I have the 2020 Propel Advanced One Disk and it is the most comfortable bike I’ve ever ridden. Even more comfortable than my 2019 Defy Advanced Pro 2. I know this doesn’t make any sense but it’s just the truth. Super compliant. It smooths out all the bumps. It’s really a remarkably versatile bike.

Agreed, just bought the 2021... it's so comfortable and not actually bad at climbing at all

To follow up and what I said below and what you said regarding comfort and bike fit, I totally agree, which might be why I find the Propel so comfortable. You see the Propel is the best fitted bike I’ve ever road. It seems to meet all my measurements perfectly. That must be the reason why when I ride it I just want to keep going. I haven’t had it long but I’ve already done my longest rides ever on it. And even on those rides I wanted to keep riding. It’s really a perfect fit.

No...from a stop, TCR will accelerate better than Propel but Propel will hold 35kmh++ better

Really interesting video. I thought the lastest Tcr's were all over 6.8kg. Good to hear I got that wrong..I was so bummed that all the latest bikes from Giant were getting heavier and heavier. My most recent bike, A Propel w/rimbrakes came with heavy wheels. I got its weight down to just over 7kg by switching out the wheels. Now my next bike will be a disk bike. Thanks for this video lepedaler:)

Keep it going, great content! Im trying to figure out which of these 2 bikes to buy (at the entry level models of course) propel advanced disc vs tcr advanced 2 disc. Where I live there are plenty of nice flat roads as well as some decent climbs. Im inclined for the propel but I undestand that the tcr is more of an allrounder bike, right? I love the aestetics of the aero bike but im not sure of having the propel as my only bike for a while (I would have to sell my current entry level bike to purchase the new one) any thoughts? Thanks

Overall a Good Video, I only have a Propel but do use it for 4 hour plus rides and I find it fine (my other bike is a Specialized Allez). The reason why I went for a Propel was because I'd like to get into Triathlon's again and I believe the Propel will suit this well. I do believe the Propel is great on the flats and maintaining speed but a little stiff around corners and up climbs. I may get a TCR as well sometime :-)

I have a 2013 TCR and a 2018 Propel Disk, both with Ultegra Di2, both are great bikes, the only thing I did was to put same saddle on both, and make sure they both measured exactly the same, the TCR is almost ready for chain rings so will change them from 52/39 to 52/34, I don’t ride the Propel on windy days, the 65mm rear and 42mm front tend to act like sails, although the TCR has 50mm carbon rims front and rear, so on very windy days I change the front to a 24mm rim 😀🚴‍♀️🚴🏻

I love both bikes but I tend to ride my TCR more. The 2021 TCR has 32mm tire clearance

I own the Propel, and it is vert fast, it is actually quite comfortable as well. It's not an SL so it is a bit heavier than the TCR SL, but only by a couple pounds. This is my first experience riding an aero bike, and I must say you can really notice how smooth and slippery it is to ride. It is easier to ride is fast, and once up to speed it is easier to maintain those fast speeds. I would never go back to a non aero bike no matter how light they might be.

How do you adjust the seat post, are you just supposed to cut off how much u don’t need, as that would be a very stupid option as you wouldn’t be able to sell to a taller person or adjust it back to full height

Just marketing strategy to make it look ang aggresive position. People will think they look cool being low but that depend on the size of frame. If you get 1 size smaller then you can get that seatpost height
