I apoligize to everyone for the emergency services sirens in the audio around the thirty minute mark; I had my window open because it's hot as balls here, and it's a side effect of living in a metropolis. On that note, to any and all emergency services: thank you for your service!

    As a noob I had a Corax and fit it with rocket launchers and a microwarp drive and I couldn't really understand why it didn't work too well, then I saw this video about minmatar ships and I realized I wasn't using ships for their bonuses, what I was looking to use all along was a Talwar with its mwd bonus and missile and rocket bonus, when I fit the Talwar for that missile-boat-brawler fit I wanted the Corax to be, the Talwar excelled, made me so excited about using ships.

    I think you can tell from their organisation, structure and ships (especially the names!) that Minmatar are basically space vikings. They're clearly CCP's favourite race as evidenced by the fact the Jove like them the most but luckily this has never had an unbalancing impact on the game.

    So Gallente are space Merica, Caldari are a cross between the romulan empire and starfleet, the Amarr are like the Ori and Minmatar are space nomads.

  • @GonzoTehGreat

    @GonzoTehGreat

    WaveForceful The ancestors of the Gallente were French so their society is obviously based on France's "Egalite, Liberte, Fraternite". The Federation can be loosely compared to the E.U. extrapolated into the future. The Caldari are a mixture of native american (ideology) and corporate USA/Japan (politically) extrapolated into a future where corporations have taken over the role of government and US individuality has been replaced by Japanese conformity. The Amarr are mixture of medieval Catholic church (ideology) and the modern day Middle East (politically) extrapolated into a future where these countries have unified into a single Caliphate, which initially embarked on an expansionist Jihad but was forced to make peace. However, it's important to remember that while these races are based on and take inspiration from real racial/political/ideological groups we shouldn't take these comparisons too far!

    @@WaveForceful No, the Gallente cannot be space Murica', they are way too socialist for that, they are like space EU. The Caldari are hyper-capitalistic and militaristic , now THAT is America.

    Always. However, we ask that if you are looking to be a miner or industrialist that you apply stating as such. If you are interested in PvP, we require an extensive killboard history (good and bad), demonstrable effort put into PVP, and a willingness to learn. Apply in-game in the #IronArmadaRecruitment Channel, or email me in-game.

    17:44 Did you explain the velocity formula before you went over this? I had to look it up to make actual sense of what you're talking about. The mass/thrust Velocity bonus is not exactly intuitive or RL physics sound. And your "Example" doesn't really make sense either.... And you didn't explain the Mass Addition and that this is the reason the 10mn AB turns slower... V_max = V_base * (1 + V_bonus * (Thrust/Mass)) Rifter: 1,067,000kg, 365m/s (don't forget prop mass addition) 10mn AB: 365 * (2.35 * (15,000,000/5,067,000)) = 2,539 m/s 1mn MWD: 365 * (6 * (1,500,000/1,567,000)) = 2,096 m/s

    I am vary much liking your video's. You explain well. You speak GOOD English, and your video's are well organized. At least it appears that way to me. The round is pronounced- Sahh-boy not saa-bot. The word is French and I believe it means collar. The round looks like a sharply pointed bullet. When fired the case falls off and the dart continues on. You strike me as someone who likes to do things the right way and this is why I am telling you.
