I feel like Hans kinda exploded in the last years. In terms of what he does in Feuerschwanz now, it seems like they got a totally new guitarist. But in fact it's just Hans unleashed \m/

I must admit Melissa's are probably my favourite harsh vocals (which I don't usually like that much) and it's exactly because of what you said. She is articulate. You can actually understand the lyrics. And I like to understand the lyrics... 😅

Thank you for taking the time to do this.. I really love how this was mixed. Jenny´s harp-playing in combination with Melissa´s voice is quite magical. Hans´ tapping really adds something to the song, which is not always the case with tapping in my experience. Drumming is on point. . There is also the new single by Ad Infinitum - came out a few hours ago. :-) AD INFINITUM - Unstoppable (Official Video) I am looking forward to what this supergroup will release next. They will probably include some original songs as far as I know.

Tank, thanks for introducing my ears to Hans' stellar work. I would LOVE to get my hands on a modern Framus one day ( I've played an early 60's archtop w/a boat-paddle headstock) The work by Morten here is so precise.. it gives that framework that allows you to appreciate what Hans is doing. Melissa is, well, Melissa is Melissa...I've played in a few Irish pickup jams, and her voice is there with the best. I would REALLY like to hear more of the harp, and especially if it were turned into an instrument of destruction.... maybe an octave-down, of an Empress Heavy? Again, thanks Tank... this was great. Bravo to the musicians... you have made my day bright.

Thanks for spotlighting this group! They have a great sound which ticks all the right boxes for me, and I'm quite excited about the thematic material for their music. I can easily see them doing a cover of "Toss a Coin to Your Witcher," for instance. Supergroups can be so much fun to listen to, although I admit I haven't listened to too many of them. I really like the supergroup, "Northern Kings" for instance, and I still think they have some of the best symphonic metal covers of pop and rock songs out there. I really like their cover of Take on Me, and there's a good live performance video of that song on KZread. I imagine you've checked out the band due in part to the members involved, including Marko Hietala. But if not, I recommend that you do, whether it be a reaction or something to check out on your own time. Anyway, thank you for the great reaction and gear breakdown. Keep up the great work!

Great reaction, when this was released I had a feeling that we gonna get a reaction from you glad I was right :). Also I agree, Hans is a great guitarist and very underrated. He know what the song needs and do exactly that, he don't sacrifice the song for the sake of showing off. P.s. also about Amaranthe songs, in my opinion they do not release videos for their best songs from the albums, they do them for more radio friendly and for lack of better word Popier songs, they have much heavier songs that you see on their videos.

I am familiar with Melissa Bonny and Amaranthe, not much with Hans, but I will definitely check more of him now. On a side note, I've been suggesting for a while that you check out the band Vintersea, and right now they are finally going to start touring in the US promoting their second album, which came out shortly before the pandemic issue and so they hadn't been able to really promote it live. They are my favorite band at the moment, so I'm traing to bring as much attention to them a posibble 😅, especially because I know that covid hit at a bad time for them. Also, they are super active on their social media and super attentive to their fans there, so I'm sure they will greatly appreciate that a channel as cool as yours gives them a chance. Anyway, I'm sure you will have good things to say about them, their song "Befallen" is one of the heaviest, so I would recommend that one: kzread.info/dash/bejne/hHVtzM2nppOxmZc.html

Such a powerhouse of a song. I could have listened to that if it was 5x as long. The very beginning and the very end reminded me of the artist Myrkur. She has an album called Folkansange. Beautiful Celtic vibe. If you or anyone else enjoys that sound, then I highly recommend it. Most of her other albums have a slightly different sound, and includes her voice with very harsh growls and screams. So if you prefer that sound, I suggest you check out that material as well! Rock on!

I actually somehow missed this release and was made aware of this rather local group forming by a roadie half a world away - and what a piece they made... Also it might be time to finally actually finish GoT, I never made it past season six, so I do not actually know the original this is based on (I think).

This was a really cool cover of one of the few things that were good about the last season of GoT. I'll admit that on a personal taste standpoint I think the harsh vocals makes the song lose its point a bit during those parts, but it's really well done and it's just how I feel in relation to the song's nature. As said it didn't stop me from really enjoying this and it will be interesting to see what these guys create in the future.

Morten also played the drums on Dragonland's(Olof's other band) fifth album Under the Grey Banner although he doesn't consider himself a member, there's some cool drumming on there as well. No videos except some poor quality unofficial live stuff, but check out A Thousand Towers White or Fire and Brimstone from that album

If you like this and Ad infinitum Tank try Seven spires ( lead singer Adrienne is awesome). Her cover of Dimmu borgir is excellent.

I love this song since I saw it for the first time. What I just wonder is if the band name is taken from the Pink Floyd album of the same name.

Morten is from my town. He’s been making some really badass music in the past. Here’s some albums: Submission: Failure To Perfection Code Of Conspiracy The Arcane Order: The Machinery of Oblivion In The Wake Of Collisions Cult Of None

You know its good content if someone can make you care about guitars and other gear even you normally don't give a sh*t about it. ^^

Yo Tank ! Let me tell you how all this began : Hans & Mel made a bet : which of Ding cover and Marching on Versailles would reach a million views first ? Mel lost, so Hans dared her to cover a song with him. They sent the demo to Napalm, Napalm liked it so much that they asked for a full album and tadaaaa ! The dark side of the moon was born ! Wow what a version of this song! Florence + the Machine s version is so calm and melancolic. Very different😃

Oof that collection of flags in the thumbnail... The last time I checked Mørten is from Denmark. Understandable misunderstanding, but a rare sight on this channel.
