    FOR CLARITY: on the subject of curls (because I’ve had a few questions) it does soften your curls, especially at the start. But personally my curls bounce back pretty quickly, as proven in my vlogs where you can see my curls are happy healthy and thriving. It has never once fully gotten rid of my curls because it’s not a permanent straightener. Hope this helps anyone who’s dmd me. Obviously do more research, and particularly look for people who have your curl type for more examples of what to expect. But if you are unsure to the point where you feel the need to find me on insta and tell me I’m wrong about my own experience then it’s safe to say this treatment isn’t for you lol 💗 also you can always just treat a small section of hair to see if you like the results before doing your whole head. You have options x

I remember getting a keratin treatment a really long time ago at the salon and I really loved it but I can’t believe I paid over 300€ . I might try it sometimes with your videos if I’m not feeling too lazy 😅

  • @Jaymfs

    It’s really not hard, it just takes forever. The price is high in salons because we have to pay for their time, which is totally understandable and fair. I’d charge just as much if I was them. And omg I’m lazy too, I spend at least two weeks mentally preparing myself for this every time 😂

    Looks better, lasts a bit longer, and my curls prefer this formula. I wear my hair both curly and straight a lot now, probably curly more then straight, and my curls have been great with this! This formula is also formaldehyde free. I can't find it stated on their website anymore, but I think uncurly has formaldehyde and I know it's important to a lot of people to have a formula that doesn't contain this. cocochoco is also easier for me to buy and I know this is not important but, I prefer the packaging loool

If you’re uncomfortable you can buy the product from the brands website, or look for an alternative supplier x

    Tanks for the update! Iam wondering why the keratin treatment is working for you. Do you know your hair porosity? Before using keratin treatments? I have used is for about 5 years and stopped doing it because my hair broke of. I used this product, uncurly and oder brands but after a while…same thing happened again and again. I was doing the treatment every 3-5 months. My cousin and my friend had the same experience (both are very low porosity hair)as well as my sister with her high porosity hair. I would say my hair is medium to low porosity. I would love to use it again after almost one year but Iam scared 😟

  • @Jaymfs

    @Jaymfs

    2 ай бұрын

    You can try doing a small test piece of hair first to see how it reacts, no need to go all in at first. I have no idea what my porosity is, how do I check? I have always always believed I have good experiences with products because I put a lot into looking after my hair. I’m picky with my products, and take hair masking and moisturising a tad too seriously lol. I’m also convinced my hair is strong because I don’t over wash it, I try and wash it as little as possible tbh. It grows SO much faster with less washing

  • @mrsbryant

    @mrsbryant

    2 ай бұрын

    @@Jaymfs thanks for your answer. Good idea , I might do a strand test. I would say our hair is very similar. So why not give it a try. Currently I wash my hair once a weak dann flat iron it and leave it alone. I noticed when Iam making a keratin treatment my hair gets easily wet and dry. But without its hard to get it fully wet and try. Low porosity means your hair needs MINUTES to get fully wet and moisturize ( usually if takes heat like a hooded dryer to open the cuticles) it also stays wet and moisturize longer and doesn’t like a lot of products because it ways the hair down and doesn’t penetrate the hair cause the cuticles are fairly closed. Thats why a lot of women use heat when deep conditioning. High porosity instead is the other extreme. Hair gets wet instantly, goes well with a oils, gels, creams( often combination of all three products to hold on the moisture because the cuticles are open therefore the hair gets dry fast) no need to use heat with high porosity hair. Of course there also is normal porosity but usually your natural hair tends towards high or low porosity. So the test is with natural untreated hair. Run water over it and observe how fast it gets wet. So to my main point. I have heard that keratin treatments are worst for low porosity hair and best for high porosity hair. I don’t know if that’s true because my own observation was that neither my cousin(extreme low porosity hair) nor my sister(very high porosity hair) liked the keratin treatments they used( it was a Amazon product, don’t know the name) and my own hair loved it for a while but I have made some changes and a lot of errors like coloring my hair multiple times and getting lazy with my moisture regimen. the first time I have used it was 2018 I think I have seen your first video and bought the same product. I loved it and my hair grew so long but then I’ve gone through uncurly, a Brazilian brand and an Amazon product. I think I used this brand but the white version of it a long time ago. Maybe I’ll try the gold version and see because the maintenance of my hair is very high without any treatment.

Completely frizzed and frazzled- I’ve had to cut off all my hair and grow it out. I’m wondering what I did wrong. I think I did 2 treatments 2 months apart but thought that was ok? Any idea what I did wrong?? Really can’t afford or like the salon options as they change my blonde colour

  • @Jaymfs

    This is a salon formula though so a little confused by the end of this comment? Was it this exact product you used or a different keratin treatment. I’ve never heard of overuse issues with this, but I’ve heard of bleaching problems from blonde hair so if you’re not a natural blonde it could be the dying that’s the issue. It’s probably worth contacting the supplier if the actual keratin treatment formula you used if you think it’s the keratin x

    It could be the high temperature on the flat iron combined with the short time space in between. A lot of woman who use this treatment actually only doing the roots. After a year they are doing the lengths and ends again. Lower temperature and only 1-2 passes on the lengths. Hope that helps. I had the same issue and had to cut all of.
