Yeah you have to learn to be able to ID the filters visually because often the description has nothing to do with the item.

I got one of those mislabeled items, it was an interceptor body armor vest from like 2000 and it was labeled as “flak jacket” so it costed only $90. I also got a used M50 in pretty good condition and the filters are still good since the indicators are white on both filters.

I've just bought one size 1. Sold as used on eBay. 1987 it's in good condition. I have bought rubbing alcohol to give it a clean. I paid £95.00 with a indate filter. Not overly concerned about the price.

Great video; thank you. What by chance do you think a surplus Canadian Large C4 mask with an expired sealed filter is worth? I'm not really seeing many for sale, but I'm in Canada and the local surplus store has one for $150 USD. I currently just have a 3m 6900, but it's a bit boring.

Classic example now. Dutch FM12, normal price is 25/35 with bag. I just sold one for 75 Euros here in Netherlands. Thanks Corona and people who have no idea at all.

I'm not actually sure if you need recoil proof red dots for crossbows or not, I have a Daisy red dot sight on one of my crossbows but that has a dovetail mount not a 20mm Weaver mount.

Most optics will work even on assault rifles, provided its not plasticky or cheaply made. You are spoiled for choice basically. View some of Taofledermaus' videos on cheap optics

I think i asked this question before (and probably countless other people did too) but at what price would you deem worthy for an s10 or sf10? Haversack and filter included. As although i know that most prices are about 40 pounds but there might be some that are less. As i suspect there would be a really cheap one that is probably a scam. So what would be a “safe” price? As i dint want to spend more than a gp5 and getting some polish om 14 instead. P.S saw an s6 listed as an s10.lol

I often see MUA that the seller calls GP-5. An ML called GP-4. MC-1 as a "ww2 gas mask". RSC as a "soviet gas mask". MP-4 as a "german ww2 gas mask". Etc etc...

Yeah I've even seen GP5 masks listed as rare WW1 gas mask

I couldn't find anything of s10 mask sizes. They only I know is between 1-4, large to extra small. There is not a measure thing. What size of s10 do you have?

I normally get Avon masks in size 2, Large/medium for the S10 and medium for the FM12. I've never seen a size chart for them though.

Wait a minute, so you mean I could just go to a hardware store and buy 40mm filters there? Do they only work for NATO threads, or do they work for GOST threads too?

They're normally NATO threaded although they give them a different name, most hardware stores will stock 3M filters but some also stock 40mm filters.

So where do you get these masks from? All I own is the Yugoslavian Vietnam era mask that I got from a army disposals

I paid 200 euros for a FM12 from 1997 from the dutch military with a 2019 sealed avon filter. The mask was still in a bag and box “new”. Also came with a dry bag from the military for the mask

If you mean test, attach one to a mask, get a strong smelling liquid and see if you can smell it through the mask and filter, if you can the filter is old and useless. If you can't smell anything the filter is still somewhat good.

Unless they are stolen property sold to civilians no you cannot, buy an ABEK-P RD40 filter it will fit the mask and do the same thing as a NATO filter.

Sometimes in date ones turn up on Amazon or Ebay but they cost a lot more than getting an ABEK filter normally.

When your trying to get a modern still in use gas mask bit the only seller you can find is a german fetish store and you see some goofy things.

There are no prop filters for GP-5s, if you want a non functioning filter just force a NATO filter onto it.

M50's usually go for 250. I've seen some for 100, which is great. GP5's are usually 10 to 20 dollars.

@@autoeroticasphyxiation i got mine for 140 with US shipping. It came with 2 filters and the satchel too. Just try to talk the buyer into making it a bit cheaper if you're in the US. They go for around 70 pounds on Ebay UK, which is where you'll find them
