I'm 4a/4b/4c hair texture...and it took me 3 years to acknowledge that I did not have the same texture as my type 3 hair counterparts. When I finally realized, I was so upset. B/c society taught me that straight hair was more beautiful, and if you did have curly hair, it had to be loose curls, not tight. But now IDC. I love my hair for what it is! And feel even more free than the day I big chopped. I'm keeping heat at a minimum and am trying my hardest to grow out my heat damage. I LOVE YOUR HAIR. I think its beautiful, fabulous, and none of us should ever feel like we're worthless, because God gave us these features. There's nothing wrong with it. Love your channel!

hello darkness my old friend Just dont use super high heat. I have been natural most of my life I only got heat damage in a very small section and my hair is very fine

hello darkness my old friend i agree w/ jaclyn D! Roller setting gets the ends super smooth and i barely have to use a flat iron... the drying time w/ roller though are crazy! My hair took like 4 hours!

I want to start blow drying my hair when I do my mini twist because my hair shrinks up. I think all that moisturizing you did was a good idea. Though you used heat, your hair doesn't look fried, if that makes sense. It truly dies look moisturize and heat styled at the same time. Your hair look so healthy, full, and long.

You're right the key is to blow dry it as straight a possible and then just finish it off with the flat iron. You'll do less passes with the flat iron when you give it a good blow dry first. I learned this the hard way. Great video.

I realize after I went natural that when I relaxed my hair I actually liked how full it was right before I relaxed it. It is like that all the time now. I love it. I discovered the paddle brush is the key to my hair being silky. And yes, it takes a lot of strength to blow dry. Whew. By the way, your skin is beautiful.
