Mega Thx for an Awesome video review for this dual microphone setup. My wife & I just got both the IPhone 13 Pro Max as well as the Apple 11 IPad Pro (11”) 3rd Gen tablets. Would you recommend us using a 3 axis gimbal or one of the Smallrig or Ulanzi cage systems which might accommodate all of our accessories while either outside or indoors?

Hello Zdenka, Thank you for your great, lovely & honest review! The only issue you did not mention during the test, is the LCF (low cut Filter) feature that is not included in this version. Have you checked the latest version Boom X-U which includes this feature? Do you think that Boom X-U is a better system? Greatly appreciate your advice

Audio is very important i discovered , and light as well has been my biggest challenge ,filming with Samsung S9+ Use a cheap lavalier at the moment trying to avoid the winds sound as i destroys all sound. Nice videos learning alot from you :)

@@ZdenkaDarula Wind is definitely one of them :) Practicing B-roll at the moment and shortfilm with sound effects, music sound to make an atmosphere to my videos so at them moment since my equipment is not the best i choose to practice things where live sound does not become a big problem :) Use what you got, adapt to the situasion mentality. Just finished 1min30sec shortfilm "hunted" and practice some color grading at the same time. Only been doing this for 9 months so still a lot to learn so keep the videos coming ;)

The test was done in the video. It catches all the sounds around you so cars, birds... everything as I was showing that’s what you’re going to get. 🎬📸😊🎥

Hi Zdenka, Thank you for great review. I buy BoomX-D UC-1 (smartphone USB-C) and also D-1 (one transmitter and one reciver). When record video with camera/dslr no problem. Problem with sound interruptions is when record on smartphone (Filmic pro). There is small sound interruptions. Big problem is when stream to FB live with smartphone. There is big big sound breaks. Did you try to stream to FB live with comica BoomX-D? Do you have sound interruptions? Thank you

I recently picked up a comica shotgun mic to save money . It works fine , plastic felt cheap . It didn't seem to be build tough but it sounded ok. Good enough for what I spent . That is my first attempt to check out comica . I may pick this wireless up as another budget option to get me by while I save up for better gear.

I found the best audio i get is from a digital recorder rather than a wireless mic. I just line it up in post. But, If i had to do wireless i suppose the 2.4 ghz band systems are good. I haven't found the need for the distance you were going to do a video. Thanks for doing the review.

Was the noise when shooting indoors caused by interference from with in your studio or was in from with in the wireless mic? It sounded like interference. I was hoping you also checked the noise floor when you shot outside. The mic sounded so much better outdoors. I am looking for a back up pair of wireless mics so I am considering getting one of the comica's but the noise floor, if it is the mic, on this unit is way to high.

Someone else actually suggested that you can adjusted all mom the receiver with the breaking the volume down I think. Try to do some research on Google about it I am pretty sure I read it somewhere. 😊🎬📸🎥

Funny you should review the Comica....I ordered the Rode GO wireless, and based upon another review, I changed my mind and ordered the Comica...i could not cancel the Rode (thanks Amazon) so they BOTH just came today....I think I'll try them both, maybe do a comparison......I am also going to try the Zoom Z1...it's a recorder that has some great features, including add-on Modules that allow you to use XLR cables. That means I can use my MHK-416 Sennheiser with the Zoom when I am in-studio, and either the Rode or Comica when i'm in the field...it's nice to have choices, eh?

The comica certainly has a few advantages over the Rode out-of-the-box...Including a Lav Mic included (the Rode is a separate purchase) the Headphone monitor, and a nice Hardcase.

That is something I have to try myself first. The cable is loose so he should be OK. But the thought is how to attach it to the actual gimbal. You cannot clip it on the phone while using the gimbal 🎬📸😊🎥

Hi Zdenka! I have heard that some smartphones are not able to accept audio from external sources like the comica wireless mic. Have you had / heard of anyone having trouble using the comica wireless mic with an old iPhone or android phone? Maybe they were talking about the TRS-TRSS adaptor that is required? I'm not sure. Zdenka, thank you. I have serious questions and statements, lol. I am having trouble with learning gain control for the wireless mic. Filmic Pro has that slider under the timecode on the Huawei, but I still seem to be peaking no matter how low I reduce the slider volume. Also...I noticed that Huawei Mate 20 Pro does not record PCM in FIlmic Pro. It actually records terrible sound. I used Pro Movie and an old iPhone 6 and it even supported PCM. Just something for you guys that want to blog in future...iPhone has best support for mics and sound and things it seems.

But I did notice that iPhone has a lot more easier usage when it comes to the video and audio. However the Samsung galaxy S 10+ I also have is not bad either. 🎬📸😊🎥

The mic picked up the sounds of the car running behind you (or is there traffic behind the camera the the mic also picked up too). Would this be a problem if the mic picks up sounds from your surrounding when you don't want that to happen?

I chose very busy location on purpose To see how much it catches surrounding sounds and it does catch birds sound in the car sound quite a bit. There’s not a shotgun microphone so it will always record other sounds. You need to select quiet locations 🎬📸😊🎥

I was hoping you were going to review the UC2 where the receiver docks directly into the smartphone and use it with the osmo mobile 3. My configuration.

BOYA BY-WM4 PRO are also excellent wireless audio option I’ve used them for a while no issues at all excellent solution and more cost effective and slightly more range and more stable connection than the Rode Wireless Go system. As always great content 👍😍😀

Yes I do agree... The hiss is there. Someone commented once how to remove it and I totally forgot how. I should have kept it ...,there is a way to reduce it

Hi. Thanks. Another reviewer that you cant get both mics to input simultaneously on stereo, only mono. Basically, if you want stereo, it has to be only one mic. If this is the case, how bad/good is mono audio if someone has to make this compromise?

No pairing required… it is all ready straight from the factory

A lot of digital noise (in the quite / floor tests, which was very useful thank you), sounding like some one is cooking bacon, or in the old days a Capacitor on its way out, it should be dead quite, as any normalising is going to give it a bit of grief.

Ce qu'on voudrait c'est qu'on entende bien sa voie mais par contre qu'on entend un peu moins le bruit du Thermomix qui est assez bruyant par défaut ? What we would like is that we hear our voice well but on the other hand we hear a little less the noise of the Thermomix which is quite noisy by default? I face challenges in audio quality, especially when during motovlogging. Unfortunately, I still haven't figured out a way to avoid the wind noise and capture my audio too. Although I feel comica is extremely easy to use, plug in and play.

I got that system and i can't hear the sound more than 12 feed away . Am i doing anything wrong ? I do not want to return it but i need it for longer distance . Can you advice me what to do ?

That is strange. I have no idea why this could be. I walk very far away from it often and I don’t have problems…. I would contact their support

You mentioned smartphone in the review (1'.49") but then never mentioned it again what was the smartphone connection? thanks

It’s all depends what type of phone you have. If you have just 1 lens on the phone you’re OK if you have a wide angle lens you might see the motor in the view. 🎬🎥📸😊

Ahoj, mikrofon jsem koupil a jdu jej vrátit. Zaznamenaný šum, který je obtěžující mě k tomu donutil. Bohužel jsem se nechal zlákat recenzemi prodejců z ČR, kde na rozdíl od tebe nerecenzovali dle pravdy, ale dle zájmu o profit. Škoda že jsem se nepodíval na tvoje video jako první... Nemusel bych nyní podstupovat vrácení, zasílání atd... Díky za neupravený šum...

To mě moc mrzí že máte takovou zkušenost. Jsem se taky dá odstranit v post Adobe premiére pro. Je tam “denoise” Bohužel nevím jak je to včeštině.... Mockrát zdravím

No.. this is only for cameras

We bought some cheap mics and they got interference noise and started buzzing all the time. While using these has anyone have issues with electronic noise interference. Plan on mounting receiver next to gimbal. Also a lot of interference noise from cell phones computers and other devices
