This guy gets the good stuff but he takes care of it and enjoys having it, not just buying it. That's the difference between a consumer and an enthusiast. That's not such an evil spirit.

Pro Compact (PC) actually just refers to the crankset and cassette size it's spec'ed with, this bike actually falls into the entry "Advanced disc" trim, not the Pro, Giant's naming scheme is a bit confusing here. TCR disc comes in three main levels; Advanced disc, Advanced Pro disc, and Advanced SL disc. Main difference between the Advanced disc and Pro disc is the oversized steerer from 1-1/8" to 1-1/4", but the frame is pretty much the same.

I am all for upgrade. If you have such a beautiful frame and you love your bike, then why not? In the end it might cost more but you can split the total amount.

Fellow Sabahan here, since you are kinda new, maybe you don't know, but there are quite a few better bike shops in KK, Aik Huat, 88 bikers, Spring Trading, Cyclopath to name a few beside Cyclelogy. IMHO, what makes a bike shop great are the skilled mechanics, which cyclelogy lacks, I usually just bought stuff there and install them elsewhere. My experience with them was quite lacking, since I'd seen them failing to properly index my Rd, which I knew how but I felt kinda awkward to have to teach them how to and finding out that my headset was not properly tighten after getting it back from them. So since then, I opted to go back to Aik Huat which again imo has the most experience mechanic.

@@xaein9515 Their staff count (across all three shops and a side shop) isn't as low as other shops. As far as mechanic skills is concerned, I don't know about KK, they're not the best out there. The KK shop started in 2011 if I'm not mistaken. Derailleur indexing actually really isn't very tough once you know how a derailleur works (this is one part many don't even try to understand voluntarily). I'm able to do it on my own long before I work in a shop. But once I work in one, my indexing skills significantly improved as I have access to a rear derailleur hanger alignment gauge, something I need to use if a hanger is misaligned to the point it makes indexing impossible.

@@yonglingng5640 yup experience really matter, the mechanic I'm used to can do it in less than 10min if everything is straight, but it'll take myself much more than that with trial and errors, but for a so called higher end bike shop, their mechanic should be up to the par with these sort of basic stuff, at the very least have someone expericed to look after the newer ones. Maybe coz my bike isn't anything too fancy.

does the ID Match take account into the "other" side of your body or does it only work on fitting one half of your body? The entire jig doesn't seem to be able to turn around to show the other side, seems like a pretty outdated way to do bikefitting.

3000 dollars for an frame with alu wheels and 105?? So ex? I have a china venge frame with ultegra di2 and winspace hypers 65 for only 4k lol. Bought the frame around 1 year ago on carousell. Did around 3000-4000km on it. No problems. Had to replace the bearings on the winspace at the 2000++km mark but otherwise all good.

I’m happy that you enjoy your pirated venge frame. But in all honestly, not everyone has the money to throw and waste on a pirated frame. 1k on a pirated frame is still 1k spent.

@@slowcyclist4324 well its made from the torray t1100 carbon. Which is the same material as a pinarello dogma f frame so i dont see why it would be a problem. And it was a 1.5k frame from shenzhen where all the big name brands produce their frames. Well. If your not willing to spend 1k are you willing to spend 8k on a frame?
