Im in the same boat. Have been running WGT via iPad to Skytrak. Looks like I need to migrate to gaming PC for GSPro. Roughly how much do u need to spend for that? Minimum RAM or graphics card requirement? Did you notice better connectivity/stability with PC? My ipad can be frustrating at times.

Thanks that's very useful. I found this connector didn't work for my pc, but on Discord I was directed to a different one which worked perfectly. Now up and running.

Hi,Mitch I have just tried the GS Pro software with my Skytrak unit.I was expecting great things from GS Pro after watching your and other video's.Sadly I was disappointed.The graphics quality was not great even though I have a 4k projector.I currently play TGC and found it superior in every department.It is expensive but you really do get what you pay for.

Ah I’m sorry to hear that, David. I must admit that when I first played GSPro after coming from TGC 2019, I felt the same and I was somewhat underwhelmed. However as time went by I found myself loading up GSPro each time I went in my sim. Each to their own and TGC is amazing piece of kit! Enjoy your sim and thanks for the comment 👍🏼⛳️

Looks really nice. Seems like gs pro doesnt have the same first bounce issue like tgc but the graphics seem better on tgc.

I would agree about the graphics. I haven’t had chance to play on GSPro yet but I believe there is no first bounce issue like in TGC. However someone has mentioned to me about the second bounce being very much like a billiards ball hitting the ground 😂

​@@hcpgolf Always hard to explain to people that the end result is determined before you see the animation of the bounce. My understanding is it's a "bad animation" not bad results. So the resting place of your ball is determined before you see the flight and animation.

Hey, great video. My unit sits close to my right wall. When I downloaded e6 when I set the line accurately I couldn’t actually see the right hand side of the fairway. It was so off putting that I didn’t bother with e6 or TGC2019. But this looks much better. I’m wondering have you had the same problem?

Not really. I do offset my centre line in TGC 2019 but it’s not to the extreme where I can’t see the right side of the fairway. I do need to offset my centre line on GSPro (I hadn’t done it in this video) I just haven’t figured out how to do it yet!

QUESTION: DOES SKYTRACK LM have swing data such as swing path and Angle of Attack (AOA)?

Thank you 👍🏼 GSPro updates automatically mate when you load it up (if there is a new update available). If you mean which SkyTrak version did I download - i followed the instructions in the description of this video - i'm not exactly sure which version that is. You can set gimmes/autoputt within the GSPro game settings 👍🏼

Interested to hear how it compares to TGC19. I’m pretty happy with TGC19 so don’t see myself switching at the moment

yes me too. I love tgc2019 and 8 am happy with it, but curiosity got me with GSPro so I am going to give it a try and I will make some comparisons over the next few weeks 👍🏻

Can you use multiple software on skytrak? For example, GSpro and Tgc19? Or would you have to uninstall one to run the other? Thanks.

Great video. Thanks for the information. I have heard that GS Pro has the best graphics. But looking at the TGC video you just did of Pebble just blew me away. How would you compare the graphics of the two? GS Pro is obviously a lower price point to get into but boy I was blow away by those TGC graphics. Please help! :)

I have to say that I love tgc 2019 and you will definitely be happy if you get that! the graphics are awesome and I really enjoy it and in my opinion I would say the graphics are better on tgc for sure. curiosity just got the better of me with GSPro and I’m intrigued to see how it eventually develops. but if you fancy tgc then go for it, I doubt you will be disappointed!

A lot of people think the graphics are better on TGC but what most don’t see is the limited amount of textures and colors being used in TGC vs GSPro. If you compare some of the newer courses coming out on GSPro and compare to TGC, it’s no contest that GSPro has better graphics. Add in 4K if your card and projector supports it and it’s much better. Of course, it’s a subjective view when looking at graphics. TGC is a pc game made to look good on a pc and then ported to sim. GSPro is made specifically for a sim. So keep that in mind as well. Which one really looks more real?

Any issues with the recent GSPro update? My update was available when I powered up yesterday, but I like to wait a week or so and let any bugs get worked out before installing…main concern is having to download another API patch🤷🏻‍♂️

I haven’t actually played on the latest GSPro update so I can’t comment on that yet unfortunately. If I do encounter any issues with the API then I’ll let you know 👍🏼

Hi we followed your step by step process and got far but at the end when we clicked on PGSimConnecter the slim window with orange box didn’t pop up. What should we do? Any ideas.

Thanks for the video. Thinking about moving from WGT to GS Pro. Question, what resolution are you using for your projector screen? I have a gaming PC in my office and plan to either use steam link or a wireless display adapter to stream GS pro from my PC to my projector in my garage. anyone have experience with that solution? I am using the Go Sports 7.8 x 6.8 feet screen, which seems similar to yours, so hoping i can fill more of the screen than my ipad current fills when I mirror it.

I have a custom resolution so that it fills most of my screen - you can set it using your graphics card software. I can’t think of the exact pixels it is off the top of my head. You can definitely do it though and it would look far better than your current iPad resolution. And on a side note, you will find GSPro so much better, realistic & more enjoyable that WGT!

Hi Mitch. Sorry if this has been asked before but am I right in thinking I can download GsPro using the basic skytrak plan. I have a new skytrak and have only got it on the basic plan it came with. Do I need to buy one of the other plans like the improvement plan etc to be able to play GSPro. I know you need do for TGC2019 but I’m hearing there is no need for this for GSPro? Cheers buddy.

Well I finally finished building my golf sim but I haven't purchased GSPro yet. Right now I'm just getting used to my setup and the SkyTrak. I've been having tons of trouble with the SkyTrak in network mode, keeps disconnecting, so I am using it in USB mode. I may fix my problem by adding an network extender, only a guess, but I haven't purchased one yet. Now on to my question.... To run GSPro on my SkyTrak in USB mode, do I need to do anything different to set it up and/or to run it?

No you don’t need to do anything different in usb mode. I actually always use my SkyTrak in sub mode and have no problems.

Any suggestions on how to putt from the fringe? My sky track doesn’t register my putts when I’m on the fringe.

The putting is ok I find - not had any issues with it. It’s not as realistic as real life putting but it’s still very good. I’m sure someone will figure out a workaround for the new SkyTrak to work with GSPro 👍🏼

Hi Mitch, been using GSPRO with my Garmin R10 for a few weeks now and its great. Im using a pretty old gaming laptop to run it (i7 with a GTX950M graphics card) and it runs it on the very high setting no problem. Keep up the good work!

It’s absolutely the best software out there for sim golf. E6 is an absolute joke and it’ll burn a hole in your wallet. GSP listens to their community and it’s getting better by the day!

No GIP needed. Works on basic plan. Added bonus.

I’m waiting for my Skytrak plus unit to arrive, there is a rumour on the Skytrak forum that Skytrak have blocked GS pro for the new Skytrak plus. I wanted to download GS pro on my gaming laptop as I believe it’s the best simulation option.

HI , I have just purchased a Skytrak and looking to install GS pro , so hoping it still works? One other question is retrieving the latest GSpro file that enables this to work off of the discord page. I have joined discord but can't seem to find the SGT server anywhere and want to get the files all together before I go ahead and purchase.

I've watched you video a few times and I have a couple questions before I buy GSPro. 1. I bought and setup my SkyTrak about a week ago, not SkyTrak+, and was wondering if I had to go through this process in the video every time I want to log into GSPro or do I just run GSPro and that's it? 2. Besides the $250 annual subscription fee with GSPro, do I have to pay some sort of subscription fee to SkyTrak also to run GSPro?

You have to turn on your SkyTrak, load GSPro, then load the API Connector and then you should be good to go. You can run GSPro on the free version of SkyTrak so you don't need to subscribe to any of their extra packages 👍🏼⛳️

This happens to me sometimes, I just keep turning off the SkyTrak then reloading the API v1. Eventually it works but it can be frustrating. Have you tried asking the discord group? They are excellent at troubleshooting discord.gg/nVzGZx4g

Yes you can play offline. You just need to be online each time you load up GSPro and every time you wish to download/play a new course. Once the game is loaded and you have your courses downloaded there is no need for an internet connection (unless you wish to play online of course)

Anyone run into difficulties getting gspro to accept the switch between left handed and right handed? E6 connect and the skytrak software work without issues but gspro not so much. It flashes like its going to change but then doesn't. If you have and know a workaround please let me know!

I've done the install of this a couple months ago and it worked fine. I turned my skytrak on today to play after awhile of being away and it didn't connect. It's getting stuck, here: STEP 5: Enjoy! Once the red bar (on the API V1 Connect) above turns green, your skytrak is connected and ready to go.... the bar doesn't ever go green..... any ideas???

Hi mate. This does happen to me occasionally as well. What I tend to do is just keep restarting everything and turning my SkyTrak on/off and eventually for whatever reason it will connect. I’m sure there is a more efficient way to correct this so if anyone reads this comment and is aware of how to fix this please let us know! 🙂

@mitch do you find the yardages on GSpro are a bit weaker than the skytrak app?

I did at first, but the more I have used GSPro I haven't noticed it as much. It may have something to do with your lie angles (numbers at the bottom of the screen. For example if you have an uphill lie on GSPro the ball wont travel as far just like in real life.

I dont have API v1 as one of the options. I have 3 others but not that one. And when I run PGSimConnector, it does not do anything and Rhapsody does not pop up. Can someone please help?

Hello Mitch, I successfully used this procedure for connecting my GSPro to my 1st generation SkyTrak. However, after purchasing the new SkyTrak Plus, I could not get it to work. I kept getting the error that “no boxes found.” It appears that the new SkyTrak Plus unit was not detected during the attempt to make a connection. Can you assist me in reconnecting my GSPro to the new SkyTrak. Thanks

Hi mate, unfortunately I do not think you can use the new SkyTrak+ with GSPro. Not yet anyway. As I don’t believe anyone has made software that can connect it to GSPro.

Hi mate. The ST+ doesn’t fully work with GSPro yet unfortunately. You can use it still, but you can’t putt - you just have to play using autoputt. There is a different connection method when using the ST+ compared to the original SkyTrak. If you join the STVision Discord here discord.gg/QCkhm5pe then have a read through the support there it explains how to connect and also the correct files to download. Good luck 👍🏼⛳️

I have been on there and tried to download the files from what the discord was telling me but when you got to put the files onto the SkyTrak files the computer is blocking me from doing that maybe it’s because I got nortons security installed I’m not sure ain’t got a clue very frustrating as it’s my first time with a sim and gone all out with the equipment and can’t play 😫.

I don't suppose anyone has a link or any info to a similar process that allows you to use GSPro with a Mevo+? I've heard that this is possible now, I am not having much luck figuring out how

Im having issues connecting my skytrak to gspro. Does the skytrak have to be in network mode or direct mode? The link in your video is different to the one on discord. I've tested bith but no joy. Any suggestions?

I don’t think it particularly matters. I always keep mine in direct mode but I’m sure others will use network mode. Have you tried asking in the discord group? They are usually excellent at troubleshooting. If anyone else reads this comment and know an answer it would be great if you could help 🙂👍🏼

Apparently you don’t, you can just run with the basic package. I haven’t tried this out personally but have been told from a few subscribers that it works 👍🏼

Do you know a fix for why PGSimConnector isn’t opening? I know i’m clicking the right one but it just won’t open. I do notice that the light on the OpenAPI thing does turn green for a few moments and turns off, and yes I did let the software open.

Turn in SkyTrak, load up GSPro and wait until the bar is red, then load up your API. This should work in that order. Make sure your SkyTrak software is NOT running in the background 👍🏼

Yes I would guess so, I have the 1650 super and it runs GSPro pretty smoothly 👍🏼

Struggling to get Skytrak connected, can you confirm the order of actions to take? Turn on Stytrak first? Launch GSpro, the click on the PGSImconnector file?, then click on APIv!Connect...I get green light on GSpro but 'waiiting for LM to connect' continues to appear....help..Any step by step instructions. New to discord but struggling to find my way around it..

I should say after following step by step instructions again(correctly I think), after clicking on PGsimconnector, I don’t get the next screen, I did notice the API screen flash very quickly ‘client connected’ but then this disappears and revert back, then nothing! Seems it won’t launch for some reason..

Yes it is 3 years old and hasn't been updated since release, but it is extremely good and people are still hopeful that one day there may be some sort of update 😂

Yes it is still working! I’m not sure about windows 11 but I’m sure I read that there are some know issues with windows 11. Have you joined the discord group and asked in there? They are usually great at troubleshooting! Or if anyone is reading this on here it would be great if you could help out!

I always have my SkyTrak in USB mode 👍🏼

Can someone that is a little more tech savvy tell me if my GTX 960 FTW would work for GS Pro?

I’m not 100% sure but if you go to the Userbenchmark website and compare your graphics card with mine (1650super) it should give you an idea of how yours will perform compared to my videos

Yes you have to unzip the files that you download from the link in the description 👍🏼

No you can use the basic (free) version 👍🏼

My pop up for API version 1 doesn't look like the one in the video. I only have 3 options...simple control...open...API open...in lower right (I might be off with the wording, but it's something like that). In any event, I can't get my Skytrak to connect and the PGSimconnector won't launch for me. Thought I was OK tech wise, guess I'm a moron...

I have a new MSI gaming laptop with windows 11 and the app is NOT COMPATIBLE. I went through all the safety protocols and could not get it to work... I am very upset that it is not able to work. I even purchased the gspro software and was so very excited to play. But just my luck that it does not work...

That’s not cool. Have you got a refund from GSPro? They give you 7 days apparently to ask for a full refund

@@hcpgolf NO I have not asked for one yet, my daughter has an older laptop that I may try to use and see if that may work. Thank you for the reply, and I will let you know if I was able to get it going or not. But thank you for the video so I could at least try it.

@@jasonbarth4140 I have it loaded and running on Windows 11, but the API "PGSimConnector.exe" will not load. Is that what you can't get to load? Or is it the GSPro software?

GSPro is $250 annual subscription. You do not need a SkyTrak subscription to use GSPro.

Yes you can. However you wont get any future updates if you buy the lifetime licence

No, there are 2 different connection links. The one you used wouldn’t work for me. I would unzip it and then try to open and no go. The other one did work for me though. I used the one that says v1.8

Do you know if this still works on GSPro V2?

@@hcpgolf Not working for me...DOwnloaded the GSpro connect but dont have API V1 as an option...Only Open API....Once I choose that and have my sytrack connected I open the Device Interfact and nothing happens...Doesnt even open
