Super nice bike, I love the color! I hope you get more tire choice in the future. I own a TCR advanced 1 from 2018 with a Scope r4c wheelset. After 10.000km, still like new. Luckily without hookles rims, so more tire choice. I love how it rides and the steering is super precise. But, the color of yours is so much better than my black/orange one. Enjoy it en don't sell unless you are very sure you make an upgrade. This bike is so much value for the money.

Thanks for your video, I have the same bike and here is what I like about it: Very responsive, comfortable and the general feeling of flawless rides, the fact that it comes with dual sided power meter, carbon rims, carbon handle bar, DI2 group set makes it very competitive on the market with good value! What I don’t like about it: Yes the choice of tubeless tires is very limited and I heard there will be more choice in a near future but that was almost a year ago and so far no more choices. Disk brake rubbing especially on hard braking on descent. The paint of the frame is beautiful however I found the finish not up to a good standard, and gets very easily scuffed and scratched, I’m not sure if it’s because of the paint or the clear coat quality.

Continental 5000 S TR is compatible with the wheels! I've been using them for 6 months now and everything works great. I asked Giant if I can use the tires and they replied YES, provided that - for my own safety - I do not exceed 5 bars. That is also what Continental recommends. To be honest, 5 bars is ideal pressure. Another thing is that if you load 5 bars your sealant will probably seal your punctured tire. On some occasions I load s little more, around 6 bars. 5 bars is perfect - I tran a lot, race a lot and even win a few races a year, always on 5 bars in my tires.

I totally agree with you about the limited tire selection for this TCR model. Although they're not light weight tires, I really like 28mm Gavia Fondo 0 tubeless tires in conjunction with Dyna plugs. After a couple of puncture holes fixed by Dyna plugs, I put down over 6,000 miles with no flat so far. I'm really impressed with them and that they're quite comfortable to ride, too.

I have the 2021 Advance Pro 1 disc. I swapped the tyres to schwalbe pro one TLE 28mm as I wanted to run lower pressures. This makes the feel of the bike buttery smooth and makes a fast bike feel so much quicker. The one thing I plan to change in the future is my mechanical groupset. I originally ordered the Pro 0 but this was unavailable so brought the pro 1 instead, and to be honest prefer the colour way. Don't get me wrong, ultegra mechanical is brilliant and incredibly crisp, but I just prefer electronic shifting.

I got the TCR Advanced 1 Pro Compact which comes without these flashy wheels and without a powermeter as I wanted to change the cranks to 165mm and not run Giants hookless rims. I bought some 35mm Hunt Aero Wide wheels to give me more tire options and less of a handful in windy conditions being a light weight rider. The bike is great and I got it at a very good price as most people want the powermeter and carbon wheels options. The frameset is quite soft and comfortable. My expectation is that th SL frameset does not share this softness try and hold the front brake and see how much the fork will move under you. Also: jerk the handlebar left to right and notice the flex in the top tube. It’s no worry and this is intended. It does mean that this bike is NOT an all out race bike although it will probably do fine in such settings.

Shcwalbe pro 1 is on the list. I run 28mm pirelli p zero race SL tlr. It's not on the giant list but works great 👍 a lot of people run the gp5000 even though it's on the fail list. They work but just means if they fail it's on you not giant and the reason for failure is that the tire can come off with higher pressures. From giant's website: Please be aware that if you choose to use a tire with an indicated maximum pressure above 72.5psi (5 bar) that is not on the list of tires that have passed the Giant test protocol, YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK, as the tire may not function properly with the Giant hookless WheelSystem. Please note that if the maximum pressure indicated on the sidewall of a tire is below 72.5psi (5 bar), the tire is tubeless compatible, and is not indicated as being incompatible with hookless rims, it can be used with Giant hookless WheelSystems and does not have to appear on the ¨What Tires Can I Use" chart...

Yeaa, with most modern bikes having internal cables or hidden ones. It's kinda weird to see the new TCR still have exposed cables. It's something I got used to after a while but it would be nice to have hidden cables :)

Canyon has also this problem. And Giant and Canyon are the only two brands with good price for bike with Ultegra Di2 and high carbon wheels with 7.2kg for entire bike. So if $500-1000 doesn't make any difference then I would go for Trek, Specialized or Scott but I preferred to save that amount of money. However I hit these cables with my leg on uphills and it makes more difficult to hang some bag on front for longer trips >300km. You cannot hang nothing on frame because it's glossy and easily scratchable.

There has been some chatter on the interwebs about some of the internally routes bikes having sluggish response/feel du to the cable housing being crammed into unnatural positions. Seems like perfect setup would be crucial. And when it's not, can you or your LBS handle the solution?

I'm running a Di2 DA SL 0. Giant tyres are ghastly and their tubeless rim tech is crap as it leaks air way too fast (my TCR, my wife's Liv and my Revolt). At the time of buying the bikes I had assumed buying top tier bikes would come with decent tyres .. so I bought a supply of them - HUGE mistake. I've never had any issues with my Specialised or Mavic tubeless systems so I didn't expect Giant's to be so bad. I'm about to fit Schwabs even though I still have some Gavias left and I hope the result retains air a bit better. Partly a Shimano issue but I'd like tidier cabling ... a TCR with the new 12speed wireless DA would be nice! I don't have an issue with the rim dimensions. Anything that gives you aero benefits would be a good thing but ofter that'll come with a weight penalty.

There is nothing wrong with the Schwalbe Pro One tires. They really are in the same league as the Conti GP5000 tires. About the tubeless tires. Giant does not do anything wrong. The tire manufactures should make the tires really good tubeless and in this case fit to be set on a hookless rim. Actually I think it's a good thing that Giant has a list of "approved" tubles tires. It's now up to the manufacturers to improve the tubeless tires. I think the Giant Advanced Pro 0 or 1 are excellent bikes. Maybe the best bikes that money could buy. In your review I miss the the remarks about how good this bikes rides and how good it steers. What about the new short nose saddle? These new Giant fleet saddels are quite good. So yeah, a good review, but it lacks quite many others aspects of quality bike. Maybe it's something you could emphasize in another review. A good bike is all about handling an steering and not the sound of the wheels.

I bought it only because it was available within 2 weeks in comparison to 4 months in another brands. Price also better and power meter included. So this choice saved my season 2021 because old bike has been broken but in general I would like to buy shortly something else. I forgot also to mention about noisy disc brakes especially in a rain (still fighting with that to make it silence).
