Thanks so much for your patience as I develop new content in my very busy schedule. I very much appreciate your continued attention and eager commentary. Thank you, all.
This is a bit of a long-awaited video, and for the sake of brevity I had to cut some of the material short (the video is already over one hour long, sorry). As such, I didn't get a chance in the video to talk about how damage is modified based on chance. Please see below the maths for calculating damage with hit chance - and the part which decides whether what you deal is a grazing shot or a wrecking blow.

Mr. Jurius Doctor, In game, when moussing over my guns I see what is basically a double set of red rings. One red shaded area appears to be between my ship and the optimal range distance. The other red shaded area appears to be just inside of the falloff range. Any chance of doing an explanation of these two red shaded areas and what they really mean? If you can't tell by the question I am very new to eve.

These are great vids, I would just like to ask, can the angular speed be compared to the tracking speed of turrets or is there any way to compare it ? I mean, if turret says 0.15689 tracking or something, can I then look at object in space that is doing like 0.123658... and think "ok, I can track this perfectly since it's within capability of my turret tracking speed" ? I'm playing eve on and off since end of 2004 and I still don't know this, I just "wing it", usually use angular in format x.xxx and have kinda sense what is too much, but I don't think these two are directly comparable right ? The tracking speed and angular speed. Or there is something more to it than just "if turret tracking speed is less then angular velocity and you are in optimal range and got proper gun vs sig radius of the ship you 100% hit it". Any responses to this topic would be amazing :) edit: Finished the video, need no extra information ;)

Missile launcher skills are separate. Anything specifically referring to turrets is a gunnery skill. Missiles and Gunnery skills are separated into their own groups in the skills window of your character sheet (Alt+A)

This is the most inane thing I've read since Trump left office. The data it transmits is optical in nature, ten Terabytes a year, in fact, which is actually significantly less than your average professional sports photographer, but the images are taken at such a ridiculously high quality that scientists are able to isolate and expand portions to a ludicrous degree. Its primary mirror is more than seven feet across. www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/hubble/story/index.html

That it is capturing more than the visible light spectrum doesn't invalidate the fact that it is, quite literally, a very large off-world camera. Any more than the FLIR systems are called Forward-Looking Infrared CAMERAS.

@@Prometheus4096 I'm not a dev, and I don't see the code, so anything I remark would be an assumption and kindly likely to be wrong. That said, if it's an RNG on percentile or RNG on chance to hit, whether you're in falloff or not, and how good your tracking is, either way it comes out as a wash. Unless your target is sitting dead still and you're moving without prop at speed, your unlikely to do max damage potential every shot.
