@@BinNeverStop Your welcome and please keep reacting. I am guessing we won't be seeing much new music or live concerts from Pink Floyd members any more, I am sad to say. The oldest founding member of the band, Roger Waters is 80 years old now and the rest of the surviving members of band are in their late 70s. Richard Wright, the keboardist passed away from cancer some time ago, and founding member Syd Barrett left the band in the late 60s and has also passed away. Life and old age catches all of us in the end.

I don't mind pauses in reaction videos, as long as they are brief and relevant to what you are feeling. That said, after watching this, you probably realize why pausing during a Pink Floyd solo might upset people, many of them are in a meditative trance. As far as closing your eyes go, a lot of people are watching to see your reaction to the visual as well as the audio. I recommend watching first, then listening a second time (off camera) when you can immerse yourself in the music. All in all, a good reaction.

I still remember seeing this Pulse video for the first time and I was so mesmerized by the visuals I didn't even want to blink in case I missed something. There is so much symbolism to be extracted, especially the glitter ball opening up, and whoever managed the light show did a magnificent job of keeping it all synchronized. I suppose some people just subconsciously close their eyes when getting caught up in the music, and if it's good enough for Yo-Yo Ma when he was sitting in the audience for Heart's Led Zeppelin tribute of Stairway to Heaven, then I'll give Bindo a pass as well. Hopefully he'll take a moment in his own time to watch the video from beginning to end; and maybe even do some research on the meaning behind the illuminated diamond at the center of the opened glitter ball.

Doing a Pink Floyd concert with your eyes closed if that's the way you like doing it that's up to you. However I would equate that to going to Star wars or Avatar and keeping your eyes closed during the movie!! Not only is Pink Floyd an audio experience but it's a visual experience each time. They utilize 98 million dollars worth of equipment in 1994 dollars! Again there's nothing wrong with the way you listen to music I'm just pointing something out.

Don't sweat the haters. First saw Pink Floyd in 1973 Tampa Fl, and 3 times after. Their shows were always over the top but this particular performance is actually them at their seasoned best. Every time I went to one of their shows I was tripping. It was just how we did it. The best part about a Pink Floyd concert was people were mesmerized until the song was over and then went nuts until the next. You can see it here. A sea of heads doing the classic Pink Floyd sway. I've seen pretty much every great band , Zeppelin 73 was my first at 13. No adult supervision. There is nothing like Pink Floyd. Full stop. The studio versions of "Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Parts I - V)" and there is a second video for (Parts VI - IX) also the studio version. These two tracks are long ...about 15 and 13 minutes but people don't seem to have an issue with it.. it's a journey. Pausing is easily done on these tracks by pausing just after the transition, stop and say what you think so far and then rewind to just before the transition and continue from there...that way there's no editing ..you just say I'm going back ten seconds so we don't miss anything...so less editing. Thanks again for doing this reaction.

Another musically really interesting track you might enjoy. Pink Floyd "Echoes (Part 1)" live at Pompeii 1972 No Audience, No Lights, No Pyrotechnics just Gods playing to the Gods. The original track is really long with an extended "sound scape" section in the middle, probably not the best for a reaction video. However, the live at Pompeii 1972 is split into two parts. Part 1, you might spot where Sir Andrew Loyd Webber got the main Riff for The Phantom of the Opera 😉

I have seen Pink Floyd Live 4 times… I saw this same show Syracuse Carrier Dome in N.Y. 1994. The concert brochure said the stage is 120 feet wide. It takes a crew of 60 technicians three days to set up the entire lights and all. The concert schedule required that there had to be three entire crews to keep up. They leap froged each other for 92 shows with 20 Trucks per crew and a total staff of 195. The tour cost the promoters $98.MILLION to put on, but the total profit was $260 MILLION. Nick Mason’s drumming is incredible and matches Gilmour’s guitar emotions while Richard Wright takes us on a Magic Carpet Ride of tones that form the foundation of it all. When the “Disco Ball’ was uncovered and the lights hit it….. WHAT IS HAPPENING was what I said….The entire crowd was held in a trace and our minds totally blown by what we witnessed. I sparked up my pipe for this reaction, as I do to all Pink Floyd songs. Thanks

I mean, PF fans make some of the ruddest comments out there. That being said, I read a comment the other day saying that pausing in the middle of a David Gilmour solo is like being abandoned in the middle of nowhere by the Mother Ship, and I couldn't disagree. That's a much nicer way to put it. But really, it's your channel, it's your choice. I know I don't have a thick enough skin to put myself out there like you and others do. So, bravo, young man. 🖖🏽

Back in O.C. Calif when I was 30 my wife heard a commercial on the radio about a David Gilmour show coming up. Knowing I am a Floyd fan she called the radio station (KMET - LA, “The Mighty Met”) to get information on the concert, The DJ on live radio Cynthia Fox…. said...."Congratulations, YOU are caller number 10, YOU just won tickets to the show and the Sound Check Party before the show"... I met David Gilmour back stage. He gave us both a signed album that I have in my music room. We talked for 22 minutes. I called him…“The Master Of The Stratocaster” He smiled. I told him his music will stand the test of time with anything from Beethoven or Mozart. He smiled even bigger. I asked if I could shake both his hands that make such great guitar solos, he smiled bigger and said “Sure” and shook both hands at the same time, making a cross between us, I smiled HUGE. Hard to explain how awesome that moment was in my life. I asked him to describe his technique of playing guitar, he replied… “I strike a note, bend it, shake it and then release it”…. Yes, he does that quite well, better than any other guitarist I know. . I told him in my eyes he’s a “Legend“. He thanked me and said “Enjoy the show”…. during the concert after the song “Money” he looked right at me and said…. “On saxophone, another Legend, Mr. Raphael Ravenscroft” … acknowledging my comment to him. It is my favorite moment in over 300 shows I’ve seen. I asked David…. How do you create those awesome solos?… he said….. I sit on a stool and listen to what Roger, Nick and Rick put down and play along. I listen to what I played and pick out what I like, then I put the pieces together into one piece then learn to play it as one. Our fans are fanatics for our shows to sound like the albums so I must play it correctly each time in a show. I have the concert Brochure and album on the wall with David’s picture centerfold. All of us fortunate enough to have seen this show live were in a TRANCE.... MESMERIZED the entire show... as you can imagine. We walked out saying.... What did we just witness? That was out of this world incredible. The Red Fender Stratocaster he used for this concert in the Guitar Collector World is ....PRICELESS

I think people get upset with pauses (especially during a David Gilmour solo) because it shows you are not being drawn into the music in the way your comments might otherwise suggest. People listen to reaction videos to see if the music reaches the reactor in the same way it reaches them. Why else would they listen? It's not like they can't easily listen to the music uninterrupted elsewhere. That said, I haven't seen your other reaction video, and there is no excuse for rudeness. Keep going. BTW this is the best live recording of the best ever track in rock history.

After your initial comment, I was curious what had gone wrong with your 2016 reaction. Of course, you can pause during a reaction video - that's why it's called a reaction video... but never ever interrupt a solo, and certainly not one by David Gilmour! This borders on blasphemy for any Pink Floyd / David Gilmour fan. The fact that most fans wished for this concert from 1994 is because this concert has a very special meaning. However, in 2016 I was there at the amphitheater in Pompeii and know about the special magic of this concert. Unfortunately, it doesn't come across on the video. Btw; never pick up a guitar when David is playing and you're recording a video. This looks extremely strange. It is just how it is; No one comes close to David.

A reaction is a reaction not a review and analysis. And it's YOUR reaction so if you want/need to pause, do so. Viewers who don't like pauses can watch the original: in the long run you'll be better off without them. That being said, many Pink Floyd albums should really be heard as a whole and if you react to a single track from the end of an album you may be confused because of miss context from earlier. The Wall is a good example of this. In other words, with Pink Floyd I would forget the reactions and enjoy listening to entire albums undisturbed and without worrying about what your viewers might think (you can always review later).

I've noticed that most reactors to this video close their eyes. I guess it's just a subconscious thing people do when getting immersed in music. Personally, the first time I saw this video I didn't even want to blink for fear of missing out on something. But of course I had heard the song (album version) many times before so I didn't feel compelled to get dark-lost in the music... just amazed at how they managed to expand the song into an audiovisual production.

I think most of people started with Pink Floyd through their music first. After they know the song well, they enjoy experience the visual art along. I believe I will follow the same path and will end up enjoying the visual art together with the performance.

Your video? What instrument were you playing? Nothing like using other people's work to make money from.

Have you heard of Fair Use? And the fact that you’re watching my reaction and not the original video. This is also my work.

Most importantly, I don’t make any money from any of my videos, all of it goes to the copyright owner. That means you don’t have to mention that I’m making money from them. I still do the reaction since I like their music and people are still supporting me 😁
