    It’s a stunning colour! Shame they don’t do it anymore. Great review by the way, thank you.

    I am 5'11" and I ride the M/L. I got the US$4K TCR Advanced Disc 1+ with Shimano 105 Di2 and the SLR 1 wheels. Running Schwalbe Pro One 30mm tubeless. Gearing is 50/34 by 11-30 on mine. Great bike and value.

    Awesome, pretty much the same bike. I wish I had 12 speed di2, since the shifters are wireless and I can throw on any cheap handlebar that I please without having to worry about wires running through my handlebars. Same wheels and tire setup, amazing! Thanks for watching and commenting.

    what about the brake hoses though?@@tommilano5431

    Quite confused with your dislikes. If you wanted an alloy frame, alloy handlebar, alloy round seat post, then why on earth did you buy a pro 0? Also the bars aren’t proprietary. You just need a di2 compatible bar, which is widely available.

    What you mentioned was part of the dislikes. Overall I enjoy this bike a lot! As far as this bars, I can’t just throw on a cheap pair of alloy bars since they need holes for the di2 wires running through the bars. 12 spd di2, etap, and mechanical groups don’t have this issue. Thanks for watching.

    You dont need a "Di2" bar, but you do need one with internal brake routing. I've used a few different 3T bars and routed the wires out through the brake hose hole in the bar. You can also drill a small 1/4" about 1.5-2" from the end of the bar where it is a very very low-stress location and route the wires on the underside of the bar under the tape

    I thought about drilling holes by the end of the bars. Just getting some cheap FSA Alloy bars and doing it. Have watched videos about it, but it seems like an extra step that wouldn’t be necessary with etap, di2 12 speed, or mechanical. I’m probably the only person that would consider going to an under stem junction box! Thanks for watching.

    hi, just got a second hand 2021 tcr adv pro 0. regarding the stem, it's a proprietary giant stem, right? so i can't use any other aftermarket stem? also, what's OD2? will a non-OD2 giant stem fit our OD2 stem? thanks

  • @tommilano5431

    @tommilano5431

    Yes, it is a proprietary stem. The TCR uses a bigger steerer tube at 1 1/4 instead of the 1 1/8 standard. I found the stems on eBay and got it from there. This should be it www.ebay.com/itm/164335355789?hash=it

    You can get aluminum bars that have holes for Di2. Lots of options out there. DI2 routing is very commonplace

    Thank you for this. I’ve only been able to find the shimano pro vibe bars for alloy di2 bar end junction compatibility. Am I missing any other brands? The carbon has been fine so far, I just don’t like that if the bike falls I’ll be forced to spend over $300 on carbon bars.

    Nowt wrong with carbon framed bikes! I've had them for 15 years both road and quite a few carbon framed enduro/xc mtbs. I've crashed them good style and they've tumbled but no frame breaks or cracks. I am contemplating buying yet another carbon roadie and already have a TCR SL with rim brakes. The model I'm looking at is a 2023 Giant TCR Advanced Pro 1 Disc Di2. Looks the biz like this one does 😍

    I’m starting to realize this. Carbon hasn’t given me any issues at all, and it rides great! The TCR is a great bike, good that you have the rim brake one! Thanks for the comment, and thanks for watching!

    Hi! What about hookless rims? What psi do you ride? Do they blow out?

  • @tommilano5431

    @tommilano5431

    I haven’t had any issues with hookless rims, however I’m running 30mm Schwalbe tubeless tires and haven’t gone above 65psi. Hookless makes sense from a strength perspective, but you have to run tires that are compatible and can’t go above 70psi. Thanks for watching!

    Lots of issue with hookless wheelset is due to user error ( fitting wrong tires, over recommended pressure , etc) . Also you will be surprised those negativity comes from many who had never used hookless before. Been using 3 sets of hookless wheelset since they launched untill now no issue at all. Just make sure you follow manufacturers recommendation of tires and pressure.

    Force of habit. It’s either really hot, and I don’t want to dehydrate, or make excessive pit stops, or if it’s cooler, I like to weigh the bike down to get more of a “resistance”.

    TCR is a great bike but those cables on yours look awful. A shop could shorten them for you so they don’t stick out so much.

    Not necessarily. The head tube on the m/l is 20mm shorter, so he would have had a lot of spacers beneath

    Having said that. If he finds the bike is understeering on decents, he may want a shorter wheelbase
