He sort of gained a conscience in the films Godzilla Against MechaGodzilla and Godzilla Tokyo SOS back in the early 2000s. He was built over the bones of a dead Godzilla and twice when the Godzilla he fought roared and the soul of the dead Godzilla woke up briefly, causing MechaGodzilla to go rouge briefly

Here’s a fun fact. King Ghidorah made his 8th appearance in the Monsterverse in Godzilla KOTM (Final Wars doesn’t count it was Keizer Ghidorah) and now Mechagodzilla will also be making his 8th appearance in the Monsterverse in Godzilla vs Kong if you include his appearance in Ready Player One

I’m sure MechaGodzilla is gonna be built from Dagon’s bones in the Philippines and the only way who can be behind all this is Ren Serizawa. I’m sure they are gonna show a scene in GVK when Ren finds out the location of Dagon’s bones he’s gonna steal them to help Argo build Mecha G and that’s on how he’ll be in the movie. Only way I see he finds out about the bones are from his fathers notebook.

I consider the first Mechagodzilla to be one of the best villains in the franchise and it's counterpart Kiryu to be one of the coolest heroic robots in the franchise.

I wouldn’t mind seeing another evil alien MechaGodzilla. Also the OG MechaG has the 2nd best design imo, Kiryu being 1rst.

I love godzila is so cute and loving.

Mechagodzilla from the 1974 film. Is way better the 90's and 2000's version. Since they weirdly made him a hero instead of a classic Villain. I prefer him was The Villain and not the other way around. It's better that way.

I'm sticking to my own theory although I feel it would have been leaked by now: that's not Godzilla or MechaG but a cousin of Godzilla that has been dormant. that's who's causing the destruction (it would be silly to have an obviously mechanical giant destroy stuff and people say "why are you doing this Godzilla") Kong defeats him to get the spike for his axe.

I really miss big eyes version of Godzilla hahah
