I'm happy with this. Minor changes, but there wasn't anything standing out on the old model as needing to be improved other than hidden cables for aesthetic reasons. I love to ride in the hills and don't race, so the improved ride quality of the TCR matters more to me than the aero of the Propel (not to mention $$).

One main reason I wouldn’t consider buying a Giant TCR or Propel are the cadex hookless rims & I currently ride a 2018 TCR

I have a (now) last-gen TCR. I love the thing. My vote is that they've haven't done enough to make me even think about upgrading, and I feel like the price went up at a time everyone's talking about bike prices falling. Glad I got the last-gen for that cheaper price.

I'm happy with my leftover 2023 TCR PRO 0 that I got fot $3150 new, in a color I love.

I’d like to see Giant providing colorful decal/color options for their bikes. Make them look like flamboyant team bikes!!

It looks like Luke Plapp just finished second in the latest stage of Paris-Nice on the new TCR.

Bikes like the TCR and Aethos make more sense for the majority of high speed recreational riders. The lighter weight of the frame allows you to get a light bike with mid and lower tier components. Rigid under power, compliant in the right areas and race geometry tick the right boxes imo. Riders need to make a good personal evaluation of the type of riding they do and the terrain they ride stop looking at what pros are riding.

There was precious little "honest opinion" in this video. It was a Giant press release basically.

Is it still massive 59,2 trail?

Seems nice but how do you get the seat height right? What if I want to change my seat height a year later? Seems crazy.

The ISP has over 2cm of adjustment once cut. Use spacers down to 1 mm

Giant says they have stock for send this new model immediately, but I am waiting for a 2020 TCR seatpost for 4 months now. 🙁

When I bought my Defy it had a wheel fault, Giant couldn't even provide a replacement so they supplied me a new pair of wheels from another brand !!!

Giant might want to look at those seat tube length numbers

SL model is lighter but what about the "PC" model?

I like the TCR it's a cool bike, expensive but often cheaper than similar bikes. However I don't know if there's still a future for it. Especially in the pro peleton. It feels a bit like the specialized aethos. A lightweight bike for those that want it. The propel is now light and overall useable enough. Wouldn't it be easier for the pros to ride on the same bike all the time? Like the V4RS, Tarmac, Dogma F? I'm no pro so wouldn't know but I can imagine that I would prefer to ride on the exact same bike the entire time vs switching bikes around.

I'd think they made sure it isn't...

So they said the internal cables saved 4 watts. And said they saved more with the head tube and down tube and fork. And then the total watts saved are 2.3 for the normal bikes and 4.2 for the SL 0. heh. Good to see that the new wheels are a bit more wide. The older SLR wheels are very good wheels but they are a bit narrow (19mm internal and 25mm external). Personally I am happy to have bought the previous generation TCR at a good discount. I'd rather have external front cables even if they don't look as cool. A TCR doesn't look cool anyway.

Wonder how many Watts you save by not riding your bike at all for three days because it needs to be completely disassembled for service since thanks to total integration you can't reach relevant components otherwise.

Those Watt saving claims will make absolutely sweet FA difference to 90% of buyers, slightly less weight is good but my money would be on a now heavily discounted 23/24 model

So according to 'frame geometry ' at 7.08 , a XS bike comes with you guessed it 170mm cranks ? Why o why do they expect people to pay thousands of £ on a extra small bike but put up with 170mm cranks ?

The frameset price is actually not too bad. Like most things you will be able to get somewhere with 20% reduction. So it's around 3000€ for the frame set. The look blade 795 rs cost almost 5.000€...

Was there a mention of the Cadex hookless rims .. unfortunately, a total turn off for me!

We meant the Ultegra advanced sl which we had in and is under 6.8kg despite having the second tier groupset and wheels, apologies for the confusion

Keep what you have if you want. But they have cheaper versions. I know I have multiple rim brake bikes that were $10-14k and there are very few $5000 disc brake bikes that aren't far better than my rim brake bikes that cost over double to triple the price. It's even worse taking inflation into account

I still ride my 2018 TCR and while I will continue with Giant they just aren't as sexy as competing brands. How many fake TCR's out there compared to F12, Tarmac and Madone.

Interesting price point for the frame set. The Pro-line sits in the realm of Time and Look frames. It’s also in the ballpark of Van Rysel’s RCR.

Seems like a crazy price. I paid $2800 for a FULL bike last year. (Pro Advanced - 105 mech - disc - SLR2 carbon wheels). I think they don't really care about selling many individual framesets.

They should have provided more tire clearace, at least 35mm. That would be more interesting.

Many 35c tyres are narrower in reality, especially on classic 19mm road rims.

I own a 2019 Adv Pro 0 and had a chance to test ride SL7 Pro, which felt very sluggish compared to my TCR. TCR is very fun to ride bike, especially if you are fit. Already planning to buy an SL frameset as the Tarmac SL8 is way too ugly for my eyes.

Why this price?! I paid half for the EXACTLY the same bike back in 2018

I strongly prefer external cables at the front. The internal cables are mostly just an aesthetic thing and the performance improvement only matters for a VERY VERY small portion of riders. But tubeless tires are actually good and have significant and real benefits for normal people. You can use lower pressure and the ride is noticeably more smooth and comfortable. Flats become very infrequent though IMO that's only a side benefit or none because if you do get a flat it's more of an annoyance. For the normal tire installation they are NOT difficult to deal with. For those on tight budgets tubeless could be annoying because there aren't a wide selection of cheap tires like there are clinchers

What personality disorder drives the Giant designers? On the one hand, they stick with an integrated seapost, a design that was abandoned by the rest of the bike industry 15 years ago, due to impracticality, on the other they do not use one-piece bar-stems because of their impracticality. And finally stop saying "x Watts faster"! Watt is a unit to measure power, not speed!

I use to love Giant... but how can you love a company that perpetuates a scam and shows their greed. Cadex going all-in on hookless rims turned me away. Also, Giant branded tires are absolute rubbish. The bead separated and the tire popped off my rim in the middle of a ride. I can't respect a company that makes rubbish, even if it is their lower tier product.

Using New Cadex Race One piece handle bar…/only 256 g ) will be looking much much beautiful❤🎉 than current one🙃🥹😎
