Great Video. Thanks for making this, always good to see how others get my putting app to work. Just two remarks. Initially when you tried to get the putt to show shorter you should have increased the radius by 1, that is why you needed to go back to it. Smaller radius of the ball will lead to the distance travelled calculated as bigger thus making the putt faster/travel further in GSPRO. Also if you want to close out the settings windows just hit "a" and "d" again. Closing the window on the d - debug settings window will close out the whole app, it is a bug.

Should the app toggle the radius by itself whenever the putt is short/long instead of playing with the radius? Dynamic settings would be a good addition! I'm trying to figure out the best camera setup now because we have left/right handed players. I have setup an IP camera and it works great but I need to figure out why it's not putting in gspro now 😅

@@bv.hd883 The radius should be set/fixed once and then work with shorter and longer putts once "calibrated". It is dynamic also for initial calibration if you have good detection and should only be fixed if you see any changes or it does not fit your expected speed in the room.

In the settings.json file, there are 2 lines for width and height. Modify it and save.

I'm just making the switch to GS pro and am wanting to get it right the first time. wonding what camera would be good. I want to mount it to ceiling or wall. I was hoping to NOT have it on a stand or so close.

Yes. Calibrate in the lighting you will be using during play.

For your increased sidespin scale factors, I noticed that in the json you have a 1.3x multiplier for both spin axis and side spin. However, the gsp-r10 adapter source code shows that both sidespin and backspin are dependent on spin axis. Does this mean you are multiplying by 1.3x on both spin axis and sidespin, or are they independent? Otherwise this 1.3 operation would be applied twice since SpinAxis is a variable in the SideSpin equation, and the total spin being the sum of backspin and sidespin would be too high if backspin was left unaffected. In another way of asking it, wouldn't setting spinAxis to 1.3 also modify the sidespin (and backspin) value so you wouldn't have to change the scale factor also on SideSpin? Your executable doesn't have the source, so I thought I would ask before I spun my wheels trying to guess how you got these factors to multiply into the ball data. Thanks again, I appreciate your setup video for the putting webcam and all of the work you have put into getting the most out of the r10.

Great video. But I have an issue when I’m setting up things. After running the ball tacking application, I get a message in the command window at the end (replay cam not activated). Also, I’m able to go through the setup for the golf ball for putting. The weird thing is that no numbers showing up for the X, Y and Radius. Not sure what I’m doing wrong. Any help would be great!

I was able to get around the ‘Replay Cam not activated’ but updating the config file for the cam settings from 0 to 1. Now the ball tracking app starts stating the Replay Cam activated at 1’. But right after that the ‘Trackback’ fails to execute script ‘ball_tracking’ due to unhandled exception! Not sure what to do to fix this issue. The webcam I’m using is on the list of approved camera (Logitech c270). Does anyone have any suggestions?

Fsx play has nothing to do with gspro. You need an r10, gspro, and the interface call me on Monday and ill do it for you.

Have you made the enhanced spin connector available in general somewhere? If not could I get it as well ?

I haven't been able to get the putting add-on to show up in GSPro. I've gotten it to work by opening ball-tracker.exe, but I can't get it to open when using GSPro. I have all of the files in what I think are the correct places and I have the settings file setup correctly. There's obviously something I'm missing though. Thanks for any help.

Not sure if it's the same on iphone but in the settings file I had to change webcamIndex to 1, and after additionalExeArgs put -w 1 in the quotes.

best r10 putting video on you tube but i still need a little help. Camera working and putting calculations are being made but data not getting to gspro. Changed config json putting from false to true and putter selected in gsp. Last line on ball tracking screen says new connection error, target machine actively refused it. am i using the wrong bluetooth r10 connect ?? thanks

Picture showed up for a few minutes, could not save any settings. After a few more minutes could not access advanced settings by pushing A, now can’t get webcam to work in any slot (works perfect in system camera) got everything set up until GsPro was connected, didn’t work then returned to no settings no picture nothing.

Why does my putting simulator view keep playing a loop rather than live view?

Can I mount the webcam on the ceiling or behind (like the R10) for both right and left handed people? How close to the ball does the webcam need to be? Thanks!

It's going to depend on the camera and lighting. I've had best luck at about 5 ft but it could be higher if the lighting is good

I've managed to make it work. The only thing is that if eg on gspro gspro chooses a wedge and I press U i get a putting view window with an error written in red. Everything still works but i get this darn window. The other putting view window is also still on there. Thanks for the video. Wanted to give us a call but not too sure where you're in the states. But time difference with Australia. ​@@roxorgolf

Any update for this? Couple of things I've noticed. 1. long putts are impossible. It never reads the hit 2. I can't use my blue mizuno putter (not a problem though) 3. I get a lot of non-reads unless it's a short putt. Maybe I'm missing something?

I was able to connect by changing the camera index and turning off my laptop camera. However, it cannot find the camera again after restaring my laptop. I tried to change the camera index, but did not work at all. I can open my camera from other tools, but not from the putting API.

@@roxorgolf thanks for your answer, it was a windows problem. windows update solved the problem. but now i have another problem. the balltracking software recognizes everything perfectly and i also see that my putts are recognized. but as soon as i want to putt with gspro on the green i get an error that the webcam index 0 is not correct. i have tried all webcam indexes up to 8. always the same error only the number in the index changes. i use a pc with a usb webcam. Many thanks in advance Andi

I'm just now trying to setup my webcam to link to GS Pro and my GArmin R10. I have GS Pro running great, but the added link to connect the webcam only picks up the laptop's camera not the webcam with a usb cable. Do you have a link to the software to accomplish this or is there a setting that needs to be change. Thanks
