GOT Cover "Jenny of Oldstones" The Dark Side Of The Moon REACTION & ANALYSIS by Vocal Coach
One of the only good things to come from Season 8 of Game Of Thrones was Podrick singing a song by the fire right before the battle of the Battle of Winterfell. Melissa Bonny has put together an all star cast to bring a metal flare to this folk song, with harsh vocals covered by her arresting clean singing just had me captivated!
Join professional opera singer Elizabeth Zharoff, as she listens to The Dark Side Of The Moon for the first time, performing "Jenny Of Oldstones” .

I think the representation of white dress vs black dress is Jenny of Oldstones/ The ghost of High Heart from the books. Mostly book readers will understand the reference.
I'd really love seeing a video from you reacting to an original Florence & The Machine song. She has such a gorgeous voice and gives me goosebumps everytime.

Please review their Lord of the Ring's, Enya's May It Be cover, please please please! Melissa and Charlotte totally killed it, the vocal harmonies and background growls, I cry everytime I listen to it! It's so beautiful!
Wow. Wow. Wow. I didn't expect to be brought to tears, but the ending broke me. Absolutely stunning. I will be seeking out more Melissa Bonny, I didn't want her to stop singing either!!
Hey Elizabeth :) Let's come straight to the point: no one as ever reacted to 'Hear n' Aid - Stars' from 1985 which features (kind of) everybody from the 80ies metal scene - from Dio to Rob Halford, Geoff Tate and Yngwie Malmsteen. Best collab that is out there! I am sure you would absolutely love it :)

Aaahhhhh !!!!! I’ve been waiting so long for this reaction !!! Yeeeeesss !!!
Melissa is fantastic. I think I first heard her with Evenmore and there was undeniable talent. She's gotten better with each project.
Hi Elizabeth, this is my first time listening to this song, and I loved the performance. This powerful and enchanting song was mesmerizing, especially when Melissa and the harpist are performing together in the intro/outro. The band was also impressive and Melissa's growls were surprising and amazing. Thank you, Elizabeth!!! 💙
I have found so many new artists to listen to through your channel including this group. Thank you!
I just wanted to say thanks for turning me on to some bands I hadn't taken a leap on with these videos. And I absolutely love seeing your reactions to all this music. It's always awesome to see others geek out over their passions.
Thx E for such a great January weekend with such a enriching review and the teatime interview. Melissa really rocks!

Just listened to the recommended original video - to be prepared for the premiere. I must admit, I didn't know the name Melissa Bonny up to now and I am happy you introduced her to me! Wow, Amazing! It blew out my rusty mind! Beatiful art in every aspect!
Another beautifully enthusiastic reaction, Elizabeth. Melissa Bonny is one of my favourite singers. I first encountered her versatility when she was with Rage of Light. I think this might be the most I've seen so far of her tender side.
Elizabeth Zharoff is a huge nerd she hears harsh vocals and she thinks is that night king I'm loving it
I just bought the latest "ad infinitum" vinyl and i will definitive buy the "dark side of the moon" one whenever it comes. Hearing that Floor Jansen is Melissas idol, nothing can go wrong. When talent meets work attitide success is guaranteed. These vinyls will be priceless in 20 years as "early Melissa Bonny pieces".
7:44 The journey of facial expressions you go on should have earned you skymiles.
Was waiting for this one since your video about Warriors of the World united by Feuerschwanz.😆 Such a beautyful song. Have listened to this song about a couple hundred times...but you pointed out things I still didn't notice. Thank you so much for your take on this. I always learn a lot from your videos 🥰
Love Jenny of Oldstones and everything else Melissa is involved with! She is amazingly talented! Elizabeth, I love your reactions and analyses too! If you haven't been asked yet, would you react to videos of a new Italian symphonic metal band Nocturna? "New Evil" and "Daughters Of The Night". Both Grace Darkling and Rehn Stillnight are amazing vocalists! Thanks! :)
I first heard Melissa on Rage of Light's "Mechanicals" and it remains one of my favorite metal songs ever... it is SO GOOD! Shame she's not part of that project anymore.

Such a cool video, saw it when it first came out didn't realize I hadn't watched this reaction
That conclusion took the words straight out of my mouth.
Oh my god... I just found out about Melissa like a month or two ago but only like past few days I started really paying attention to her and when looking for her songs I found you did not only reaction but also interview with her. What a great job you are doing! Edit: But seriously, anytime I am like "damn I love this singer" you are like:"I got you, bro"
Hi, Elizabeth! Great pick and review. Keep 'em coming ;-).
Pod the Rod 💪🏽. This song is fantastic (added to by the lore behind it all), and I'm in love with the story itself.
Really enjoyed this. Melissa's ability to flip between vocal styles, is pretty impressive. Melissa reminds me so much of a Canadian vocalist, Loreena McKennitt, particularly on McKinnitt's album, "The Visit". If you have never heard of her, give a listen as I think you might appreciate her vocal style.
Can't go wrong with Melissa! Great reaction. Sending you love from Guatemala.

When you said "Dark Side of the Moon" I got excited. Then I realized you didn't mean what I thought you meant. I think I just gave away that I am old.
The character in white is portrayed by Jenny the harpist of Feuershwanz so yeahhhh and i think the vocals are related to her being a ghost that interacts with Jenny
Oh sh*t... the chorus with screams.. gives me the chills!! She is remarkable! The entire band are phenomenal!
“The ones who’ve been gone for so very long”. Gives me chills everytime!

Great video, thank you so much! When it comes to GoT-Covers, my absolute favorite is still the "Suite & Rains of Castamere" performed by The Danish National Symphony Orchestra (LIVE). If you would do reaction video to this, I would hang up a giant poster of you over my bed like a teenage boy, and I am 47, lol!

Not gonna lie that performance and the acting in the video totally made me tear up. That was amazing.

I always love your expression when a woman hits you with harsh vocals unexpectedly.
As soon as she started screaming I thought of Lauren Babic 😂 girls who can rock both!
I love, Melissa I love Hanz,I love game of thrones and I love the charismatic voice so awesome video.
Hey, Elizabeth, I got a couple of recomendations I think you'll find interesting. First there's Epica with Unchain Utopia from Omega Alive, it's one of her best performances ever and the stage set up is insane. Also, Celtic Woman's Going Home. It has one wonderful violinist, two amazing sopranos with very different tone qualities and a contralto doing incredible ornaments
So glad I recently watched GoT season 8 because I knew to click this!
Wow.... wat a sick as cover or tribute really good... the guitar drums vocals 👌
Omg that scream is so 😍
Did I finally hear Amaranthe mentioned? When are we gonna get a reaction video for them... or any of Elyse Ryd's works? 😁

I do love this song!
omg I love this song
You are amazing😍
Great reaction! Ichkeria!
I commented one Melissa what I think she can become not only the Metal world in Elizabeths face to face interview, which definitely everybody that loves this reaction should watch. Here I just like to point a revalation that only came to me today. Dark Side of the Moon is accidental side Project triggered by Melissa and Hans of Feuerschwanz that started out of a silly dare and the line up is Melissa and her fiancee (the drummer, also know for his work with Amaranth) and Hans the Upright (or better Hans Platz) on guitar and Miu Mieze or Jenny Diehl on harp (both of the latter from Feuerschwanz). It took almost 3 months from me to realize that Jenny played the role of Jenny of Oldstone in the music video. Very clever by them very stupid by me to realize so late that Jenny literally is Jenny here :P
so much fun :)
can't wait to see Melissa Bonny with Ad Infinitum live in november!
Singer: *makes a sound* Elizabeth: "Tee hee hee!!" Hahaha
Suggestion: 2009 Land of Hope and Glory, Sarah Cononley, Last Night of the Proms.
Hey, yeah yeah...... she is gorgeous and sound like someone really special, but PLEASE don´t forget the incredible sound of the BAND.
I love Melissa, love Hans and all the other members. I love the song too, but you knew that
Hi Elizabeth. I love your reactions and your voice. I've never asked for a specific voice or song to be reacted by anyone, but seeing that London Grammar are not to be found here, I must beg, please, please, please, listen and react to London Grammar Wicked Game. Any song or cover done by London Grammar is an amazing experience alone, but this one is special. Hannah has an amazing voice, which I think is underrated.

I'm excited I've only found your station or channel about 3 or 4 days ago and I was wondering if you ever had critique or listen to Pink Floyd's dark side of the Moon so this should be very interesting to me that's one of my most favorite songs by Pink Floyd actually it's the first 8 track I ever bought ❤️
It would be cool to hear you sing this acapella. And then react to it wonderfully explaining the technique. Or better yet have one of your guests react to you.
Can we just take second and value Morten's hard work pounding the beep out of his drum kit....? 👌
I'm not sure if you've had anyone else suggest Infected Rain, or if you've heard of them, but you should really give them a listen. Their new album dropped yesterday. However, I think you should give "Endless Stairs" or "Mold" off their album 86 a listen first. Lena, the vocalist, is someone I believe would make a really good interview. She's a talented lyricist, supreme harsh and clean vocalist and one of the sweetest, most positive people I've ever seen. The entire band is platinum level.

You should do Bat out of hell by Meat Loaf!!! If you look at his childhood his father beat him and almost killed him once. he also called him Meat Loaf as a child and it's like a big middle finger to his father. You don't get much more rock n roll than that!

I love your reactions so much! After I discovered you, I started listening to other reactors but none of them compare to you! You are so genuine and give great analysis and I appreciate it! I was hoping maybe you could delve into Avenged Sevenfold next! “M.I.A.” from the City of Evil Album, “Buried Alive” from Nightmare, “I Won’t See You Tonight” pt 1&2 from Waking the Fallen and “Acid Rain” from Hail to the King are my favorites! I hope you’ll give at least one of them a try!! Thank you for being you!

I must suggest a song from another band the vocalist of Blind Gaurdian is in. Band is Demons and Wizards - Fiddler on the Green (band name is great!). I suggest getting the lyrics for context as well although he has a very clean sound in this (for the most part ;)). Even if you listen to it off camera because I know it's not popular, it is beautiful though.

Your reaction to Melissa's growl! 😅❤
Bonjour Elizabeth, that was really good...that woman have soul in her singing and the musicians were very good...I've look to a lot of your reactions and I really appreciate them, it's easy to see that you know what you're talking about when it come to singing an interpretation...because you seem to like charismatic voice I would suggest you to have a look in the Kate Bush material, that woman is a true artist in every sens of the word...not only she have a unique and beautiful voice, but she's a wonderful story teller (I know you like that aspect because I've seen your reaction about Lara Fabian)...she also write her song, sing them and produce them...since the early "80 she was really a pioneer in a lot of aspect (music, singing, first woman to have a number one in the UK chart with a self composed song, first to use a head rest mic in concert, etc.)...if you're interested I would suggest to start with "Running up that hill" or with "A woman's work."....I'm pretty sure you won't regret it...sorry if my English have some mistake, I'm a french speaking guy from Montréal.
Very great videos especially the Dio and rainbow reviews. Made me tear up a bit. You should review primordial gallow's hymn and Devin Townsend(any of his albums). Best regards. Thank you for keeping the Ronnie James Dio flame burning.
