Thank you for all you info, I'm a heavy researcher before jumping in and your videos are helping me lots to decide what hardware to use for my simulator build. As for your disconnection issues, have your tried using everything through a 2.4Ghz wireless network. I find alot of things are finicky using 5Ghz networks. I thought I'd mention it. 🙂

Thanks mate I really appreciate that and being a heavy researcher myself I'm happy to help!!! So since pairing it up to my wifi extender in my garage I have had no issues! And that's on the 5hz network but I'll definitely keep that in mind if I get any disconnects in the future!

Hey mate yes I'm absolutely sure it can be done it would just be convincing the developer to integrate it into their connector.. your best bet would be to jump on the GitHub page and contact the developer through there.

My MLM2Pro is arriving today and this is going to be my first experience with a home sim. Do you mind providing a quick overview as to the major differences between the Rapsodo software vs the GSPro please? I see the sim courses are much better on GSPro, but am curious if there is anything else that I might be overlooking to warrant the GSPro subscription. Thanks!

Hey mate so if you’re looking to have a home simulator experience where you’re playing golf then you need GS Pro. It’s about the courses but just as much about the in game physics and with all the software I’ve tried so far nothing beats GS Pro. If you’re just looking to work on your shot shape and swing then the Rapsodo software is acceptable. If you only have a mobile device then I highly recommend you check out Awesome Golf.. its a great software that I use a lot with my Garmin and Rapsodo. Good luck with the MLM2PRO and definitely reach out if you need any help getting connected to GS Pro. Cheers

Bit confused, as a macbook pro/ipad user will this work? I see you selected Ipad as an option in this but it was all managed from a windows interface...can this all be managed from a macbook pro on a stand out in the garden with the MLM2Pro or does i need windows PC to be the main server? Thanks

I’ve been using the connector for about a month now and love it, but I still get some misreads on the connector itself. This most common one is the spin being read with an extra zero. Is there a best practice so the connector always reads mlm2pro data correctly such as making sure AirPlay is set to 1080p or having the boxes set at a certain size?

Hey Ryan unfortunately no just make sure you're on the most recent update. Springbok did reach out to Rapsodo and asked them to move the letters like mph, rpm or whatever next to the numbers so that with the connector it would only have numbers and it would work flawlessly but unfortunately they said no 😭

Joe, when you are playing a GSPro golf course and range are you able to achieve accurate yardage with your driver, 3 wood, hybrids? Using the Rapsodo range my driver carry distance is about 20 - 30 short of my real distance as I am hitting into a net. Irons are fairly accurate for the most part. Second question is trying to make a decision if the current version of GS Pro will be rewarding over the long term if I commit to the Lifetime plan at $550. With Lifetime you get no updates but do you have access to new golf courses added to the software? Great presentation as usual. Currently working on Stack and Tilt and the Rapsodo MLM2 Pro has been invaluable in viewing my swing plane as well as providing critical data feedback.

Thanks mate appreciate the comments. Yes all my yardages are accurate including driver, 3 wood and hybrid. I wonder if it has anything to do with the net and the higher ball speeds with those clubs. So for me I’ve just done the yearly subscription option because they just keep improving it so rapidly.. GS Pro is actually very young and I do think its going to still get a lot better. For now ill personally still get the yearly subscription. Yes I do believe that with the annual sub you will get everything then the lifetime you will still get new courses but you wont have access to online play, tournaments and any new updates to the software.

They also confirmed you still receive updated courses but it is disappointing to hear you lose online play which is one option I was looking forward to playing. Will probably go with the basic 1yr. subscription first and see where my interest lies. Great content Joe.

Question, do I need to start in Version 1 and move to each version or can I start with Version 3. For some reason I’m not getting the “Really Clean interface” that pops up for you. I get the original screen that tells you to hit one shot, etc. Once I hit enter after the shot is asks me about my ROI for ball speed, & spin rate. Then that box clears the screen and nothing happens.

Thanks for the video. I think its time to buy GSpro (currently using AG). I am in Australia and i wanted to ask, is it possible to buy direct from US ? It seems that it would be cheaper to buy directly from the website rather than a reseller out in Australia, thankyou !

one question, since you use the rapsodo range to mirror it to gs pro at the range you have to change your clubs each time you hit another one how so you do with that? if you are playing a hole at gs pro you should go inside the range to change the club each time you have to hit a ball at gspro? or it doesnt matter? for example you have selected the driver at the rapsodo range you start the hole at gspro hit the driver and then you have to use another club lets say a seven iron should i go back to the rapsodo app to change the club? or the metrics are always the same even if you dont change the prefered club for each shot?

Hey mate that's a great question. So you don't need to change clubs in the Rapsodo app as the data is still good and the club selection doesn't affect the data in any way. The only reason you might want to select the clubs in the Rapsodo app is for your own data within the Rapsodo app.. but to get around this just make a club in your bag and call it GS Pro and then it won't affect any of the data in your Rapsodo app with any of your clubs.

Thanks for the great videos Joe as I try to decide which Launch monitor I want to buy. I have watched a lot of your videos. Now that Rhapsodo can connect to GSPRO, I have a question about subscriptions. MLM 2 Pro requires a sub for $199, and GSPro $250 If I use this device would I need to subscribe to both making it an extra $450 a year? What's going to be the best launch monitor to use with GSPro that would not require the yearly subs? Thanks!

Yes unfortunately you have to subscribe to both. Without a shadow of a doubt the best unit you can get to use with GS Pro that has no yearly subscriptions is the foresight GC2!! Hands down.. that unit is incredible even though it's really old.

Can you answer a specific question about GS Pro? We are using the Rapsodo with Awesome Golf; and we get occasional disconnects. We have NEVER been able to complete 9 holes without a disconnect. I could live with that, but we have to completely restart the golf round in awesome golf. Can you clarify whether or not GS Pro saves your round progress (either at the specific stroke, or at least at the hole start) and supports resuming where you were before the disconnect?

Hey mate yes you can save your round in progress however as GS Pro is running separately to everything in this case if you did have a disconnect you could just connect up again and keep playing so the app wont crash on you if that makes sense.

Would this connector work with TGC19 software . And also are you thinking to review TGC19 ever which I believe has better graphics than any other software out there despite that it is from 2019 . It looks much more brushed....

Hey mate no I don't think so I'm not really sure how TGC19 works and if they have an open API connector that you could plug this into. Also it would take the developer to want to make it work. To me I think TGC19 looks beautiful but the overall physics and price point of GS Pro is better. Not only that TGC19 is kind of a dead or dying software.. I don't think there is any support for it anymore. It's still fantastic software though! But for the price for me it's just not worth it.

It looks quite a bit more delayed from hitting the ball to displaying ingspro compared to other setups. How have you found it to be?

Hey Matthew yes this is going to be the case with this type of connector because it is essentially taking a screenshot of the data when it first appears in the air play window and then feeding it in to GS Pro. When its working nicely there isn’t too much of a delay.. there is the same maybe slightly less of a delay than the skytrak to be honest which isn’t too bad. It’s definitely not as snappy as say the Uneekor or GC2 even the Garmin r10 for that matter but its not too bad.

Love your videos Joe! Have you connected GSPro with your android yet or have a video tutorial yet. I noticed you mentioned that you had an issue initially with your android phone and the ronin connector. Reason i ask is that i have no connection issues with my android, but apple devices drop connection with mlm2. I would like to know that the connector works with android prior to purchasing a gaming laptop and gspro. Also does gspro have a free trial version. Thanks

Hey mate so GS Pro doesn't have a free trial but they do offer a refund within a week I believe but there is a restocking fee to do this if around $20 from memory... It's on their website. This is just to stop people doing free trials all the time with new emails. I haven't tried to do it on my android phone again! I will look into it. The issue was the actual android phone version of the app that got rid of the ability to see more data fields. I'm not sure if this is back yet but I'll check it out and get back to you. Cheers

Hi Joe, have you noticed any lost yardage through this connector. I'm losing about 30 yards on drives and down a club on irons. I'm not sure if it's my settings in gs pro or rapsodo. Any tips?

Hey Terry that's very odd... No it's worked flawlessly for me I'm getting the same yardages I always was. So the carry distance from the Rapsodo range to GS Pro is where you're losing your distance? Have you got the Rapsodo range set at a different elevation?

Hey mate you need to match the licence to your launch monitor. However if you have a LM that isn't officially supported like the Rapsodo for instance you need the open API licence.

Yes the new range there is an issue for tablets and also iPads.. Springbok is working on a fix for this. The connector at the moment I recommend using a phone as the numbers are bigger and the connector can read it correctly. Cheers

Do you need to change your club on the Rapsodo range to match the one you’re hitting each time? Or can you just leave Rapsodo range alone running in the background?

Hey mate no you dont need to do anything with the Rapsodo app just leave it running in the background. The only reason you might want to change it in the Rapsodo app is for data keeping. What you can do though is create a new club that isn't actually in your bag and just call it GS Pro and use that when playing GS Pro so then all your other data isn't getting skewed in the Rapsodo app. Cheers

So I am using android phone and Lenovo laptop but connector will not connect said I needed easycast installed before it would work and it said it was but did not display anything

Have you got easy cast installed on your phone as well as your laptop? On your phone it's just in the Google Play store on the laptop it will be in the windows store

Hey mate they do have the minimum recommended requirements on their website under the FAQ section. The main thing you will need to figure out is how you want to run it.. 1080p? 4K? Then from there you can use their guidance to figure out what laptop you need. Definitely join the Facebook group if you are still struggling and people will be able to help out there.

Hey Todd so GS Pro is in my opinion the best home simulator software out there. The MLM2PRO isn't officially supported as Rapsodo didn't make them an official partner. What GS Pro does is it allows people to build their own connectors so you can use unofficial launch monitors with GS Pro. These connectors are community built and are only as good or updated as much as the developer wants to do so. The guy who created the connector for the MLM2PRO is a great guy and is regularly updating it and making improvements. To get this working you need to buy the GS Pro licence (the Open API) and you also need the Rapsodo subscription. Hope that helps!

Hey mate I'm pretty sure it's just an iOS and Android application. Unless there is a way to get iOS applications on MacBooks I'm not sure sorry. To me I would say no I believe it's just iOS and Android.

Does anyone have the problem with GSPro just reading the same shot over and over again? It seems I hit one shot and the software just keeps sending that same shot down the range over and over again. Anyone with any fixes on this?

That's very odd. It only does that for me if I change anything on the iPad screen so for instance if I change clubs it will send the same data through. The way the software works is that it will be constantly taking screenshots of the data and if it sees any changes to the screen anywhere it will send the data though. So if you change clubs for instance it sees a change and then re sends the data. Maybe try uninstall and reinstalling the most recent connector. Cheers

I can get everything connected, but the GS PRO isn't reading the golf shots. The MLM2PRO is reading it, but it's not being transferred to GS PRO. Everything says it's connected (green line etc), but the Open API says "not ready" any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Hey mate have you got the 4 green check lights? You should have connected then 2 columns over the device you're using iPad or iPhone in green, airplay in green and then I think connected in green. If that's working then try and reset the GS Pro connector the open API one from the settings. Is your data coming through into the airplay window when you're screen mirroring to your PC?

@JLagGOLF I got the 4 green lights but when I would hit a shot the MLM2Pro would register the shot but it wouldn't transfer to GSPro. I got it to work on 3 shots today but I think the issue is either the Screencast app (for Android to windows PC) OR the internet signal.

@@hoktonfonx Ok that's interesting it might be an android thing with the easy cast app. The best thing to do would be to reach out to Springbok through the GitHub page or better yet through the FB group. I'll ask him if he has any answers as well and get back to you. I'll also see if I can get it working as well over the next few days. I just use my iPad as its easier for me than using my phone but ill switch it up and see what I get.

@@JLagGOLF . Thanks for the follow up. I broke down and purchased a mevo+ (should arrive today) and will be building an outdoor net/simulator that's more stable than what I have right now. I just put a hole through the previous hitting net (and into my neighbors backyard, lol). The issue seems to be that easycast isn't updating from the Android/MLM2PRO after each shot. The MLM2PRO registers the shot, but it never shows up on GSPRO.

What's the mlm2pro like with chipping now?

Interesting how so many people still have issues with the internet connection. I havent had any major connection issue from my phones(Android and IOS). I do have problem with not reading my shots sometimes tho..

Yes it's definitely concerning that everyone is having different issues... that's what concerns me.. if it was all consistent connectivity issues across the board then I think it would be easier for Rapsodo to diagnose and address. As it is there are so many people experiencing different things which I can imagine is a bit of a nightmare situation for Rapsodo. Fix it for some people and then it breaks for others 😭

I am using Bitdefender on my PC, everytime I try to download the springbok driver it deletes the file as a virus, anyone else had this problem.?

I'm not tech saavy, so I just want to make sure I understand this. You're running the GS Pro software on a computer, mirroring it through an iPad, that is connected to the MLM2Pro, correct?

So this connector kind of... So you run GS Pro software on your gaming PC, connect the iPad or phone to your MLM2PRO and then screen cast that to the same computer you have have GS Pro running on. Then you use the connector to capture the data from that screen capture image and it puts it in to the GS Pro world. However! There is a new connector that is much more simple and connects your MLM2PRO directly to your computer and eliminated the need for the other device and screen casting.
