Can’t believe the posts saying they never tasted mashed potatoes b4. 😮 We don’t use heavy cream but a bit of sour cream. Always use Idaho, russet / Yukon gold are so small.

I had irish potato without egg. Searched for mashed potatoes and found your post. Thou i didn't have heavy cream but I made it and it tasted good, and then i fried some portion in pan with little oil for like 1min or less and it was still the mashed but also great (gave a diff taste vibe). Thanks.

Heavy cream is what we normally use here in the States for whipping cream. So yes! :) You can even just use whole milk.

Sorry but you can't get creamy mashed potatoes with the peel. With that said it all depends on what you want.

Yes it was. The camera ALWAYS makes things look larger than they actually are. Plus it literally doesn’t matter I said add about 1 tsp. It doesn’t have to be exact at all.
