administrator and see of that works.

I believe you can be connected via wifi, but I was always connected via USB.

So I did everything u did and I got to search for device and it said could not start discovering

Thanks for this video. I got GSPRO to work well with my skytak until the update yesterday. Every time I start GSPRO it would close the interface program. I was able to get the interface talking to Skytrak but GSPRO would not connect to the interface software after the recent update.

I understand from the Discord server that nothing was changed except some checks due to the 1 year anniversary. Here's what was posted yesterday: soupy - Yesterday at 12:38 PM the update did not change anything for connections to LM's all it did was change a way to vet the licenses since we hit the 1 year anniversary today Sounds like some people powered down and restarted and was able to get it to work.

@@DreamGolf unfortunately for me I have powered down and restarted many times with the same result. The interface shuts down when GSPRO is booted up. My license is only a few months old.

I also have the same question as David below, although from most of the stuff I'm reading it appears you do not need the GIP to make this work. But I assume you do need to install the Skytrak basic app correct?

I have both. I would go with GSPRO. unfortunately, I can't speak to Skytrak anymore. I sold mine and bought a GC2.

I followed all your instructions. I get connected, hit a couple balls, then the interface tells me “round ended”. This happened several times. Any suggestions? I assume that I never run the Skytrak software with this method. Right? Second question: do I need to pay $60 to get access to a course thru SGT?

Never had it show round ended. I would suggest asking the boys on Discord about that. When using the interface and GSpro, you don't use the skytrak app at the same time. You do not need to pay extra to get access to the courses. SGT subscription is only online tournaments. You can play remote with other people live without the SGT sub,.

Does the USB need tobe connected to the skytrak from the PC? Or can it be done wireless/Bluetooth?

It doesn't but you will need to make sure your ST is setup for network mode or direct WIFI if you're not. Direct WIFI can be challenging if you're computer is not set up to communicate to the internet via ethernet while using your wireless modem for ST wifi signal. Network would be best if you can't use ethernet with your PC, but you need to be sure your signal is good or you will struggle with communication issues (delay, no reads, etc).

I have had great results with USB after I made sure my cable was an ACTIVE USB cable. Somwtime you can have problems if the cable is too long and you may experience drops. Make sure you get a good quality cable.

Followed the steps to connect my Skytrak to GSPro, but the device software doesn't detect my Skytrak, even after searching for it. I get a "no connection could be made because the target device refused it" message in the GSPro Device Interface. Can anyone help? I feel like I'm missing something basic and obvious. TIA.

I like both sims, but GSPRO is great for the money. Visuals are superb on GSPRO. TGC2019 is a polished product. Animations, sound, etc are first class where GSP feels amateur. So if I was to do it again, I would start with a subscription of GSPRO before I purchased TGC2019. If I was happy, I would continue with the subscription. At the time I purchased TGC2019, they were the best compared to E6, etc. Also at the time, the best deal for your money was the one time purchase. With GSP being 250/year, that has changed the playing field. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching and please subscribe if you haven't already!

When I run the interface it starts up then disappears. It won’t stay up and run. Any suggestions?

Typically, once your set it, every time it reloads it disappears. Do your shots register on GSPRO?

It appears to be a dll error. Go to SGT discord Server and then to skytrak help. should be listed at the bottom under dll errors.
