A little about me and this channel:
My name is James Aubrey IV and I just recently graduated college from Iowa State University. After college I decided to take a leap of faith. So I moved to San Diego California to pursue my passion for videography/ KZread. Overall I'm a pretty chill person, outside of KZread I like to longboard, dance, play video games, lift weights and hangout with my friends. I know that success on KZread won't happen overnight but I'm willing to stay patient and put in the work to try to prefect my craft daily. This KZread channel will be centered around my life after college. You will be able to see all of the ups and downs on my journey to success. So if you like the content make sure you subscribe so you can be apart of the Rome Life Family. (Let's build our own personal Rome's together.)
What is the Rome Life ? And What does it mean to be apart of it?
Rome Life is something I started during my Sophomore year of high school (one of the worst times in my life) it started off as me documenting my journey to recovery from my shoulder surgery but eventually it turned into a platform that I could use to encourage myself as well as others to chase our dreams.
Rome Life isn't just a saying it's a way of life and for the people who want to be apart of it have to realize that. Rome wasn't built in a day it took a lot of handwork time and most importantly patience. So you can't expect your dreams to be any different
This is a reaction video used to educated and give my feedback on the song and artist

@exodus21v20 LOL, You obviously have no clue. Listen to Sweet Home again, closely this time, In Birmingham THEY (not we) love the Governor, Boo! Boo! Boo! And to most normal younger people at that time in the 70's that "racist symbolism" you're referring to simply meant a spirit of rebellion, much like the long hair, not racism, heritage, not hate. Did hate groups use it? Yes, but they also use other symbols like the stars and stripes and they really have no right to EITHER.

I went to one of the final concerts they’re probably ever going to have and it was amazing. They paid tribute to the members who passed on and they had Free Bird as their final song. Johnny VanZant, the current lead singer and brother of the original singer, Ronnie, stepped away from the microphone and let Ronnies recording finish out the song. One of the best nights in my whole life right there.

A group of my friends and I listened to this song for the first time in 1973. When it was over we simply stared at each other for a while and said damn... here I am 47 years later watching you have the same reaction. Priceless!!! I would try to give you a list of songs but they are one of those rare groups that every song tells a story and it is told well. Off the top of my head I'd say, Gimme Three Steps, Call Me the Breeze, You Got That Right, I know a Little but there are another 25 or so that are just as good.

Guitarist Steve Gaines, his sister back-up singer Cassie Gaines, long time friend and assistant road manager Dean Kilpatrick, and lead singer, songwriter, and founding member Ronnie Van Zant were all killed when Skynyrd's plane ran out of fuel and crashed in a swamp near Gilsburg, Mississippi on October 20th, 1977. Long time pilots Walter McQueary and William Gray both died on impact also. 20 other band members, crew members, and friends survived the crash, but most of them were hospitalized for lengthy periods with severe injuries. At the original grave site of Skynyrd front-man Ronnie Van Zant laid a marble slab dedicated to him by Van Zant's long time friend, the late Charlie Daniels. The marble slab reads: "A Brief Candle, Both Ends Burning. An Endless Mile, A Bus Wheel Turning. A Friend To Share A Lonesome Time, A Handshake And A Sip Of Wine. Say It Loud And Let It Ring, We're All A Part Of Everything. The Future, Present, and The Past, Fly High Proud Bird Your Free At Last."

Pretty soon people are going to start suggesting you check out "Frankenstein" by Edgar Winter. After that, they'll tell you he pulls it off live, and you should check out the live version. (My recommendation is the 2007 Rockpalast performance- The sound is better than the 1973 live performance that's also on KZread, although the energy on the 73 version is also great) Here's a few other things for you to check out: Robin Trower - "Bridge of Sighs", "Day of the Eagle", "For Earth Below" Masters of Reality - "John Brown", "Kill The King" Bob Dylan - "Subterranean Homesick Blues", "Maggie's farm", "The Times They Are a' Changin'" Motorhead - "Ace of Spades", "Talking Head", "Just 'Cos You've Got the Power (2004 live in Dusseldorf version)"

In 1977 the band boarded a plane after one of their shows in South Carolina and headed for another show in Louisiana. The plane ran out of fuel and crashed in Mississippi killing lead singer Ronnie Van Zant, guitarist Steve Gaines, backup singer and Steve's sister Cassie, the assistant road manager, pilot and the copilot. Other members were injured but survived. It devastated every Skynyrd fan out there. This song is epic...stands the test of time. It will live on forever along with the memory of those who lost their lives that night in the Mississippi woods.

You also had Eagles, Marshall Tucker Band, Allman Brothers, Molly Hatchet, .38 Special. There’s others I’ve not listed. All of these bands had some really great songs, and this music was wildly popular at the time.

Half of the band died in a plane crash at the height of popularity. When Lynyrd Skynyrd finally reformed with the survivors and former band members, it was agreed that all future performances of Free Bird be done as an instrumental. Even without the vocals, Free Bird is one of the best songs out there. They originally formed in 1964, but it was in 1969 when they took the name Lynyrd Skynyrd. There have been many changes in band members, but they are still recording today, currently working on album number 15. Welcome to Southern Rock. IMO, the best rock there is.
