Hey Joe, thanks for the video. Upgrading my golf sim from the garage (in Texas) to bringing it indoors so I can use year round. Did you have to trim this Bayside mat at all or put your homemade poly foam piece under it? Or is it just the thin Bayside strike mat inserted into your stance mat?
Would love to see your stance on 14 out of that bunker if that was on the actual course haha
Great round. I had a blast on this course and actually did Ok on it. Putting was the one thing that eat my lunch, and I have to say I wish they had an 'anti-boost' slider to tone the EML perceived putt speed.
Joe, i apologize this isn't relevant to this video, but could you do a video on what happens if the MLM2PRO isn't setup at the right height and how to get the distance from the ball correct? As far as I can tell the height doesn't make any difference as long as the ball is in the right spot for it to pick up the shots. But you have stressed that it needs to be at the perfect height, why is this? Also distance for me seems weird, it seems too close to the ball and when I watch replay video to check my swing half my body is cut off in the video. It also seems to favor one side so when there is left and right hand shooters you can't see them equally. Also can you include something around the RPT balls? I have shot range balls and it still gives me spin numbers but want to know how accurate the spin is without the RPT (maybe the RPT balls are just another way to make money but aren't necessary)
Hi Joe great videos. Just got a question you may be able to help with on gspro. Will it make any difference to my shot performance if I don't go with the club automatically selected and use a different one but don't change it. I keep forgetting to change clubs. I am in the process of setting my simulator up… my question is this, do I need an actual gaming PC for GSpro or can I run GSpro with an iPad Pro and not have these issues since the update? Secondly, what projector are you using in this video?
I am using Bitdefender on my PC, everytime I try to download the springbok driver it deletes the file as a virus, anyone else had this problem.?

Thanks mate! Unfortunately no that isn't an option at the moment it will just go onto the next shot. I'm assuming you are wanting this for when you are playing with multiple people in your room? The good thing with GS Pro is they are always open to things like this if you shoot them an email explaining what you mean they might add it. Cheers

Yes, this is a beta app and firmware
Mulligan feature is new, previous you could not mulligan a shot that result in auto-putt. IOW the hole was "done" as soon as you hit the green.

I only use this to play GSpro . I could not care less what ever update they have unless its performance related . The graphics are as crap as you can get . It will be great when you can ditch the app altogether . You can get the balls for much cheaper than $170 . newygolfstore has them for $130 and you get a discount code when you sign up .

I have heard of them! Never used one.. for me with nets I think the Spornia is a fantastic option and you have the drop screen and net so I'd feel very safe knowing the ball isn't going to go through. Also you can replace the back screen easily with a white one for a projector.
Hello joe sorry unrelated question. How do you feel sim golf scores compare to real life scores. Do you find and average of + strokes on real or is it pretty close?
My Sim scores are definitely lower than real life for me! In the last 6 months my lowest score outside is 66 and in the Sim it's 57 🤣. And I attribute that to a few reasons... In the Sim I always have a perfect lie with a flat stance... I also don't have any environmental factors affecting me like wind pushing me. On top of that in the Sim I have a lot of more reference lines to aim perfect everytime.. so for me Sim scores are lower but a lot of people who don't play much Sim golf might shoot higher if they can't chip and putt.
i saw the connection to the gs pro or e6 connect and do you have to have a subscription or license to use e6 connect ?

Tried to use this with a net in the backyard and less than half the shots would even pick up with their rpt balls and even less with regular balls. Definitely returning this junk
I would make sure you are checking your alignment. Rapsodos support could help you. The alignment box and screen are huge. 6.5ft from ball to unit is the right distance and it has to be in the box.

Animation between holes is painfully slow! e6 has an option to speed it up, MLM2Pro needs this.

Yes you're absolutely right it's an option that you can select in the menu before jumping into the game 👍.

For the subscription, to me you are not getting your money's worth. The graphics are terrible for course play. Glad it's improving for people who have it.
It's definitely improving which is good to see. The graphics now are much improved since launch! Oh man looking back now with those flat courses absolutely no undulation and graphics was painful. It's definitely getting there with the speed training, new target range and constant improvements to the course play.

wow that looks way better. Looking forward to this releasing. They still need to do a little work on the textures, the greens used are pretty average, and the tree models could use some love. Some additional models over the course would be nice too (rocks for example). The landscape mode not being a thing is silly and as a software developer, I can confirm it is not a big job to do at all.
Ok that's good to know! Lol 😂 I can't believe we don't have a constant landscape mode yet. I was thinking it must be a really hard thing to do.. I definitely agree with the extra trees and rocks and things. Awesome golf really do that well.. even the home tee hero stuff looks good with the trees and shrubs.

How much height do you have in your golf sim room?
Not enough 🤣 I am definitely clipping the roof with driver once a week.. I have 2.7m or just over 8ft 10 inches. I'm going to try and raise a section of it soon 🤞🤞

You can but I have heard it's really not good or reliable and that's what I would expect being a radar unit that sits behind.. you can pair it up with an exputt though using Springboks connector but honestly if you haven't bought it then there are better options if you're looking for home simulator device. The mevo plus is fantastic for full shots and the data and metrics you get for it are similar to trackman if you have all the additional paid subs.. also if you're going to take it to the range outside 50 percent of the time it makes sense. But if you're looking for a home Simulator device only I wouldn't recommend it.

There are plenty of alternative that do NOT require a $199 subscription.
Yes if you're looking to do speed training only there are definitely things you can use that are going to be more cost effective than this. But if you already have one it's a nice upgrade! 👍
It'll be interesting to see what you think of the EZ tee. I recently went from a hitting strip to the EZ tee Hybrid. I like it but it does make the green dust. I think that fat shots on the EZ tee feel more like fat shots on the course but the actual ball flight is more forgiving. I think the hitting strip was closer from a performance standpoint. The durability of the EZ Tee is pretty amazing. I also have a steep swing. After 3000+ hits, the EZ tee still looks like new. Thanks again for all the great content!
That's good to know! Yeah the durability is incredible... That's the one drawback I have from my hitting strip. It just isn't durable enough!!

Hi Joe. Great videos, I’ve done (hobbyist) video editing so I know how much work it is putting this stuff together. Top job. If you don’t mind me asking what, if any, protocols did you follow to quieten down that golfers elbow? Or was it just an impact injury that calmed down relatively quickly for you? I’ve been suffering with tendonapthy (in both elbows but my left is by far the worse affected) for a while down to gym work but also too much range practice off crap mats laid on concrete. I’m currently having to step back a bit from full swing training and concentrate on my short game to try and back it off a bit with some PT to help figure it out … wondering if you did anything specific?
I have a similar mat.I still put the soft foam under it . I dont have any elbow pain at all

The grey driving range is because it picked up when you rolled the ball onto the red dot as a shot, so the whole range became your dispersion circle. Thanks for the review

Been running the EZ Hybrid for about 2000 balls now and I can’t tell by looking at it. I also like that it punishes fat shots fairly well

@@mrserv0n18 We just don't have access to all the good mats here in Australia. Unfortunately a lot of them don't import here. We get a lot of Chinese turfs... This is the first time I've actually seen EZ Tee turf in Australia.
You should check out the Bullseye 3D hitting strip from Bullseye Golf. Very durable - no divoting on mine after 6 months. Good surface for sim putting.

They’re just cutouts of a cheap china made 3D hitting mat. I don’t know why they say they’re made in the USA when their pictures are the same ones from the Chinese factory

I hope it works out good for you. I use a strip i make with plexi glass. I feel it flexes to much. If i make a new strip im going to try a thicker piece of plexi so it doesnt flex or use something denser underneath.
Yeah potentially a slightly denser foam underneath would be better for you! I will say I absolutely LOVE my impact strip.. the only issue I had was the durability of the turf on top. I think the PERFECT solution would be the EZ Tee CAMO turf on top of my strip! So I get the best of both worlds. Unfortunately due to my ceiling height I can't really go any higher... And I know an inch doesn't sound like much but I'm already hitting the roof as it is. I will see how I go with just the turf. If I get the pain back I might need to look into making the hybrid model and then raising a section of my ceiling 😂

Bayside golf is awesome - Sam is super helpful and he carries quality stuff. I got my screen and enclosure from him and I couldn’t be happier.
Yeah it is absolutely the best in Australia! I can't recommend him enough to people looking for home simulators. The quality of his product is unmatched in Australia for the home user. And on top of that Sam is a really nice and honest guy!
