MY FIRST WASH DAY AFTER KERATIN TREATMENT REVEALED 💆🏽‍♀️
Here is the promised video of my first wash day after my keratin treatment! The keratin treatment I used was the ion smooth keratin treatment and this treatment as I stated was never meant to straighten my hair but instead protect and make it more manageable which it absolutely did!

I know your hair is dirty at the beginning of the video but HOW did you get those pretty waves??? Was it pin curled up over night and the waves were just a result of adding all the oil before the wash?? Also, do you wear a bonnet to bed? Or just use a silk/satin pillow case?? I'm a wild sleeper but I am contemplating quitting bonnets because of the stress to my edges (very fragile edges). I have a round, appley shaped head so if I don't darn near strangle my scalp tying them on all my bonnets roll off somewhere into my sheets at night😩

@@teijmeij7423 I had my hair in a single braid before this(one cornrowed to the back) and that created the waves! You could also do 2 braids on each side, the more braids the less wavy I find! Also I sleep with a silk scarf, no bonnet unless my hair is curly and in a pineapple. The scarf helps protect my edges :)

Gurl I’m convinced now! I love my thick hair but I’m ready for it to be more manageable.

I know what you mean 🥹 it works because your hair is still thick and curly it’s just easy to detangle!

I am loving the hair! I used to get keratin treatments and never thought of it or did much research. But I do know there was some follow up care. I am loving how healthy and beautiful your hair looks.

Omg I'm so glad i found this channel, you've encouraged me to try this keratin. I def wanted to avoid relaxers and a more permanent treatment, but i need something more manageable bc I grew up used to straightened hair that I could just style and go. And I spend too much time with my hair before work DAILY. Thank you so much for all your information. Subbed! And btw, your hair is gorgeous 😍

Thank you! I have been looking all over for a a video that actually shows what keratin treated hair looks like after a wash day without being straightened. I dont want to wear my hair straight, i just wanted to see what difference it would make to my natural texture.

I run a salon… keratin is not for that curly hair. In fact any hair treatment for that curly hair won’t work except rebonding… that also won’t give pencil straight hair.

I’ve mentioned that pin straight hair isn’t my goal, I have noticed people get that result from Brazilian straightening treatments which is not something I’m interested in

Do you think it will be okay if I exceed the two week mark and go a full month/two months of not washing my hair, or do you think that’ll damage it? Most of the time when I’ve done a regular straight style (no keratin treatment), I just ride it out for however long I can before I sweat my curls out… can I take that same approach?

Do you use a heat protectant when you initially apply the treatment or is the treatment a heat protectant?

Why is it that some lose all their curl pattern and other don’t with keratin treatments?

I did them for years in my hair. If you want to keep your curl pattern the main thing is to use a ceramic flatiron, use less heat (between 370 - 410 degrees) and less passes. I only wanted keratin so I could get the benefit of humidity resistance. Using my flatiron at 410 degrees(I have 3c/4a medium strand density) with 4 four passes allowed me to keep my curls and get humidity resistance. When I used a titanium iron at 450 degrees and did 7-10 passes, my hair was straight when it was wet. The keratin can't break the bonds in your hair like a relaxer does BUT the heat can with or without keratin.
