Gilmour expresses more emotion in his guitar than any lyric can ever come close. He is truly a legend. Check out "Dogs" by them from the Animals album. He literally makes it weep. Be prepared, it's 17 minutes and change, but you'll hardly notice.

Yes I believe you've probably found an amazing friend in Pink Floyd music! The reason people still react to it is because they don't sing about themselves or girls or fast cars or any of the narcissistic things most rock stars sing about. They sing about what life is like what things that can go wrong like Insanity, money, getting old and looking back on life in regret and all kinds of human emotion. You've slipped into an almost bottomless rabbit hole with their music and David Gilmour the lead singer and lead guitarist plays with incredibly emotion that you can hear it in every note! If you'd like to see what they look like when they were your age check out Echoes live at Pompeii for the first half of the song echoes. I think you'll see all kinds of talent and you may be amazed because it was recorded live! They didn't do any retakes they just played through the song and filmed it!!

You have opened a new world of music. The realm of the unreal. No other band has produced so many classic hits...well maybe the Beatles but there’re more pop. Thing is I still get the same feeling from the second lead now as I did when it first came out in the mid 80’s. 2 bands I was introduced to in 1969 that really stand out..Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath. Many many more followed. Good luck on your Pink Floyd journey.

I read somewhere that the sound system alone at the Pulse gig was 220,000 watts. The lasers used were a new experimental type, and they had used the entire world's supply, and with no spares. The power supply in most locations was insufficient and they had 5 portable industrial generators running behind the venue to feed the stage set. There has been nothing like it before or since.

If it hasn't been stated yet by others: Roger Waters: base player, main song writer. Sings the low vocals, the "doctor" part, on this one. David Gilmour: guitarist, lead vocals on the chorus, the higher parts, the protagonist of the song. Rick Wright, keyboardist, also sang occasionally. You heard him harmonize with Gilmour on Time already. Nick Mason: drummer. Doesn't sing lol

You want to hear them live? They're quite incredible live, try anything from their 1994 Pulse Concert Tour, some suggestions,.."High Hopes", "Sorrow", "Money", "Learning to Fly", "one of My Days", and maybe the best one of the bunch is, of course, "Comfortably Numb". I realize you're reacting to it here, but ask anyone that's seen that version and they'll tell you just how phenomenal and incredible it is! You talk about a solo?!?!, the solo in the 1994 Pulse Tour is quite possibly the greatest solo of all time! If you're someone that like a guitar solo with a lot of feel and emotion, then you'll LOVE David Gilmours' guitar playing. He is truly a guitar aficionado, and in my humble opinion, he's the greatest Rock Guitarist of all time. I know, I know Jimi Hendrix is the considered the greatest of all time, but these two gentlemen's style and tone is so profoundly different from each other, that they can both the Greatest to me. One last thing if you don't mind, I'd like to give a bit of advice if I could. I don't know how your other listeners are hearing you, but I'm hearing your voice very loud over the music. The music sounds great, but when you cut in at that volume a ice pick to the ear drum. It happened to me on this video, and another of Pink Floyd I saw you, react to, but it's only your videos. But then again it could be me I guess, I enjoy PF loud, maybe I have it too loud. Or maybe I'm the only one that hears it that way, I don't know. I see no ones mentioned it except me,... Cheers

Some PF albums need to be experienced as a whole, not splitted into single songs, as you have already discovered with "The Dark Side of the Moon".

It’s a symphonic prog album that consists of two 20 minute epics entitled Marshmallow, and Moondust. The album is totally solo with every instrument being played and composed by Antony. Antony Kalugin is also the creative mind behind Karfagen in addition to a few other projects. I’d love to hear your reaction on this album, it was probably one of my favorite albums of 2020.
