At Home Keratin Treatment on Natural Hair Ion Smooth Solutions
Here is an in-depth look into my keratin straightening routine at home for natural hair. This particular keratin hair straightening treatment does not permanently straighten hair! Instead it strengthens the hair making it less frizzy and more manageable!
If you’d like to see the first wash day after using keratin, leave a comment down below!
I forgot to mention that the bottle says DO NOT wash your hair or get it wet for 3 days to let everything set!

I love watching you do your hair! It always looks so great! So I recently decided to grow out my shape and I want to wear my hair straight more frequently than before and get it cut in a straight state vs curly cuts and I agree with you about the revair- it's less damaging and it's worth the splurge if you want to use heat or straighten. I wish I hadn't gotten rid of mine 😩. Your hair always looks like salon quality when you do it omg! Thank you for clearing up the info about keratin because I thought it would give permanent results too but this one doesn't sound bad at all!

Thank you for sharing this product. I’ve been searching for something like this to help maintain my hair living in a humid environment that won’t damage my natural curls so much. I have also found that wearing braid outs and twist outs too often breaks the ends of my hair and I would have to cut more hair off. My hair personally just doesn’t fair well with twist outs and wearing my natural curly hair frequently. I’ve tried it multiple times and I always have way more breakage no matter how moisturized my hair is, but if I blow dry my hair once or twice a week and straighten my hair every other week, my hair grows quickly and I only have to cut off a half an inch every two months. Generally I retain two inches of hair growth every three months. Definitely considering using this product and looking forward to an update.❤

See that’s so interesting you experienced more growth when blow drying, I’ve seen a few other videos and comments of women saying the same thing! I think I will try to blow dry my hair after the shower every week and then do a twist out of flexi Rod every other day to see if that helps!

All the research suggests no heat or minimal heat but I’m finding with my own experience that heat is fine as long as you use a good heat protectant. My heat protectant of choice is the “Chi 44 Iron Guard”. It works great. I’ve been using it almost a year now this fall and I haven’t had any heat damage at all.

I’m dealing with horrible split ends lately from where I slowed down my wash and conditioning routine because I recently had my 3rd child last year and stopped having the time to care for my hair. And I’m the same, sometimes I feel when I’m styling my natural curls it’s doing more harm than good from the constant manipulation and extra products I have to use compared to my straightened natural hair

How many times have you used this kerstin treatment? Do you find it flaking when it has run its course? That is what hapoened whwn i did a professional keratin. At four months, you could see the keratin coating cracking on the hair shaft snd my hair looked worse than before i had it put in. That is where people would get addicted to keratin because it looked so terrible as it wore off.

Thanks for your video. There are SO many contradictions out there about keratin saying that keratin is good and then keratin is bad, drying out your hair, thinning out hair and causing breakage. What's your thoughts? Do you think it's okay to do a keratin treatment and then NOT blowdry it after? and just let it dry on it's own? I bought the Keratin by ANSWR have you ever used that one? It doesn't have Formaldyhide but usually when they take out formaldihyde they usually replace it with something almost identical with a different name...but all the reviews for ANSWR are REALLY good...but anyway, tell me what you think...

I have not used that one so I’m not sure about it to be honest. I will say nothing is “clean or toxic free” including the keratin. I did notice shedding after this keratin treatment I did and chalked it up to postpartum shedding because it’s never caused me shedding in the past. So as a result I am doing away with the keratin. I’ve also noticed my hair is more manageable when I take care of it(fuller, less breakage) so learning to care for it(finger detangling, little heat, etc.) has done what I wanted the keratin to do which was make it easier for me to manage! Hope that helps
