Ghidorah may be the most iconic Godzilla villain But IMO, the fights Godzilla had with MechaGodzilla were more fun to watch Probably helped by the fact that they had a lot more one on one encounters

Love all Godzilla movies, but I never understood the Ghidorah fascination, I felt he always got beat and the shaky heads never gave me a fear. Granted Showa Ghidorah was on strings and Heisei Ghidorah was cool same with Monsterverse but I always felt MechaGodzilla was more the ultimate villain

I am DEFINITELY Team Godzilla but I love MechaGodzilla as a baddie and think that it is a hugely underrated cinematic villain! I would love to see a movie where G and MechaG team up against a larger threat.

I am on Godzilla's team for life. I've been a huge fan of him when I was little, and I still am. So yeah, I am Team Godzilla.

Heres the biggest problem with this list: *you're using multiple iterations of both kaiju.* This makes the battle random and inaccurate. MechaGodzilla/Super/Kiryu/Legendary are *COMPLETELY* different from one another and the different generations of Godzilla vary massively as well This list is a big middle finger to *actual* Godzilla fans

And, regardless of how you feel about the Netflix versions (Godzilla Earth and MechaGodzilla City; personally, I liked the Netflix movies overall), they seem to have forgotten them. But yeah, you can't make accurate comparisons if you're using completely different eras and versions. Hell, the size differences alone between each respective version are pretty big between most of them. Godzilla alone goes from 50 meters / 164 feet in the Showa era up through 318+ meters / 1043+ feet tall with Godzilla Earth, and MechaGodzilla is usually slightly taller.

Ok WatchMojo love that you guys did this but if your gonna combine all the versions of them together Godzilla's atomic breath and atomic pulse don't take a long time to charge especially in the Heisei & Millennium eras and for defence, Godzilla has lived in and swam thru active volcanoes and tanked an asteroid without a scratch

Mecha-Godzilla is definitely an awesome antagonist, but Godzilla himself is just the undisputed king.

If the MonsterVerse continues more, Godzilla might be OP.

Most of his Victories against MechaGodzilla he had some assistance from an out help In Godzilla Vs MechaGodzilla he got help from King Caeser In Wrath of MechaGodzilla Godzilla was helped by Humans who Destroyed the Computer controlling him In Godzilla Vs MechaGodzilla 2 Godzilla had to preform a piccolo Kami Fusion with Rodan (sorry if I spelled it wrong) to get the Strength needed to Destroy MechaGodzilla In Godzilla Against MechaGodzilla and Godzilla Tokyo S.O.S He had no assistance making Kiryu the first and only MechaGodzilla who's beaten Godzilla (so far) In Kong Vs Godzilla He needed Kong's (as well as some humans) help to take MechaGodzilla down (But to be fair Godzilla was weakened by his fight with Kong and was not in his full Strength) Godzilla Earth is basically the only Version of Godzilla who's beaten MechaGodzilla without the assistance of any other Monster or Human

The CGI in the movie was amazing

Forget King Ghidorah. MechaGodzilla is the Big G’s real threat.

Gojira has always been the strongest in every Gojira vs Mecha-G movie. They just sometimes purposely weaken him or give Mecha-G the upper hand so that forces Gojira to team up with another ally to make the movie more exciting. There's only one Kaiju in these universe movies that can defeat his base form and it's Destroyah, but even then he can go burning and than defeat Destroyah.

Boy....you are definitely overestimating godzilla way too much buddy. Godzilla can and has gotten his ass kicked by kaiju that are just naturally stronger than him. He's never been purposely weakened (except for maybe in the case of the monsterverse) to make his opponents appear stronger. Godzilla can't go burning form at will my guy. Whether it's heisei or legendary both needed specific requirements to enter their burning forms. Spacegodzilla hedorah gigan king ghidorah mechagodzilla Keizer ghidorah. All these kaiju nearly killed godzilla mostly on their own on several occasions. I find it funny you complain about fanboys in monsterverse comment sections but here you are downplaying every other powerful opponent godzilla has faced including mechagodzilla and praising destroyah as if he was the first and only monster to put godzilla on the verge of death.

Godzilla will always be my king but I have to admit that Mechagodzilla would win most battles against him, especially with the recent one. Even though Adam Wingard thinks Godzilla would win against Mechagodzilla if he knew his life was gonna end, we haven't actually seen it happen. As for the previous reincarnations, they would win against Godzilla if Godzilla didn't get back up. Yes Mecha G's battery runs low super fast, but this is only for 1 battle, and he's been shown to have enough time to fight and defeat the G Man. Let's hope that this beauty of a mech returns in the Monsterverse someday*not too soon though hopefully*

I want Godzilla vs Destroyah 2024

Mechagodzilla is probably one of the monsters that can kill Godzilla, actually has killed Godzilla once. Most of the films has had Godzilla to team up with another monster to defeat it. I would say Mechagodzilla is one of the three monsters that could kill Godzilla with Destroyah being for sure one. Not sure between King Ghidorah or SpaceGodzilla would take the third spot

that anime version of godzilla was badasss. wat was the real shocker was that was no the original godzilla but a baby godzilla. the real one near the end of the movie was oversized and OP to faces. it's tail alone wiped out everthing insight

Suggestion: Top 20 characters who are inspired by the Batman.

Definitely Team Godzilla, I mean I do like MechaGodzilla due to all the unique abilities and arsenal it has, like in one Toho film, it gets a flying shoulder guns that combines with him to give it extra firepower, but one ability/function MechaGodzilla really should have had, would be a self repair feature as it wouldn't take a long time to rebuild/repair, you wouldn't have to go through tons of money and resources to fix it up

Since Trey Parker and Matt Stone used Barbra Streisand as Mechagodzilla, I did the same with Rumiko BAKAhashi !

I’m die hard team MechaG. I want to see more of him in the future!

I was HOPING they were going to go over how Godzilla was injured and tired from fighting Kong all night before he suddenly had to do battle with MechaGodzilla. I think Godzilla would have had a much better chance if he was at full strength.

I think Mechagodzilla is one of the most powerful enemies godzilla has ever faced, in fact, if it wasn't for the help of Kong, king Caesar or rodan, Mechagodzilla could have killed it. But, he is an enemy that "breaks down" very quickly or runs out of energy and in the first carelessness he is already defeated. We have seen that in some battles. He is a good opponent for Godzilla but he has his weaknesses.

MechaGodzilla stomps them easily. Jaegers can barely handle "ordinary" Kaiju with no real special destructive powers and their weaponry is otherwise pretty "basic" too that wouldn't really put any substantial hurt on MechaGodzilla.

Do yourself a favor and go read the toho kingdom interview. Adam wingard did not say mechagodzilla was no match for godzilla. He said he didn't know who would win if the fight was more fair and purposely avoided having godzilla land hits on mechagodzilla for that reason.

I consider Kiryu and Godzilla's match up in Tokyo S.O.S a draw, since Kiryu drowned itself with godzilla.

That’s Debatable considering the director Adam win guard stated that Godzilla actually has a stronger athomic breath then the mecha g’s proton scream . The only reason mecha won the beam struggle was because Godzilla was severely weakened by the unlimited usage of his power!!! Had he not he would have won the beam struggle most likely either damaging mecha g or knocking him down giving Godzilla a chance to gain the upper hand!!!… not to mention he had just sustained a wound to the leg when the axe impaled his thigh! He fought in 3 rounds against kong .. swam around the whole globe and used his energy to its core said the director! Otherwise the fight would’ve gone a lot differently he said!!! I think a Godzilla fresh and not weakened to like 20% strength is superior to the megaGodzilla

In gvk Godzilla was not even at full strength when he fought with Mechagodzilla and plus he was extremely tired.

An issue with round 1, mecha won but if you think about it, all the weapons mecha has, they are not finishers. The ones you pointed out for Godzilla can all be used as finishers.

Mecha G is considered the 2nd biggest threat besides king ghidorah for most powerful villain. Mecha g has done some insane damage to godzilla in the past, actually killing him one time.

Team mechagodzilla

Not to point out the obvious, but MG is a machine e designed to fight GodzIlla and his kind, so of course it's going to have more varied offensive options
