I'd love to see some more E6 videos including what practice options you have say compared to Awesome golf. Also, you mentioned a price difference that was significant but didn't go into it. If you take the gaming PC requirement out what is the licensing difference?

I do have a few videos showing the practice facilities in e6. kzread.info/dash/bejne/aYmhksisma-0hJs.html The price is going to be based on where you are located it is region based like awesome golf. For a standard licence with only 27 courses you're looking at $2.5k. The actual number of courses vs cost is a lot compared to GS Pro

Does E6 benefit from using RCT balls & metal dots when using the R10? When I used a ball with metal tape I noticed the Spin Rate in the R10 app was NOT italicized (different from the Back Spin value), but E6 only displayed the back spin value in the E6 Analyzer. E6 does not display every shot value (ex. Spin Rate) that the R10 app displays. Are all of the R10 shot numbers used by E6 or just the selected numbers that are displayed in the E6 Analyzer? Thanks!

Hey Tom yes so I can confirm that the spin rate is definitely taken into account when using the RCT and Garmin R10 + E6. So e6 will take all the values like ball speed, VLA, HLA, spin, spin axis and then it will calculate carry distances within its own software.

I always liked E6. Course designs are very detailed and "different" than other software. They are supposedly coming out with a much improved version in the next year or so.

Yeah it will be interesting to see what the update looks like. I personally love GS Pro and the functionality that it offers.. also the course list just keeps growing rapidly! But I'm excited to see the e6 update.

Agree. Much more user friendly, especially on an iPad

In settings go under putting mode and choose either computer decides or player decides for the feature to allow you to chip onto the green, and not give you an auto putt from like 30 yards away lol. It took me awhile to figure that out when I started playing E6 via R10. I prefer computer decides as I cannot putt via R10. I do like chipping shots when this is turned on. Helps me gage chipping distances for real on course rounds.

I got mine connected with a usb cable from the r10 to the PC. The issue I’m having is it takes so long to display the shot on the PC. What if causing the massive delay ? Any help would be amazing. The r10 sometimes just goes solid red as well then I need to turn it off and on again. Painful experience so far 😢

Hey Frank glad you have it sorted mate! Yes e6 is definitely a step up (in terms of simulation) from the Garmin and Rapsodo native golf apps that's for sure.

I created a E6 account on my gaming PC (Windows 11) and logged in via the E6 Connect portal. Went to licences and said I have a Garmin R10 and was told the demo version only runs on ios? Your video shows the demo version running on a laptop gaming PC? I assume when you say gaming PC you mean Windows gaming PC? What am I missing?

Hi Joe. Question. I have an R10 and I currently use the API interface to connect GSPro to my gaming laptop. Graphics are great but my connection with the R10 is hit/miss. When I can't fix my connection problems, my back up is to use my iPad/E6 Connect (basic connection purchased). Graphics are not as sharp as GSPro/laptop, but it's easy to connect. I'm looking at your "Playing E6 Connected on PC" KZread video and I'm considering just using E6 Connect for my SIM Golfing. My question is: Will I have to purchase a second E6 subscription to use E6 on my laptop? I hesitate to undo my laptop/ E6 connection since it's my reliable way to connect/play. Any suggestions? Hey mate yes unfortunately you would have to get a second subscription for e6 as the free one that comes with the Garmin is an iOS licence 😭. What issues do you get with the R10 direct Bluetooth connection? Mine is always SOLID! That being said I'm probably not using it as much as yourself. Cheers

Joe! Thank you for the quick reply! After reviewing my paid basic subscription to E6, turns out I have both a mobile license and a desktop license. I maintain my mobile license on my ipad and set up my gaming laptop with E6 desktop license. Hit a ball indoors 4 feet, to test the garmin, and it recorded the shot. One thing I don't see a message at the bottom of the E6 screen showing the garmin is connected or "asleep." Not sure to tell right aways when my garmin is connected to the e6. I'll try playing a course this weekend and hope it goes well. I was wondering, to connect my garmin to my laptop, I needed to go through my ipad (garmin app...golf sim...e6...Play on pc....) and i get the message that i'm connected. Strange that I'm not able to connect garmin directly to my laptop via bluetooth. Any thoughts or info on that. Anyways. I have a paid subscription for gspro, but my garmin kept disconnecting. So I may not renew in June '24 if e6 turns out to be a more reliable sim software. Thanks again for all the info you and your YT channel provides. @@JLagGOLF

Joe, love the video's, could you clear up something for me, as I'm looking to buy a Garmin R10. In 'Playing 9 holes on E6 Connect with the Garmin R10 - Bandon Dunes front 9' you had 5 courses to choose from and you were connected via your iPad, but when you were connected to E6 via your PC you only had 1 course to play. Is this because you connected via your iPad and you get more free courses with iOS then Windows or is there some other reason?

Hey Mickey yes so with the R10 you get 5 free courses in an iOS licence these will work with iOS devices like an iPad or iPhone. Unfortunately android users get left out 😭. For the PC version of e6 you can get a free trial but it only has 1 course available unfortunately. The 5 free iOS courses you get for life with the R10 is a great deal... you also get that with the Rapsodo MLM2PRO as well. Cheers

Definitely check out the MLM2PRO as well I’m sure you have in your research its a great device and if you intend to use it indoors its a lot ore accurate with shop shape in my experience. You do need to pay the annual subscription though and use the RPT golf balls…. Pros and cons

Can you please do a video of how to get the sc4 to connect to PC with the e6 app I was able to download it to my laptop but I can't get my launch monitor to connect to the laptop..

No unfortunately not for e6.. Rapsodo did say there would be a direct connection for e6 and PC when they released the unit but we haven't heard anything since. 😭

In putting mode you can choose Autoscore, Player Decides or Computer Decides. Player Decides or Computer Decides features/requires chipping and then the player or the computer can decide how many putts based on how close to the hole you are. Autoscore is a great feature when you are playing E6 at the driving range and you don't want to waste too many range balls on short chips. But when you are playing indoors or with a net then computer decides is the best option as it requires chipping from around the green. Autoscore can get ridiculously generous if you get on a positive roll like that 1 putt from the rocks! 😂 I once shot 70 on one of the par 72 courses but it included some very generous 1 putts and up and downs. Conversely if you are hacking it up it can give some very mean spirited 3 putts! 😂

Hey mate sorry for the late reply I don't believe the MLM2PRO has the direct PC connection just yet. When I tried to connect a few weeks back it wasn't an option and I don't think it's been announced just yet.. hopefully soon as I know they were working on it 🤞🤞 Cheers

Do you know if E6 would run on a AMD Ryzen 5 processor with a Nvidia GeForce RTX 2050? E6 recommends intel 5i but I’m assuming Ryzen 5 would work

Should run no issues cause that's suggested probably for 4k. I've seen guys say they have used AMD CPU from 2013 and low end GPU and ran 1080 or ultra. Guess E6 is way less demanding than GSPRO

When i get to the host part, it freezes, my pc requirements are all good... What a massive headache for something that simple. The R10 is connected to the garmin app on my phone... But the e6 doesn't detect the R10. Also when i checked the available free courses i could only see one unlocked... Most likely will give up on this and use awesome golf.

Yes it wasn't the easiest to get connected and you will only get the one course using it on PC as the 5 free courses is an iOS licence only not a PC licence 😭

So you can use iOS or a PC for E6, but you NEED a PC for GSPro right?

@JLagGOLF damn GSPro would disrupt the market if they come up with that. I'm opening an indoor and traveling golf simulator business in Downtown Los Angeles California and the only reason I'm getting awesome golf over GSPro is because I don't have an extra $5K for a couple gaming laptops for my traveling golf simulators. With Awesome Golf, I can buy refurbished ipads that will only run me about $300/simulator vs a couple thousand per simulator for the laptops.

At 915 you stated the yardage on your chips were different but you forgot the E6 had wind on so will be different cauae your GCquad is just doing regular calculations no wind and R10 had wind

E6 looks great. That garmin is sure lacking behind now without being able to read spin. Would be nice if they came up with a better unit. This is the future for sure with these smaller priced units. Hopefully more manufacturers will come into the game.

Absolutely.. I'm sure they are working on something. What we need now is a sub $1000 photometric based system.. that thing would take over the market.

At launch, didn’t Rapsodo users have access to E6 or am I wrong on that? Last I heard about the E6 update - it will come out in 2024, but like you said, that could be a rumor.
