Godzilla Minus One was 30-40,000 and Godzilla: Planet of Monsters he destroyed the entire human population. And that kill count in Shin Godzilla was way too low. He decimated the entire city. Had to be tens of thousands.

I feel like a lot of these calculations are wrong. I mean with Shin Godzilla alone his kill count has got to be in the millions. There's no way he doesn't even break quadruple digits

I call bullshit on most of these numbers. I mean the population of Hong Kong is currently over 7 million. It's probably smaller in GxK due to 1) the difference of being a couple years earlier, and 2) the overall loss of world population due to the massive destruction in G:KoM and the devastation it would have caused to the global economy & supply chains... but still that's MILLIONS of people. And Godzilla swam up the city with no warning. Even tho he attacked the ground at first, not the city, by the time Kong climbed out of that hole there still wasn't time for the citizens to evacuate. (G & K started fighting in the middle of the night; when M-G started attacking it was morning and crowds were still running into the subway(?) in panic trying to get away.) His fight with Kong there was brief &only destroyed a bit of downtown but was still enough to kill THOUSANDS at least. Though I wager that M-G killed far more, like tens or even hundreds of thousands; when it fired it's heat ray it looked like it obliterated a whole district of the city in seconds, and that went on for a minute or 2 before K & G started fighting it.

From what I remember from Minus One, Godzilla killed 30k people with heat ray at Ginza according to the records mentioned in the movie. Shin might has done much more kills, likely thousands to millions. FW and Anime trilogy would be the 2 most killed movies from off-screen mentioned ones. In both, it was mentioned that the world was wiped out with Kaijus. Only thousands left the Earth in anime and no other people were seen in FW except main characters, meaning they have likely billions of kills.

Kaijus in SP are also expanded to world threat too. Idk if there's any specific stats about deaths, but Kaijus like Rodans might have done quite many. Tristar movie also has a lot, since Godzilla layed 200+ eggs and they were all killed.

Over 22,000,000 casualties in _Destroy All Monsters_ must count for something!

I was so expecting GMK, to be on the list but one of if not my favourite Godzilla films made it too number 3.

Next month, we are gonna witness Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire. 2024 is the year of Godzilla. Godzilla's 70th Anniversary. Godzilla has been doing it great recently. He gain his first oscar nomination, survived the DC Universe, fought the Justice League and defeated Superman, his show, Monarch gains great praise from everyone and every fans of Godzilla are hyped to see Godzilla X Kong. We are living the golden age of Godzilla.

I am super excited to see the movie! Especially my parents and sister! We didn’t care about what Godzilla looks like and the color spikes and eyes has, because we are used to it, because we seen what the other evolved Godzilla looks like in the other Toho movies. Plus pink is a high radiation color next to red. There is pink, red, blue, green, orange, purple, white, and yellow colors of the radiation chart. We didn’t even care seeing Godzilla running fast and running like a human because we seen weird and badass moves from Toho Godzilla. It would be super cool and I hope one of these days we get to see Monsterverse making Godzilla doing a kick or etc or that Toho never did before.

Me too. I'm actually quite surprised that he wasn't number one. I'm also surprised that they didn't put Minus One on the list. But then again, Godzilla Minus One is still a recent movie.

As others may have noted, Godzilla: planet of the monsters, Godzilla, final wars, and Godzilla versus destroyer. These should also be noted. And Godzilla versus destroyer, at one sequence during the movie. Godzilla destroyed at least one major city and left unchecked. His radiation release would’ve wiped out the planet.

Well because the creator of Ultraman is a producer of the OG Gojira and back in the 60's Toho and Tsuburaya were tight so they just borrowed the sfx heck even borrowed a Godzilla suit

Are they counting people killed in Godzilla movies or people that were killed BY Godzilla? Because some of these figures seem a bit low..

I really hate to point out one that should have been obvious, but the Ebirah one shouldn't be on this list, since a) Godzilla didn't actually kill that many and b) the self-destruct was actually turned on by one of the humans he technically stepped on. Just goes to show that another website is not doing any proper research again; like WhatCulture.

Okay with the exception of the #1 entry. Every single one of these figures are woefully under counted. I can see you got these figures from Wikizilla, but these can't be accurate as only take into account deaths we actually see on screen, and not necessarily anyone dying inside of buildings or collapsing rubble as a result of the attacks. "Final Wars" basically destroyed every major city on the planet, yet the site lists the death toll as 9 ... 7 of whom are monsters, and two speaking characters. Maybe hire some actual consultants to do your lists. Like what BuzzFeed did with Man of Steel.

"Approximately" 22,223,287? Sounds a bit too exact to be "approximate". If you'd said "approximately 23,000,000" it would have made more sense

I think all 4 new Godzilla movies should be on this list. He also kill a Shit load of people with the tsunamis he makes on landfall alone. In King of the Monsters his number should be low. I'm sure there were people in the plans at the airport. The carrier alone has 5,000 to 7,000 they are a small city after all. Only King of the Monster did the show people leaving the city before he got there. There older movies did show Tsunamis when Godzilla made landfall Plus he is smaller in them.
