Knowing Dave wrote this song at one of the lowest points in his life, and watching him sing it at another lowest point in his life has made me so emotional. I hadn’t planned on crying today, but here I am. RIP Taylor, you inspired so many people. I feel so privileged to have grown up listening to the Foo Fighters and having seen them live. Taylor’s sick drumming during their Fourth of July show in 2015 is a core memory for me. I’ll never forget watching him absolutely wail on those drums. I’ve been listening to the foo fighters since I was a baby (my dad might be their biggest fan) and even though I didn’t know Taylor, when he died I felt like I lost a family member since he had been such a big part of my life. He touched so many lives, and I’m so sad for his family and friends and everyone else who held him dear.

He has two first cousins I went to school with here in Mobile, Al. We played guitar and learned Foo songs a few years back. Taylor would text them to see how they were doing! They and their family are crushed as you can imagine. He was a special human.

I was never really a Foo Fighters fan (nor did I dislike them at all), but based on how good of people they seemed from watching a few videos I booked a ticket to London the second the concert was announced. I have been to hundreds of shows and I am sure this was the best I have ever, and ever will, see by any band, ever. A wonderful tribute!

@@Foofightersgirl666 Hard to imagine seeing them playing their last show with the energy they displayed. I'm sure they have many friends and even friends of Taylor that would love to honor him by continuing the band. Maybe they'll rename the band. Regardless, it's hard to imagine Dave continuing without playing, it's embedded in him. It helped him cope with Kurt's passing and I'm sure it will help heal and move on with Taylor's absence.

Dave Grohl must secretly be Superman in real life because he has the biggest fucking heart and soul of any being on this earth. to hold all that pain, love, respect for fellow man and intense loyalty and drive to honor his brother with grace, dignity and musical intelligence and show us all that real men do cry and are allowed to show love makes me humble just to exist on this planet. He wears his pain, he carries it and he shares the burden so that we all can feel a bit more human.

Throughout the concert yesterday as I watched live, I promised myself I wouldn't cry. There were two instances for me that absolutely caused me to lose control and tears seemingly started flowing on their own. The first being Dr. May sitting down to play Love of My Life. I am a huge Queen fan, and considering the context and him mentioning Freddie did it for me. This one was the second time where I knew that I was going to be seeing the whole song through teary eyes. Ever since discovering them, FF has had a very very dear place in my heart. Everlong has been my favourite since the first time I heard it. The band playing this song to end their concerts also added that special factor. Seeing Dave emotional throughout the concert really pushed the fact in that Taylor isn't here anymore, and as soon as I heard Dave say, "this one's for you, Taylor." I knew what was coming, and BOY WAS I NOT PREPARED for it. I fully ugly cried during the whole song. I am truly grateful to Taylor for giving me an inspiration to drum again. "Hello, I've waited here for you, Everlong." Thank you, Taylor. You will be missed.

I remember back when this song first came out hearing it as a kid on the radio and not knowing what it was called or who it was from. Literally felt like months of just always catching it playing on the radio hoping I’d catch the DJ saying the name, but no such luck. I had little pieces of paper where I was writing the lyrics down and trying to figure it out. I’ll never forget the day I finally learned it was called Everlong by a band called Foo Fighters. To this day whenever I have an epiphany or some sort of grand realization, I always think of the moment I found this song. A memory I’ll never forget for what is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever created.

Everlong stripped back like this feels even more emotional than usual. It won't be the same again but we'll continue and remember and love him just as strong

I was lucky enough to be there and I legitimately cried when he sang times like these and broke down and everlong because of what this band had done for me is huge especially at the time when I first listened to them definitely one if not the best night of my life
I remember back when this song first came out hearing it as a kid on the radio and not knowing what it was called or who it was from.
