And that’s ladies and gentlemen is the magic of music. Taylor’s talent and musicality lives through his son phenomenal performance.
I have to admit that while I love My Hero as a song I've never really resonated with it, I've never had anyone in my life that I could look to in that way. After watching this I know now what it means to me, it means I need to be that person for my son, I need to be the father for him that I never had.
The way Dave looks at him before his closing just so proud of him, I can’t imagine losing my dad, but you know he will be looked after
kid nailed it in the biggest moment, on the biggest stage, great moment 🤘🏻🍺
I cannot get past how much love that is in Dave’s face at the end of the song. The amount of pain that all of Taylor’s family and friends are feeling but they still love each other.

When Taylor played, he gave the energy that he was battling through the entire way with every song. Well played as Taylor's son, Shane, joined The Foo Fighters on stage. You can see the heart and soul that he put on the kit for this song
The kid absolutely shreds on drums! No surprises with his dad and Dave around him. Few more years to grow up and he could definitely be the drummer of FF. If anything, he seems to be a bit like Dave and a bit like his dad with his style. Dave is very much a power emotional drummer, Taylor was very much a technical rock drummer, this kid has both. This is one of the best performances of any song I have ever seen live with the emotions of the moment, the crowd, the handing of the torch by Dave at the beginning for the thing that is Dave signature "hits the drums harder than anyone". See his mum at the end in awe in the ultimate way to pay tribute to his dad. Choked me up this!
Cometh the hour cometh the man This teenage boy fought through his emotions to honour his father in the best way possible. This is how we teach our children to be, absolute respect for them and the band to make this happen. God bless them 🙏
That’s a brave kid and a great drummer. Big tears for sure over here. That had to have been hard but what a tribute!!!
Just as humble as his Father. Plays with the same intensity as his Dad. As a musician that plays drums and guitar and a few other instruments… Ironically, I always worried about Taylor Hawkins because you cannot play with that intensity as often and as long as he did night to night. A month before he passed, I told my mother that he’s not going to last long playing the way he does all these years. Spooked the hell out of me when he passed. He gave us all he had, the same way Dave Grohl and the other members do. Percussion takes a little bit more out of you! Especially when it’s your true passion! Thank You Taylor…You certainly left your mark upon the world.❤️🙏
Thank you so much for uploading this Paramount ❤! The sheer passion and talent Shane has at such a young age is impressive. You just know that Taylor's looking down with a smile watching his son play with his bandmates. Wishing Shane and the rest of the guys the best. Rest in peace, Taylor.
